Pros

I personally like the ease of setting up events and registration pages, clean data capturing in reporting, and the ability to push those reports to a shared company-wide portal.
You can make your registration event pages quite robust with information- that is probably the best PRO of the software. It is also great that it is Cloud-based like all software should be these days.
Flex is a great addition to the product - super easy to use and aesthetically pleasing.

Pros

This has been a useful tool for networking virtually. As an exhibitor we've had good attendance to our virtual booths and good lead generation.
I would readily recommend this app for any group event for the ease of use and the ability to create better interaction with attendees and organizers.
It was actually a very positive experience. The software worked great and we were able to accomplish more than I thought we would utilizing the virtual conferencing.

Cons

If you use the legacy system, not only are you wasting your time learning a system that will be eliminated, but your events will disappear after the change as they can't be transferred.
Poor communications with management, no intentions to resolve customer concerns or address complaints.
Limited capabilities in e-marketing (no A/B testing, no series/time-based emails, no way for subscribers to change frequency of emails - you're either subscribed or opted out).

Cons

The only thing I can say disappointing about this software is that I was not exposed to it first.
I'll be really disappointed if the next conference I attend - virtual or in real time - does not use it.
There have been other virtual neuroscience meetings that have not worked well and as the president of our Flux society, I was nervous.

I didn't hate using Whova but I don't think it would be my pick for event management in the future

Pros

We selected Whova because we liked the idea of having an app where participants could create their own gatherings at our event. That feature seems unique to Whova and it was great.

Cons

There is little ability to customize the app which is a big downside to my team. The customer service also wasn't very good.

one of the best event management systems I've used. excellent quality of product, virtual events were well led. Response was fantastic.

WHOVA - from a user perspective

As an attendee, I did not select WHOVA as the management tool, but I'm very impressed with it from a user perspective. I help coordinate several conferences and I'll be suggesting looking at WHOVA as a tool for us.

Pros

I recently attended a multi-day event that used WHOVA as the management system. I was very impressed with the detail - the event schedule, presenter information, and the ability to have the session materials as part of the APP.

Cons

I really can't think of anything that I did not like.

My experience with the Whova App

I am excited and happy for the opportunity to have used this app. It is such a relief concerning event planning and management.

Pros

Whova offers opportunities for planning and networking. In the 2024 TBT symposium, I was able to create my schedule from the main agenda and included networking opportunities with other participants based on where we studied and worked. I had a plan of which session I needed to attend and the room numbers where I needed to be. I am also happy with the possibility of taking notes under each session in the agenda.

Cons

I realized that I had many emails from using the app.

Cons

It's more expensive that other products on the market but it does offer almost every feature you could hope for. If it's in your budget you should absolutely go for it.

Overall, it serves the purpose and is better than some other event management apps that I've used. That said, there certainly can be some improvements

I used this software a couple of times while attending conferences and I really enjoyed the functionality and integration of scheduling, planning, and live communication amongst other attendees of the conference

Cons

The user interface is a little convoluted and could use a fresh update to make it more clean and less cluttered.

Great App for events

First time user. Still need to be familiar with it. Overall good experience.

Pros

Great App for event management, see who is attending and connect. Like the fact that the agenda is there and questions can be submitted in advance.

Cons

Too much things at once to check on. Many groups can cause distractions.
