Pros

I have used it for a few years now and it has been useful for each company I have worked with. It is great at giving free information on your company and website.
I believe it is a great asset for any business. Once setup it is extremely easy to use and gives valuable insights to improve and thrive your business.
I love that you can earn a certificate to better understand how to use the application. I love that for small businesses that there is little to no cost.

Pros

They constantly improve the product and come up with amazing new features. SEMrush has become an important tool for marketing initiatives.
It includes a site health grade, all the Errors/Warnings, and gives ideas on how to make improvements on the site. I also love love love the automated reporting.
SEMRush is a great easy to use tool that is very user friendly. It’s multi purpose and has some fantastic functionalities that we use across SEO, content, PPC, Socials.

Cons

Some reps seem to be less knowledgeable than you are. Some seem to completely misunderstand your questions and then fail to reinterpret.
In a way I see it as a problem are identifier that is incapable of identifying the problem itself.
In addition my biggest frustration is the correspondence (or lack there of ) between GA and Search console.

Cons

Everything has been a frustrating struggle. Many features that are included with the starter level of other online SEO platforms cost extra with SEMrush.
SEMRush has been horrible to learn and work with. Nothing is intuitive or user-friendly.
It's sad that I would have to pay almost half of my subscription price just to have a second user be able to access our account.

If you have a website you can't even imagine you go online without Analytics active.

Pros

Once installed the pixel, Analytics is pretty easy to use. It gives you a lot of details about how your users interact with your website. Anyway I would recommend to install GA through G Tag Manager for more accurate statistics.

Cons

Honestly I am not very happy with the last version GA4 because Google hasn't realized the API yet and this kind of annoying when you use 3rd party SEO tools such as SEMRush.

Amazing Product Yet accessing it can be bothersome

Excellent have rarely had issues and although the google customer support team is a little below average, they can help you with almost any request and they're very prompt.

Pros

Love this software as a part-time SEO/Project Manager this is a must-have when it comes down to decision making. The information it provides can pivot the whole ad campaign in a whole new direction and the importance and use of keywords with its keyword analyzer tool is just bliss to have. I really like this product but I do feel some features should be "free to use" or at least have a shortcut since it's a bother to have to open my business account whenever I need to make a minor tweak or confirm a last-minute change.

Cons

It could be a lot more simple it's honestly a little clunky and other programs such as SEMRush that have more added value end up being an overall better product. I honestly expect more from google. But as an affordable option, there aren't two.

Overall it's an indispensable tool for our company and very powerful.

Pros

Google Analytics is an obvious staple for anyone working in web development, especially in marketing. I use it weekly to monitor incoming traffic across various segments.

Cons

I don't like that google hides important traffic source data, like search queries. It makes it difficult to get a clear picture on where your traffic is coming from and which keywords are performing well. We had to use SEMRush to get that data.

If you don't have the money for a full-service product like MOZ or SEMrush, this is a good start. There are some tutorials to be found on the web if you can follow along but it's still a pretty complex product for people who arent familiar with web analytics.

Pros

There are a lot of different views and tracking options. It's also nice to have a free tool to use as well.

Cons

It is way too difficult to use for the new user. The support is horrible (as is anything with Google) and is based on forums with no actual support staff to speak to. The mobile app leaves much to be desired in terms of usability.

My overall experience with this tool has been Good, but it was quite difficult for me, in the beginning, to integrate analytics into the website, the task seemed a bit difficult, but after setting it up. I almost enjoyed watching and seeing my website analytics.

Pros

What I liked most about this software is that it is free. You don't have to pay a dime for analysis of your websites. Another thing is trust. People trust Google. This Software can be trusted blindly. It shows all the information like demographics, Users, Sessions, bounce rates, interest, geographical locations of visitors at one place and you can easily understand the performance of your website in...

Cons

One Con that I noticed about this tool is that you have to link webmaster tools with analytics and use them separately. It would have been better if Google could integrate Google Analytics and Webmaster tools together at one place and make only one single best tool for webmasters instead of keeping the things into pieces. Because of the separate tools webmasters have to buy paid tools like SEMrush or Ahref which shows everything at one place and under one platform. It would be better if Google could make their own tools for webmasters which would help them for ranking purposes.

Nice SEM tool to have

SEMrush is all rounder in terms of Search Engine Marketing tool. Interface is similar to Google Analytics and easy to use. They have rolled out couple of regular tool updates every year. Very helpful articles in Knowledge Base. They do have some advance SEO and PPC features but very limited in terms of data especially Backlink Audit. If someone from search marketing looking for one for all tool (SEO, PPC, Competition Analysis) then it's an good option. However, if someone looking for a special tool for a particular job such as Backlink analysis and acquisition then look for alternative tools.

Cons

Backlink Audit is not showing all the links Position Tracking a bit inaccurate Log files doesn't support .log format

It's been great. We get better data and support/recommendations for things that we couldn't get anywhere else.

Pros

The depth and breadth of tools available in one spot is unparalleled.

Cons

It doesn't have the cleanest or fanciest UI/UX. Connecting other tools like Google Analytics over and over for each tool in SEMRush is mildly annoying.

It's essential to my website and marketing campaigns. The data provided has given me the ability to make the necessary adjustments to make my website and blogs more visible.

Pros

SEMrush is a great tool for optimizing your website. It does everything from domain analysis, keyword research to providing link building tools. The data and analytics reporting is by far SEMRush's best feature.

Cons

Integrating with Google analytics can be a bit tricky. There's definitely a little bit of a learning curve but nothing the average person can't navigate through.

Number one question I get from clients all the time is "how am I doing?". SEMrush gives insight in one platform.

Pros

Used this software to complete deep dives in my clients' digital marketing presence. I loved the breakdown of their website and keyword structure compared to their business competitors.

Cons

Sometimes the data would not translate across the Google Analytics I had access to on the backend. Not sure if this was a data delay but I did find some discrepancies.

I used SEMRush for market research it helps me a lot to understand the user behavior, combining it with Google Analytics. SEMRush has a lot of useful functions.

Cons

Is not a free tool. Is not connected with any drive or cloud. At least when I used it. I can't save the reports in my Google drive.

SEMrush is my favorite tool to check on my competitor's numbers that help me decide which or what path to take next.

Pros

I able to see all related numbers about my website and my competitors that I couldn't see in my Google Analytics. SEMrush able to identify where or what I should do to optimize my contents.

Cons

The overall functionality is superb but the pricing is high for my business. Well so far that is the only thing that I know that I don't like about this software.

Couldn't be successful without it

SEM RUsh allowed us to grow our SEO business with confidence! I checked out the competitor's and I chose SEM Rush because of the better analytics and functionality.

Pros

The software covers EVERY aspect of a successful SEO campaign. There is a bit of a learning curve when initially starting with the software- but the customer service team couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful!

Cons

The learning curve! You also have to set up certain properties in several different areas (you have to connect the google analytics and search console for every tool- not terrible but a little annoying when you have multiple accounts).

An SEO Must Have

I've found the organic research functionality of SEMrush to be particularly useful in establishing where a website stands and to identify areas for improvement. As an SEO specialist working on client websites, I've used SEMrush when doing competitor research and analyzing site and content structure. SEMrush shows you the top organic landing pages of your competitors and the keywords that bring traffic - this allows you to quickly audit a new client and get a game plan together for building out new or adding content to existing landing pages.

Pros

SEMrush is a must have for SEO agencies and internet marketers overall. The organic research section shows you very detailed data about you and your competitors - you can compare your keywords to theirs and get ideas about which keywords you're missing out on.

Cons

The tool is not perfectly exact - e.g. when viewing your own traffic and compare it to the actual traffic in Google Analytics, you would see discrepancies. This is because of the way that those estimates are generated - based on SERP rankings and not on actual Google Analytics data. Nonetheless, the graph is especially useful to catch trends for you and your competitors. Also, small-volume longtail keywords rarely show up in SEMrush and there are certain niches where most of the traffic is coming from such keywords and the tool isn't particularly useful.

I have been able to fix a large number of underlying SEO-related issues on our site while also learning more about opportunities to continue gaining progress. It's a great experience.

Pros

I love the fact that you can sync with Google Analytics & GSC so that it gives you insight not only based on their own index of your site and all sites on the internet, but it's based on the reality of your traffic and search exposure.

Cons

The AI can be a little misleading as you will sometimes think you have tons of issues with your site when many of them will be smaller and not a priority, but if you learn to prioritize you will find SEMRush very useful.

Overall, SEMRush is an extremely insightful tool that can surface the key metrics of a website's performance in search engines at a glance. It helps solve the problem of "why is traffic down this month?" by recording key events against traffic graphs, such as Google algorithm updates. With new tools being added and old ones updated constantly, I always find a new way to make use of the platform.

Pros

SEMRush is a must-have tool for Search Engine Optimisation. It offers a number of tools that help with everything from keyword research, right up to tracking the finer details, such as keyword rankings. In addition, it has features that help you slice-and-dice Google Analytics data.

Cons

It's clear that SEMRush is great for agencies or large corporations who wish to keep a watchful eye over their web properties, however, for a local business, SEMRush is costly. Regular design changes and feature changes to the platform can make it confusing to use, as it changes from one day to the next.

Unlike its competitors, Semrush is quite affordable and represents benefits for large and small online projects, even from the free version

Pros

SEMrush allows you to do complete searches of keywords, study the competition, find links easily to your website, indexing status, and many other things. Minimalist platform and understandable at first sight Real statistics, very accurate and that can be compared with other professional software such as Webmaster Tools or Google Analytics

Cons

Does not have direct connection to other similar tools to compare statistics and improve results Social metrics are weak and the Audit Tool can be better
