They have great customer support, online how to videos, and it's easy to use.

The only thing that I don't like is Nearpod own Flocabualry yet you have to pay for it as an add on if you want to be able to use more than 3 of their videos. This was a disappointing to learn.

Because of this, it can be frustrating to go from one tool to another to create a lesson and then formative assessment for students.

Nearpod is engaging and useful in the classroom during lessons or can be assigned easily as homework. It links to many different learning platforms and is easy to navigate.

Overall, it has done what I needed and allows me to control a presentation or push out some fun interactive elements to help keep students on their toes and assess quickly and efficiently.

Overall, the interactive nature of Nearpod makes lessons engaging and fun for the pupils. The teacher is able to receive and give instant feedback to their students.

I used Nearpod during virtual learning and, while it was helpful and so easy to set up presentations, I wasn’t able to do as much as I would have like due to lack of storage.

Nearpod makes information engaging for students and adults alike. It makes delivering content much more efficient and rewarding for the participants.

This is great for virtual learning. Students can see all notes and have quick check for understandings and the teacher can easily give immediate feedback. The incorporation of questions during the videos makes it nice to keep students actively engaged.

Overall I would recommend Nearpod to people who do not want to have to reinvent the wheel when looking for ways to present new information to a class.  Great in a 1 to 1 or lecture style classroom.

Get Closer to Success with Nearpod

I use Nearpod for all kinds of things with my students - initial instruction, test review, practice with vocabulary, you name it. Sometimes we use it for fun things like class games. I even used it for a virtual baby shower once. It allows participants to respond in several different formats to different types of questions. 

Nearpod opened up the door to a style of presentation I had not thought of and will help enhance your information whether in education or the workplace.

I have recommended Nearpod to whoever is looking for a great tool to use in a classroom.  The basic account has limited storage, but the upgraded account will let me make plans for the entire school year.  I use this daily to create lessons for all my students and couldn't ask for a better tool.

                                                       So when our school district responded to COVID last year and we had students that were hybrid, virtual and in-person, we needed a resource that would allow our teachers to be able to teach in all of those capacities. As we researched and looked for resources, Nearpod was the solution that our district went with and we were very happy with the way it supported our teachers and supported our students, regardless of where they were learning last school year.
                                                       Nearpod provided a variety of activities and ways for teachers to be able to teach their content regardless of the grade level or content area. It allowed students to be able to interact with teachers to respond to questions with polls and posts and matching so that students could assess students' understanding in real-time and then respond to that during their teaching.
                                                       Nearpod was very efficient and easy when we were starting to roll out as a school district last year. So with Nearpod as a Google district, we were able to easily have single sign on for our students and our teachers. They also provided a variety of training materials and resources to prepare the instructional technology team so that we could make sure teachers were ready to implement the first week of school with their students.
                                                       I would highly recommend teachers in any sort of teaching position this year, whether you are a virtual teacher, you are a face-to-face teacher, or even hybrid this school year. It really provides an opportunity to connect with your students, to be able to engage with them during the learning process, and to really offer an opportunity for those formative assessment checks all throughout your lesson.

Engaging and Scaffolding curriculum!

Rachel:                                                My name is Rachel, I teach middle school humanities in the educational industry, and I would rate Nearpod a five. When considering other products, my school was thinking about all of the different Google for Education software. We were looking into Google Docs and Google Classroom, and we decided that Nearpod is way more interactive, all students are able to collaborate together at the same time or even not at the same time, and it was just things that was not really possible through the Google for Education apps. When considering why I chose Nearpod, there are a lot of reasons. First of all, and really most important, is I love that I was able to gauge all of my students and it really made them have to interact because there's so many prompts in Nearpod where they could take a poll, they can be quiz, they can draw a picture, and so rather than just giving my students a lecture, I'm able to make my lessons interactive. And I see that everyone's participating, I'm able to see that everyone's following along, and it really helps me understand better where my students are at.
                                                       Especially now that we're remote, I love that I'm able to give the exact same lessons, but my students can take these lessons anytime that they want, but it's still interactive. They can see what their peers are answering, and I'm still able to see all of their answers. One of my favorite things is that there's a lot of lessons already made and so I don't have to reinvent the wheel. I'm able to go online and see that there's so many lessons on specifically for history that I can either buy, and a lot of them are even free, so I already had my lessons made for me.
                                                       Integrating Nearpod was actually very easy for my new school. I introduced it to all of my staff and Nearpod even gives a free professional development lesson that allows teachers to participate just like they are the students to see just how engaging the lessons are, and it teaches them all of the different uses of Nearpod. So after doing that with my teachers, they saw how great it was. They went through it on the teacher side, and then they were able to go back and give it to their students afterwards. So it was overall very easy to integrate. My advice for anyone looking at Nearpod would be to go in and look at it yourself. You can make a free count and you can try out any lessons that you want, and even with the free account, you have access to other free lessons, and you can build your very own lessons. So I would recommend going in, making account, seeing it for yourself, and trying it out with your students, and you'll realize very quickly that it is just a game changer for all classrooms.
