“Also, by having the ability to have video without leaving the nearpod presentation, then I don't have students venturing to other sites as we are going over the material.”

Cons
“Another complaint is a few times a week, students have trouble getting the app to connect. Once students refresh, it usually fixes the issue. But having 30 students having trouble is never good.”

User opinions about Nearpod price and value

Value for money rating:

Of 26 reviews that provide robust commentary on Nearpod's price and value, mention it in a positive light.

Reviewers appreciate that Nearpod offers a free version with a good range of features, but they find many valuable functions and content libraries are only available in paid plans. Some users say the free version is limiting, especially regarding storage, important features, and audience size. Reviewers indicate that lower-tier paid plans restrict the number of active users, and accessing more advanced features or larger audiences requires higher-cost or custom plans. Some users report frustration with the price, describing Nearpod as expensive and not always accessible for smaller organizations or individuals.

Administrators can manually import lessons in various formats and customize them with polls, boards, quizzes, and matching pairs activities or use available lessons in the database to improve the learning experience. With the social learning module, instructors can conduct gamified lessons to improve competition and peer interactions. Nearpod integrates with Google applications and other several learning management systems such as Classroom, Slides, Drive, Canvas, itsLearning, Blackboard, and more. Teachers can also organize live or self-paced sessions, facilitate student participation through code verification, synchronize and control the content across devices, and evaluate students' responses during or after sessions through reports.
