Thank you for the review Luis. You have a lot of valid points, but I'm not sure what you mean by "When using the second monitor option, main monitor screen refreshes too late when changing a slide, causing confusion to the user". The live view of the 2nd screen on the primary screen should be instant and real-time. Isn't that the case on your computer?

Hi Kamal, I'm not really sure that I understand what you mean by customisation being a con. Care to elaborate?

I and my wife help lead worship at our church.  I started using this software six years ago for our Contemporary service on Sunday afternoons.  We have expanded using it during Covid lockdown and after for our morning Traditional service since we could not use hymnals or printed bulletins when Covid first hit our area, so we projected the readings, prayers, and announcements on a video screen instead which was safer for everybody.   At first, the older generation was not a big fan of changing how the traditional service was done but after a while, they accepted it and even look forward to it as we can show wonderful religious graphics which enhances the service and understanding of what is being preached and taught.  We also now use it during Bible Study groups.  We also live-stream our church service so now that the bulletin is projected the people at home can watch and follow along as the words are on the screen.  The morning service is also recorded, submitted, and shown on our local Public Broadcasting TV channel.  Slidedog is a valuable tool for Ministry.

Thank you so much for your detailed review and comments, Joe! I'm going to investigate the one hundred slides per PowerPoint limitation. That sounds more of an unintentional limit than a deliberate one. Cool workaround you found, nonetheless. It would be interesting to know what live streaming solution you are using together with SlideDog. Maybe it's something we can recommend to our other users as well?

Being able to view what's "up next" is definitely something that should be implemented in SlideDog. Dynamically adding more files without restarting the playlist is also a feature that would be very handy for events. I've noted down your comments and I'm going to include them when we discuss our development roadmap after this summer.

We play music videos for sing-along, show pictures with Bible verses or people, and run PowerPoint presentations illustrating or emphasizing points in our Bible teachings.  These are shown on a big-screen TV which is shared on FreeConferenceCall for those who cannot attend in person.

Solves Presenting Multiple PPT files

Thank you for the review, John, Glad the SlideDog software has been working well for you. As long as there's no native player for Keynote on Windows, we won't be able to support it, unfortunately. 

The customer service is EXCELLENT. When one feature was not working as expected, I submitted a help ticket. The developer communicated quickly and effectively, found the bug, and issued the software update within days. As of this writing (1/22/21), this product has someone actively maintaining it and providing the best customer service I could ask for.

A simple utility that works. I usually subscribe for a month that I need it and then cancel the subscrition for when I don't need it.

While I thought it was a great product, it does have its limitations for church presentations. I would definitely use it again if I needed to purchase an ad hoc product.

Mike:                                                  Hey, my name's Mike. I am the director of Children's and Family Ministries at a church here in California and we have probably about eight to 900 people here. I have probably about 20 employees and it's great place to work and we use SlideDog all the time, so I give this SlideDog about a five star rating.
                                                       I was shopping around, we were using PowerPoint before and it was kind of clunky in it's movement and it's uploading. I did some research for free slideshow software and SlideDog came across and I started using it and the integration with everything was pretty spot on for what we needed. Once I realized that I can start to control my PowerPoint using my phone and the web controller and then casting it, sometimes we do that with the kids and it is pretty good. We were using PowerPoint, some people here use ProPresenter. I find that to be a little too aggressive for what I need, and SlideDog is smooth for everything that we use here at the church.
                                                       We used it A, because it was free and the functions that we had that were free at the time, probably about three or four years ago, it met everything we needed here in Kids' Church and with other things in the church, and because of that, we stuck with SlideDog. I was able to share some things, I was able to upload, used YouTube videos, and quickly get in and out of the software to change the slide order. After I went into the pro version and I was able to dual screen it out and I can utilize my computer and have the slide show running at the same time, just completely made it... Gave it icing on the cake, if you will.
                                                       SlideDog was super easy. It was drag and drop, which is what I love. It was essentially plug and play into the computer and into the projector. Everything worked perfect. I was able to train my seventh grade volunteers and my sixth grade volunteers on how to create a slideshow within five to 10 minutes, they got it. It was very intuitive with how to build a slideshow and how to move the slides back and forth, and all of the different formats that the SlideDog could read and how it read. They were able to pick up on that tech and therefore I was able to pass that baton and building slideshows off to my younger volunteers at church, which is perfect because it takes a load off of me.
                                                       For anybody that's considering SlideDog, I highly recommend it. The ease of use, the ease of drag and drop, the ease of finding YouTube connections and/or other web connections that just drop right into the show. If you're leaning towards anything else, this is a perfect software for your slideshow presentation and/or movie presentation. If you're in the middle of using it, I would definitely push you to the pro version. I'm telling you that web remote and that casting ability is spot on and the ability to do your dual screen and have it up and being able to produce behind the screen and still work on your computer while the presentation is going on is just spot on for what I love to use.
