Booklink is an online booking system built for South African service businesses: salons, barbers, spas, clinics, physios, studios, coaches, tutors and anyone who works by appointment. It replaces the WhatsApp back and forth of "are you free on Thursday" with a booking page that clients use themselves, and it collects the deposit before the slot is confirmed.

Clients book from one link. Share it on Instagram, WhatsApp or Google Business, or embed the booking page on your own website. They choose a service, pick a team member or let Booklink assign one based on live availability, select a time and confirm. The page carries your logo, tagline, brand colours, fonts and contact details, works on any phone and needs no app download. Services are organised by category, can have variants such as short or long hair, and can be combined so a client books a facial and a massage in one go.

Deposits are the no show cure. Connect Yoco, Paystack, PayFast or iKhokha and require a deposit or full payment at the moment of booking. Money settles in rand into your own bank account and Booklink takes zero commission on bookings. Clients who have not paid are flagged, and unpaid bookings expire automatically so the slot is released. Session packages let you sell bundles of sessions upfront and redeem them booking by booking.

Reminders go out automatically. Booklink sends email confirmations, cancellations and up to three configurable email reminders, plus WhatsApp reminders before each appointment. Every message sent is logged against the booking so you can see exactly what the client received and when. Clients can cancel or reschedule from the message, and cancellation reasons are captured for reporting.

Scheduling is flexible enough for real businesses. Each team member has their own working hours, multiple availability windows per day, buffer times, blockouts and public holidays, with a booking window that limits how far ahead clients can book. Rooms and resources such as treatment rooms or chairs are assigned per booking so two people never end up in the same room. Classes and group sessions take multiple clients with a capacity limit. Google Calendar syncs both ways so personal appointments block time in Booklink and bookings appear in Google, and Google Meet links are generated for online appointments.

The operator side is built for the front desk. A Today view shows the day's bookings, this week's and this month's revenue, deposits at risk and bookings awaiting confirmation. The calendar shows the whole team by day or week with rooms and payment status on every booking. Client records keep contact details, notes and full booking history. Team permissions separate Owner, Front desk and Staff so each person sees only what they need. Booking instructions and custom questions per service collect what you need before the client arrives.

Reports cover daily and monthly takings and bookings per team member, and commission tracking calculates what each stylist or therapist is owed with payout history. Webhooks push booking events to your own tools, and the Rebill integration turns bookings into SARS compliant invoices automatically.

Data is encrypted with AES 256, hosted on Google Cloud, and Booklink is POPIA ready. Support is by email and in app chat from the South African team that builds it.

Pricing is flat and simple. The Free plan has no time limit and no credit card: one service, one team member, 30 bookings a month, your branded booking page, website embed, email notifications and client management. Pro is R79 a month for unlimited services and bookings, up to five team members, online payments, WhatsApp reminders, Google Calendar and Meet, multi service bookings, classes, packages, reports, webhooks, storefront branding and no Booklink branding.
