Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Unison overview
What is Unison?
Unison is volunteer management and scheduling software designed to remove the friction that prevents volunteers from signing up and showing up. Built for churches, schools, nonprofits, and community organizations, Unison replaces spreadsheets, reply-all emails, and overcomplicated VMS tools with one clean platform that coordinators and volunteers will actually use.
How signups work
Coordinators create volunteer signups by defining roles, adding time slots, and setting slot quantities. Each signup gets a unique URL that can be shared via email, text, or QR code. On the Team plan, all of an organization's signups are housed under a single directory page with a custom URL — giving volunteers one place to browse every open opportunity without needing a new invitation each time. Volunteers can sign up from any device without creating an account, reducing drop-off at the critical moment of commitment.
Communication and reminders
Unison includes a built-in emailer for direct communication with volunteers. Coordinators can send broadcast messages to all volunteers, a specific custom group, or only the people signed up for a particular shift. Email attachments let you include waivers, parking instructions, or training documents directly in outbound messages. Automatic email and SMS text reminders are sent before each shift based on coordinator-defined timing — set once and handled automatically, with no manual follow-up required.
Scheduling and coordination tools
Drag-and-drop editing makes it easy to adjust schedules as plans change. Repeating assignments automatically populate recurring roles going forward, saving coordinators significant setup time for weekly or ongoing programs. When a volunteer can't make a shift, built-in sub request tools let them find their own replacement — the system handles the outreach and confirmation without coordinator involvement. Custom groups allow coordinators to segment volunteers by role, location, or program for targeted communication and scheduling.
Signup questions and custom fields
Coordinators can add custom questions to any signup, collecting role-specific information from volunteers at the point of sign up — eliminating back-and-forth before the event. Custom themes and branding keep every volunteer-facing page consistent with your organization's identity.
Reporting and visibility
Unison's dashboard gives coordinators a real-time view of upcoming signups, confirmed volunteers, and open slots. Built-in hours reporting tracks volunteer participation over time, making it straightforward to report program impact to stakeholders, recognize top contributors, and identify gaps in coverage before they become problems.
Pricing and plans
Unison offers a free tier for organizations getting started, with paid plans from $20/month. The Team plan at $44/month unlocks unlimited signups, repeating assignments, SMS reminders, directory pages, custom URLs, and QR codes. All paid plans are completely ad-free — volunteers see a clean, professional experience every time.
