Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Aplas overview
What is Aplas?
Aplas is a flexible platform for sharing software asset metadata with a workforce. It can extract information from other metadata repositories (e.g. source control, service management or enterprise architecture tools) and store it in an Aplas “software index”. From here, a software map (unique capability within Aplas) can be generated, allowing anyone to understand your organization’s software landscape.
The end goal of Aplas is to enhance your workforce's knowledge of your software landscape - empowering developers, testers, analysts, architects and management to make better decisions with software. To fulfil the needs of such a broad range of audiences, varied Aplas “publication interfaces” can be shared. Each interface presents your metadata differently and is always in sync with your software index.
Storing telling is an important use case with Aplas. This is made possible with map styles, a flexible system for controlling how a map is rendered to screen. The end result could present application costs in 3d or light up the impacts of a major transformation. Aplas comes with a library of pre-packaged style templates, or styles can be built from the ground up to visualize your data in real time.
Key benefits of using Aplas
- Empower an architecture-aware technology organization
- Build consensus through the storytelling capability of map styles
- Synchronize with other metadata systems to harmonize metadata
