Pros
Our church loves this software when it comes to using for praise and worship. Musicians and singers have so many tools to help them during praise and worship.

Being able to search for Bible verses and songs and get them onto the screen quickly is amazing. It's software built specifically for presentations and it's simply wonderful.

First, this is a rare gem to have a one-time payment software. It's an investment, but you don't have to commit to monthly or yearly payments, which is very nice.

Cons
The program did “crash” often and some of my files would get lost - not sure if this was a part of a bigger problem with the program but it did happen often.

This software is full of problems, clutches, and inconsistencies that make my job as a tech director nerve wracking at best, and infuriating at its worst.

The most frustrating think about ProPresenter is that it can be unreliable.

Powerful resource for multimedia worship

Reviewed 3 years ago

We were able to expedite the service preparation process incredibly with the media integration available through ProPresenter.

Pros

I love the integration of various media types and source material platforms. The SongSelect integration is by far the most useful feature for a church that relies on SongSelect for lyrics etc. Also, the multi-user features coupled with cloud sync make team collaboration so much more efficient.

Cons

The biggest issue we had was with releases/support for PC lagging so far behind Mac. Not investing in Mac hardware puts the church at a disadvantage with this software. I don't expect that to change, and it may not need to for the company to be successful, but it makes you ask if it's really better to support PC use if the support is inferior. Additionally, having cloud sync as an 'extra' rather than built into the payment model seems a bit backwards - but for a software that is bought for a larger one-time fee rather than monthly/annual subscription, it makes sense as bandwidth is not free for anyone.

Great Product for Church Worship Services

Reviewed a month ago
Pros

Ease of use. Organizational templates. Custom usage.

Cons

It doesn’t currently have the ability to read the new iPhone picture format. This can be frustrating when you are wanting to drop a quick picture in to show the congregation.

Outdated Version That Couldn't Compete with Newer Options

Reviewed 11 days ago

My overall experience with ProPresenter was that it was an outdated version of the software that did not allow me to work on the program remotely. It was slow and failed on us often. I do not recommend.

Pros

ProPresenter is arguably the industry standard for presenting media and content onto screens for churches. For that reason, it does everything you need and does it well. It accesses information from SongSelect and presents it onto the screens for the purpose of reading and singing along.

Cons

Our version of ProPresenter had no Team abilities or off-site abilities. To add content, we had to be on location, which made it a huge inconvenience to use. When we looked to upgrade, the price of ProPresenter was much higher than Proclaim and really didn't offer much more for the money. Additionally, the software often quit and failed.

Presents your services with ease

Reviewed 3 months ago

Without the great video tutorials, it would be a challenge to get started with this software, but that's why there are tutorials! Once you have the basics of this software, you are ready to go. There is a little training to understand how things work for anyone running the system. We transitioned from a different presentation software to this one and hands down are so happy with our choice to move to ProPresenter! The pricing is reasonable for even the smallest of facilities, the creation of libraries will save you time as you build them out and it is super easy to insert these pieces into your service "playlist".

Pros

The layout and design to build a service is laid out nicely. The BEST part of this product is the building of libraries and how easy it is to build a service or presentation from your libraries, even quick additions while live!

Cons

A few times while creating a playlist, we will find something added was not there when we started up the playlist later. We have still not solved this mystery but just have a note to always double-check for all presentations to be in the playlist!

A professional, consistent look for in-person and livestream services

Reviewed a month ago

I'd recommend this to everyone as the industry standard for presentations. There's some work to be done on the front end with customization and formatting, but once that initial work is put in, the rest of it rolls along nicely.

Pros

I really love the versatility of this product. We've used ProPresenter since it was in its fourth revision, and we now use ProPresenter7. I can plan out presentations weeks in advance if I have them figured out, and we can add multiple playlists for pre- and post-service music in as many categories as we'd like. The ease of importing songs is aided by the link to SongSelect, and that really speeds things along when adding anything new.

Cons

Using ProPresenter 4, 5, and 6 were helpful in at least having a baseline of knowledge of how the program works. However, there were so many changes to ProP7 (all of them good) that it took a little relearning to be able to use and format basic things. Part of this was the way we were using it—going from in-person services only to in-person and livestream—so the setup was naturally a lot different. The learning curve from 6 to 7 was a bit steeper for me because the updated design shuffled a lot of features around and renamed them. This was at the same time we began using the different lyric and sermon formatting for livestreaming, so that's probably on me, rather than ProP, but now that I have the hang of it again, we're good.
