Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Appsmith overview
What is Appsmith?
Appsmith is an open source low code application development platform that enables technical teams to build custom internal tools, operational dashboards and business applications with reduced development complexity and shorter delivery cycles. The platform operates under the Apache two point zero license for its Community Edition, which offers transparency and full access to source code for self hosted deployments. Appsmith is adopted by enterprises and startups that require rapid creation of applications for customer support workflows, IT management systems and integrations with existing SaaS platforms.
The platform provides a unified development environment with capabilities for data integration, visual interface assembly, code level customization and automated deployment workflows. It supports connectivity to relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB as well as NoSQL stores including Redis and Elasticsearch. Appsmith also integrates with REST and GraphQL APIs and with large language models through configurable authentication mechanisms such as OAuth two and API keys. The visual editor features a drag and drop widget system with pre built components for tables, forms, charts, buttons and text elements that can be organized into responsive layouts. Developers can extend the interface with custom widgets built in JavaScript, HTML and CSS or generate initial code through natural language prompts using the built in copilot functionality.
A centralized integrated development environment offers code management tools with support for auto complete, multi line editing, debugging and linting to facilitate creation of reusable code blocks and centralized business logic. Query builder tools simplify construction of database queries while server side scripting enables execution of complex logic within application flows. Event based triggers and scheduled tasks allow for automation of workflows and real time data updates. Integration with Git repositories supports environment branch designation for development, staging and production, pull request reviews and integration with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines that deploy merged changes automatically.
Enterprise features include role based access controls with customizable roles, groups and permissions, single sign on integration via SAML and Open ID Connect, and SCIM based user provisioning for synchronizing identity provider records. The platform maintains compliance with SOC two Type two security standards and employs encryption for data at rest and in transit. Deployment options include cloud hosting on the provider infrastructure or self hosting using container orchestration tools and air gap configurations for isolated networks. Audit logs capture user activities and usage patterns to support governance and compliance. A library of templates for common use cases such as admin panels, customer relationship management systems and inventory tracking can be adapted to specific requirements.
