What is TeamHive?
TeamHive 360 is a research-validated software platform for diagnosing team effectiveness through the collection of quantitative and qualitative data from team members and stakeholders. The platform was developed in partnership with the University of Newcastle over a two-year research process and draws on two decades of industry expertise. It delivers comprehensive analysis of team functioning, dynamics and performance to support teams, organizational leaders, human resources professionals and coaches.
The platform applies the proprietary PLUS model framework to evaluate four dimensions that drive team performance. The Purpose dimension considers goal alignment, purpose-driven execution and stakeholder focus. The Learning dimension examines collective development practices, learning through challenge and peer-supported growth. The Unity dimension assesses constructive communication, psychological safety and team cohesion. The Shared Leadership dimension explores collective accountability, distributed leadership and integration of diverse perspectives. The full TeamHive 360 diagnostic collects responses through seventy-one questions, five questions on team effectiveness, one question on performance outcomes and three written feedback prompts. A condensed TeamHive 360 Pulse version uses a reduced question pool to provide a rapid assessment while reporting on the same metrics.
The platform includes HiveAI Coach, an artificial intelligence module that interprets diagnostic results and translates findings into actionable development plans. Privacy and data security are maintained by decoupling diagnostic data from organization and team identifiers. HiveAI Coach operates in two modes. The static mode delivers a predefined set of insights, discussion prompts, recommendations and resource links with the TeamHive 360 report. The interactive chat mode enables a coaching conversation informed by team-specific diagnostic data. The AI coach offers strategies for improvement, evidence-based observations, tailored team questions, further learning resources and interactive dialogue.
TeamHive 360 offers enterprise solutions that extend beyond standard subscriptions to include training for internal coaching, development program design and delivery, organizational development services in strategy and culture and leadership coaching initiatives. The platform is accessible through twelve-month subscriptions with provisions for one-off assessments by approved coaches. The system follows a repeatable methodology in three phases. Teams complete the validated diagnostic in under fifteen minutes. Results are mapped against the PLUS dimensions to generate insights. Development plans are then built around priority areas using AI-supported guidance to accelerate the transition from diagnosis to action.
