Pros

The best feature of monday.com is its ability to help you integrate your tasks into your calendar. The easy to use tool allows you to efficiently manage projects and meet deadlines.
Visually stunning and satisfying great tool helps in smooth management of our projects, ditching the need for any spreadsheets and manual tracking.
I really love a lot about Monday. It's clean, has a beautiful design, easy to use and just overall a great product.

Pros

Super easy to use, powerful features, ability to invite guests for FREE, Great technical support, lots of video tutorials available.
ClickUp has some truly inspired design and feels lighter and more fun to use than many other management tools. It's easy to learn and new, useful features are consistently rolled out.
Great experience with the product initially I was a bit hesitant to use and recommend it because I did not know about the product at all but once I started using it I fell in love with it.

Cons

The software spam your inbox with many unwanted mails. Unable to track project goals easily.
We eventually stopped using this software because the UI was very limited in it's features. Our team didn't really catch on, and we abandoned the software after a year.
Terrible with the customer service. We are now actively looking for a replacement.

Cons

Too complex for an individual's needs, sometimes illogical, and a terrible android app is the icing on the cake.
After a few months I still get confused about the sapce/folder/list/task hierarchy and use the wrong terms when describing my "location" in the software.
Sometimes had an error when trying to make a new list and could not find any documentation about the error online.

Not intuitive or smooth enough for me, especially as compared to ClickUp or Notion

Pros

Coloring should make it easy to visualize data and tasks

Cons

The colors are crazy - without very strict best practices things get out of hand fast It's hard to see what you need to do (as opposed to others) It's hard to understand progress at a quick glance I prefer to integrate knowledge management alongside project management which is not what monday is for

Pros

Having tried all of the "big 3", Monday is a clear winner. UX and UI are superb and flows very well. Integrations and user management is a big plus.

Cons

Nothing really, hard to put a finger on anything besides lacking some more functionalities that Clickup has.

Monday.com has an easy to use interface, and is straightforward for adding line items and closing out tasks. It did not have Kanban style like ClickUp, which we like better.

Cons

Monday.com seems limited in project tracking and in managing multiple employees.

Tried it for the free trial but ended up with another software

It was ok - I think we could've used this and been totally happy, but we ended up using the free version of Clickup for project management.

Pros

It looked super clean and was pretty easy to set up. It's essentially a fancy looking spreadsheet that can be customized for whatever you need.

Cons

I couldn't ever get the Monday forms to integrate quite the way I needed it to with the backend of the software. We handle a lot of incoming requests and wanted to use an integrated form. It wasn't as feature-rich as other programs we tried and the price was a bit higher as well.

Overall it could have solved the problem and met the need I was looking for to manage a large scale programme, however I found the setup to be too intense

Pros

Monday.com is a really robust software for tracking tasks and projects and offers a lot of versatility. I like that it has a pretty UI and is quite user friendly

Cons

Setting up is quite overwhelming. With tools that offer great flexibility they can also introduce a lot of chaos. This was what I found when trialing the software and ended up choosing another option (ClickUp)

Monday helped organize workflows better and gave a better idea of who is responsible for what.

Pros

Monday is not the most extraordinary tool for project management or collaboration, but its intuitive design and colorful interface does make it an interesting option. It is definitely better than Jira or ClickUp but not perfect

Cons

Sometimes too much functionality can increase the learning curve and that may happen with Monday for many users. If you understand its full functionality, its fun to use, but that's a big "if"

Support is responsive, however, no consistency as for one simple problem I had to email six different people.

Pros

Layout of project/task management is visually appealing. Importing tasks from an existing excel file was straight-forward and significantly reduces the time to get set up.

Cons

There is no reoccurring tasks capabilities which given the extremely high monthly price (minimum 3 users), you would expect it to have this feature. Clickup & Asana (both direct competitors) have this feature. There is also no single user plan which Monday.com forces start-ups/sole proprietors to pay for a minimum of 3 users per month at the basic plan rate of $11/user.

Ok product, probably better alternatives out there for an R&D team. Might feel better for other uses

Monday aims to appeal to everyone, including R&D. We found their product lacking in that aspect, with a lot of features locked behind upsell walls, and others straight-out missing (subtasks, burndown chart and just two that come to mind). Maybe it would be more appealing to other industries, but for an R&D group I'd consider other alternatives first (Asana, ClickUp, JIRA etc.)

Pros

It's very easy to onboard and use, unlike the giants that are JIRA or VSO, Monday is very easy to learn as well as customize to your needs. Their Timeline feature is the best thing they did. I hope they bring it more front & center. We base most of our workflow around it.

Cons

They lack basic features that other products had for ages - subtasks for example. Their pricing is not very competitive, and doesn't make a lot of sense - it comes in brackets/buckets - so whether you have 26 or 50 users, you pay the same price. And even then, the price per seat is high. In addition, they have a lot of small bugs that come from time to time in the UI, which makes it annoying to use. Their support wasn't a lot of help either when we talked to our of their customer success people.

It's helping me start a small busines CRM and track projects.

Pros

ClickUp has all the features of other project management software and has a great free version- can't beat it. You can easily create the same system you have on monday.com on clickup and not pay anything.

Cons

There's a bit more of a learning curve to use it than say, monday.com.

Project Management That Focuses On YOUR To-Do List Too!

Switching from Monday.com was a breeze. We were comfortable on ClickUp in only a few weeks. We're getting more out of the software than we ever did with Monday.com

Pros

We've used other project management software before. The problem with other software is that it never made it easy for the individual to prioritize their day/week. ClickUp organizes the project and the person!

Cons

One feature I've requested is to see all recorded videos on one screen/section to make it easier to manage those. It would also be nice if those had cleaner URLs for sharing outside ClickUp. The "savable complex boolean filters for any object type" is feature would also be a huge help for our workflow (https://clickup.canny.io/feature-requests/p/filter-for-both-andor-filters-at-the-same-time)

A big improvement from Gqueues which I was using previously. Not as good looking as Monday.com but Monday.com was such a resource hog it slowed down my entire PC. I am looking forward to the new tools in the new release.

Pros

It allows you the freedom to structure your to-do lists and projects in a way that suits you - you don't have to use all the available tools for it to work, it can be as simple or detailed as you like.

Cons

There are some features absent which I would consider vital to being able to make the most of the software (especially filtering options). I have been assured these will be improved in the next version of ClickUp.

Getting the hang of it finally

Overall Clickup has been good and I will continue to use it and find out how I use it best.

Pros

clikc up is a solution for Monday.com. It does a good job of adding more features to the basic program management software.

Cons

Clickup was a bit tough to see how I could use it best. As with other softwares it takes some getting used to.
