Domo is a decent product. I prefer Power BI if given the choice, but Domo is 2nd for me.
Fairly easy to use. Able to handle a lot of data and data sources. Updates much quicker than Tableau.
Not as easy to drill down through the data like Power BI. The visualizations are not as good as other software products either.

A great BI platform
It makes me able to collaborate all sorts of data together to be able to come up with some really great and useful information that you can take and turn into actionable steps. The graphing and dash-boarding is really simple and clean. The design is vibrant and makes things like checking call stats more appealing. The UI is very easy to master and intuitive.
It support forums are not easy to search. you cannot manipulate the detail inside of domo very easily.

Software had many collaboration features built in from the ground up allowing teams to huddle around data and graphs and make decisions. Loved the interface as well which easily allows manipulating cards of info. Plus, it comes pre-setup with role based reports that make transition faster. Customer support is very quick and they have added a ton of raw data connections to connect to our variety of data sources
This is like the Cadillac of BI tools. Can get very expensive for organizations

After having installed and integrated Domo BI software into our daily business practice, our team has realized a substantial increase in productivity across our operations spectrum. As we were attempting to investigate alter solutions to our current BI software , we discovered that Domo offered capabilities which far surpassed our current software BI. The overall result is a new found independence from IT service and entanglement to an extensive degree.
Domo software allowed our team to bring together data from our cloud services as well as from our on premise servers. The resulting organization allows ease of access at all times and from this point we can create flow charts as well as whole profiles which we can then access from desktop or mobile devices. These profiles are aggregated in what they call "cards" ; a rather easily understood and effective mode of communication and presentation.
There is not much to dislike regarding Domo's BI solution. From Domo's recollection, contextualization , and presentation our team productivity has accelerated cycles and become much more productive, The only con to relate is is that not all features we wanted to try are available in the introductory trial version of the software, This condition is not an impediment as the software performs so fluidly that we were happy to extend our confidence to the full version.

Love the support and set up process Domo offers from the start -- they ensure success of BI for your business.
Support turnaround time, innovative BI offerings, ease of communication with reps, always growing and improving based on customer feedback!
support documentation for self service! They're growing this out, but would love to be as much of a power user as possible.

Overall we are very happy with the cloud -based BI solution and would recommend it to other companies.
Beautiful interface and easy to use without any programming or SQL experience. Many important functions (variance calculation) that were missing have been added in the past months. ETL function makes it easy to combine various datasets from many different sources and many out-of-the-box connectors are already installed and ready to import data (google analytics, shopify, Instagram, Twitter, google sheets etc.). Reports can be exported into a customized powerpoint presentation with a button click and distributed to the company. The buzz messenger function allows our company to communicate quickly if there are issues with reports or if we see interesting trends and have questions. Great app that allows to view charts anywhere.
Customizable access rights would be beneficial. Currently there are 5 different access rights options. More flexibility in structuring the page (chart size options) and more color options in reports. The table format is very basic and needs improvement such as variance calculations and more layout options. Automatically scheduled reports and alerts can currently only be sent to Domo users with a license.

My experience is awesome, I worked in DOMO for almost 5+years and I love this tool
Its a combination of everything Data extraction --> building ETL--> Dashboard Creation
DOMO is a bit expensive, and the higher management must consider that when compared with other BI tools.

Pretty good product for connecting to databases for quick visualization.
The Domo BI gave me the option to attach multiple data sources to a common visualization platform which was pretty good.
There was a little jitter in setting up these connections to the databases, but once it was done, the sync was smooth

The single greatest benefit has been the ability to combine data from three different systems to provide a combined view of our sales operations, without having to bounce between three different systems, and maintaining full control of what and how we want to report and visualize our data
The standout feature of Domo is the ability to use a single platform to ingest data, transform it, visualize, and analyze. For companies that do not have a mature BI program or groups that do not have sufficient BI support, Domo permits those groups the ability to gain access to data-driven insights within a single platform.
There are often bottlenecks in running dataflows at peak times of the day (most notable b/t 8-11AM eastern).

It assists us in seeing what is buried beneath the data. You are aware that not every data can be seen in an excel sheet. It eliminates the need to manually pull and enter all of our data, which is time-consuming. It also allows us to visualise and alter our data in ways that were previously impossible. It offers just remarkable analytical capabilities that have helped us to better leverage all of the organization's data to make choices, particularly commercial and financial ones.
Every function is quite simple to use, but if you don't know how to utilise it, they provide fantastic knowledge-based publications. Domo enables us to create really well-designed dashboards that present data from numerous sources fast and effortlessly. When it comes to analytical skills, it is also a potent tool with an excellent report generator. Increases visibility into performance. It provides several chart kinds that are categorised based on the requirements. The best thing is that it generates an auto chart utilising multiple dimensions and measurements.
When an issue happens on the SQL side, I notice it, but I'd need additional information about it. Sometimes a single statement isn't enough to explain what's wrong with the SQL. The colours are terrible, and the graphs and other elements aren't as easy to use as Power BI or other tools. The only thing that may be enhanced is the graphical tools; otherwise, it is wonderful and works well.

I've been using Domo for almost 3 months working as a developer and so far I'm really enjoying using the software. Easy to navigate with many options available to work with.
ETL is the best tool I've worked with comparing to other BI tools. Very easy to navigate around and gives unlimited options for data manipulation.
Long processing time for bigger dashboard. When creating big reports it takes a lot of time for the dashboard to load properly. YoY charts can only be created as histograms, would be good to see other types of YoY charts

Overall Domo provided all the functions needed out of our BI software and allowed for the connections needed and provided excellent customer service when needed.
Domo provides all of the essential functions of other products including data connectors, data visualization, data ingestion and exports, as well as dashboard creation. Domo does have a learning curve to learn the difference in how the back end functions are different, but anyone with previous experience should be able to pick it up.
At times Domo can be slower than other products, and does sometimes crash when ingesting large amounts of data. We also used a browser based UI which could cause trouble if their were browser issues, etc.

Good company with a good product. They are one of the earliest leaders in the BI space. If you are having a hard time managing your company, then this could be an answer.
By far the best feature is the ability to take lots of crazy, boring data and making it tell a visual story. A picture tells a thousand words.
We ran into some problems with a few of the data sources we tried to connect to. The Domo help team was great, but it wasn't easy.

It's been really easy to share dashboards and manage access, and the chat feature is handy.
I am a consumer of Domo visualizations, and also have built quite a few of them. My previous experience was with Tableau, but I was able to step into Domo fairly easily. They have good documentation, and I was able to figure out how to present data the way I wanted without too much headache. I really like Domo's tools for arranging a dashboard.
The average user is not going to be able to create their own visualizations. I think this is pretty typical of BI software - it's almost always going to be fairly complex

Clunky user interface (UI) and esoteric commands. Long learning curve, especially for new analysts/users.
Domo isn't aimed at newcomers to business intelligence. But for companies with some BI experience on staff, it's a powerful tool with loads of data connectors and decent data visualization capabilities, too.

I use DOMO everyday and believe in the power it has to communicate actionable metrics. Wouldn't want to do business without it.
Once DOMO cards are setup, DOMO is the fastest way to get virtually real time data to drive smart decision making. DOMO has the ability to be as simple or complex as the organization wants the data to be when presented. DOMO eliminates our excuse that managers don't have access to data to do their jobs. The range of data that can be accessed is incredible. Our ERP software, sales database and spreadsheets are all available. All aspects our organization have visual representation in DOMO that team members can see on workstations, video monitors or by email alerts. Portability on devices is also great.
Cost...of course. Small organizations may have a difficult time justifying the cost.

Very good experience that brings a lot of value to the users. Users can be anyone from CEO and SLT teams to managers and production floor and Quality control.
The ability to get data easily from many different sources and to use data flows and SQL to adapt the data sources to effectively power cards. The card types, design and filtering and beast modes all make the result very user friendly. Dash boards and page filters add even more power for the users.
I don't really use the social communication aspects that are baked in. So therefore I don't care much about them.

Please do not use Domo.
Customer support does answer questions when you email them. If you put in enough effort, you can make clear cards for various stakeholders.
It's impossible to use. You can't query anything, to solve this they built a product called "beastmode" which is difficult to use. I've used tons of BI tools over the years, Periscope easily being the best. And Domo easily being the worst.

Domo enables as to give a live 360 degree view on our business and makes data accessible and visible to everyone in the company. It’s not just about visualization of KPIs and other data. You can take the data and turn it into actionable steps. Furthermore, the existing integrations that are available makes it easy to have all our data available in Domo and combine them. You can still see the start-up mentality and the new features and the speed that they deliver new features and product improvements is amazing. For us Domo is so much more than just about data - we have it part of our product development process and have a lot of operational processes built on data transformations that we built in Domo.
DOMO is very costly compared to other BI tools, especially when you want to have separate user accounts for each user and do not share accounts among users. Other than that Domo worked already most of the cons that I had in the beginning.

Data drives a business, bottom line.
Domo helped us move away from manually compiling reports from various sources and made it a one point solution.

PowerBI is a top-notch BI dashboarding tool that holds its own against Tableau, Domo, and other competitors. It builds off of existing, but hard to find, functionality in Excel and SQL Analysis Services to provide a robust data visualization tool. It also integrates nicely with Office 365 and makes it simple to capture and export data to Excel. I've used it extensively simply to combine and summarize data and give other business users access to it. Finally, it is priced extremely competitively, with a great deal of its functionality available for free if you don't require collaboration.
It is at its heart a dashboarding tool, and if you need to explore data, it may not be the right fit. Also, it relies on its own scripting for data selection and transformation, when a syntax like SQL or even Excel-like functions would be easier to understand.

Microsoft Power BI appears to sit marginally in the center of the street as an information accumulation and perception apparatus. It has the look and feel of an old instrument that ought to be dominated at this point, yet its yield doesn't appear to coordinate with that. Our group needed to continually fix mistakes and bugs, which isn't the thing you are searching for from an apparatus coming from Microsoft. On the opposite side, it isn't as easy to use or pretty as an instrument like Domo. It fairly lies in the center of both usefulness and client experience.
I have utilized [Microsoft] Power BI Desktop with the Power BI Service on the cloud as a part of IT answers for organizations. The fundamental utilization of [Microsoft] Power BI is to make reports and offer them on the web for installing in sites and applications. The further developed employments of [Microsoft] Power BI, as examination, for instance, are less needed by organizations.
Microsoft's help is standard, and commonly the troubles that emerge when utilizing Power BI compare to overseeing Azure. As to utilization of Power BI to do reports and investigation, the help of Microsoft is normal; however, the Power BI Users Community is dynamic and habitually distributes manuals and instructional exercises on YouTube, with which essentially all questions in regards to the fundamental and moderate utilization of the apparatus can be settled.
