Automated scheduling supports time-based recurring maintenance on weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annual intervals. Usage-based triggers initiate service jobs when predefined thresholds for equipment hours, mileage or operational cycles are exceeded. The system assigns technicians based on skill sets and availability and supports multi-technician collaboration on complex jobs. Real-time job tracking captures detailed work logs including start and end times, tasks performed, parts consumed and GPS location data. On-job consumables tracking automates sales order and fulfillment creation to maintain accurate inventory levels. On-demand parts requisitions enable technicians to request missing components directly from the job interface, generating purchase orders for preferred vendors. Automated billing triggers invoice generation upon job completion, integrating service delivery with billing processes.
The Field Service Management mobile application extends functionality to field technicians using Android and iOS devices without additional NetSuite user licenses. Technicians can access job details, update status, log time, capture photographic evidence and manage service tasks in real time. The mobile interface synchronizes directly with NetSuite, ensuring that work logs, inventory consumption and GPS tracking data are immediately available to dispatchers and service managers for operational visibility and decision making. Visual management tools include a field service schedule map showing customer locations, maintenance dates and technician assignments as well as a centralized maintenance calendar offering a real-time view of ongoing and upcoming service activities.
