What is Titanium?

Titanium encompasses all core functions required to manage life insurance policies, including new business processing and electronic applications, seamless integration with underwriting workflows, support for both new business and in-force policy illustrations, fully integrated underwriting rules, and lifecycle management covering issuance, endorsements, reinstatements, modifications and renewals. Including automated billing cycles, payment processing, premium calculations, policyholder communications, and a comprehensive claims workflow that ensures validation, adjudication, and payout processing. As well as agency and agent management, with assignment tracking, licensing, hierarchical structuring and commission processing.

Titanium enables insurers to create and modify insurance products dynamically with hundreds of chassis products to expedite implementation, allowing insurers to deploy pre-configured insurance products and streamline their onboarding process rapidly.

Built entirely in Java 21 to ensure optimal performance, enhanced security and long-term maintainability. Titanium utilizes Spring Boot for deployment along with Spring MVC for web services and API handling, Spring Data for simplified database interactions, Spring Security for robust authentication and authorization mechanisms, and Spring Cloud for distributed system management and cloud-native functionalities. This cohesive integration ensures high availability, resiliency and maintainability, reducing operational complexity while enhancing the development lifecycle.

Titanium leverages Redis for both caching and message brokering, ensuring high-performance caching for rapidly retrieving data while facilitating message brokering via Redis Pub/Sub for seamless asynchronous communication. This architecture significantly improves transaction processing speeds and system efficiency.

Titanium employs a relational database model using Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) to ensure strong data integrity, ACID compliance and scalability. MSSQL efficiently handles complex policy management, provides high availability and disaster recovery options, and ensures advanced security features.

Titanium is clustered using Kubernetes and managed with Helm, ensuring a highly available, scalable system. The cloud-native deployment model provides auto-scaling and high availability in any cloud provider's infrastructure. This architecture ensures that operations scale seamlessly while maintaining optimal system performance.

Titanium integrates with Grafana for comprehensive observability, utilizing Loki for log aggregation and real-time log monitoring, Tempo for distributed tracing, enabling detailed performance insights across services, and Mimir for metrics storage and real-time monitoring. Providing complete visibility into system performance, enabling proactive issue resolution and optimized resource allocation.

Titanium exposes 100% of its functionality via a RESTful web services API, allowing insurers to integrate seamlessly with third-party systems, partner networks and internal applications. The API provides operations for all policy and client data, real-time data access for policy servicing and analytics, and secure authentication and authorization to protect sensitive data. With a fully exposed API, insurers gain unparalleled flexibility in customizing their operations and integrating with other platforms.

Titanium supports configurable Single Sign-On (SSO) options, ensuring seamless authentication across enterprise environments. Supported protocols include SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) for identity federation with external authentication providers, Kerberos for secure, ticket-based authentication within enterprise networks, and LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) for centralized user management and access control. These options provide insurers with robust security mechanisms that align with their IT policies and compliance requirements.
