Pros

I love the app and gives me accounting on the go. Helps me track invoices and profits with ease.
The ease of use and reputation are by far the greatest part of this product. In addition to this, the range of potential integrations is fantastic.
Really easy to submit expenses, categorise them and check the progress of you submitted expense - super easy to do all from the app.

Pros

The technicians are pleasant and on call always and are very helpful and knowledgeable on the product.
Generally very good, I particularly like the tracking and reporting ability. Being able to compare my sales figures annually with previous years.
I like the clean interface of Reckon, and the ease of use. It did not take long to learn the program.

Cons

There are no delivery notes/packing slips. They tout a "workaround" but be warned, it's exactly 10 extra clicks so it's really not an option if you need this feature.
Our main complaint is that Xero stopped doing payroll in 2018, so now you have to pay an additional fee to a payroll processor such as Gusto.
Changing accounting software from Xero is a horrible experience. They make it very difficult to pivot to other software.

Cons

I really wanted Reckon one to shake up the market but all they did was shake up the user. I have been really disappointed with the performance (or lack of) with Reckon One.
For a small business with a few employees, this was just outrageous. After reviewing Reckon one, I found it would do all MYOB was doing for me at 11.00 a month.
I am yet to see anything I don't like about this product.

Accounting for small business

Xero is an all-in-one accounting software ideal for smaller business that needs reports on the fly and can't rely on a CPA on a monthly basis. At the most basic level, Xero allows users to create and send out invoices and reconcile bank feeds, ultimately creating P&L statements, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. It's relatively easy to learn although there is a steep learning curve.

The software is relatively ok but is let down by the fact that there is no delivery note / packing slip included. This has become a real bug bear for our organisation & Xero are not interested. There are better options & we will be switching....

This program is amazing. Invoicing, Payroll, sales, purchasing, inventory, banking, and so much more. This program does everything. I mainly use this program for purchase orders with our suppliers. This program is easily customization so you can put your own letterhead on it. You can have a variety of users on the program as well.

Cons

This program is extremely easy to use, we went through numerous programs to find this one. There is not one thing we don't like about this software. I would recommend it to everyone.

Xero has allowed us to get a real, detailed view on the financial situation within our company from one place. With a comprehensive setup, it can provide real value from day one.

Pros

Xero has transformed our financial management and provides us with all the real time data we could imagine, and where it lacks, integrations take over. While more "accountancy" friendly than some of the more simple products, once you work with your accountants to get this right, you won't regret it. The detail, features and holistic approach to managing company finances means that we are using this every day and with pleasure.

Cons

The interface is being updated, and it is needed as it is a little old fashioned in its design. That said, it is clean and clear and otherwise we love everything about Xero.

Cash reconciliation is able to complete large batches of transactions and line items Find and record is easy to use and very powerful

Cons

Removing/deleting of transactions and line items are difficult, imported by error and had to delete one by one Payments for accounts payables and accounts receivables cannot be cleared with cash account which makes write offs difficult

Organising our invoices and making notes on each one so that any team member can manage bad debt and chase outstanding invoices.

Pros

I love the simple layout. On the dashboard you can see clearly, outstanding invoices and overdue invoices. This is essential for our team to access these numbers quickly and clearly.

Cons

Help and support isn't easy to access and there is only one 'how to' video.

Xero has streamlined our operations, and simplified our record keeping, and notification of when bills are due for payment or invoices due for collection. The dashboard is fantastic for an overall picture. The reporting tools are excellent, and the ease of use is so logical and straightforward, that it's simple l to self-teach even for a beginner. On top of that when you have any questions the how-to guides are thorough in themselves, and support is excellent and very quick to come back to you with an in depth answer.

Pros

The ease of use is fantastic, and a beginner is able to self-teach quite easily with the fantastic guides and webinars that are available from Xero. The support is also exceptional and I have always had my queries answered in great detail and very quickly.

Cons

My main issue was that I would like to be able to create different delivery addresses on invoices that have one invoice address but different delivery locations, as it's important to specify. To workaround we write it in the body of the invoice, however with previous systems we have been able to enter multiple delivery addresses, for one invoice address and select the required one each time.

the "pay Superannuation" function makes my job easier. I fell more secure as it notify me each time when the bank account details changing in the system.

Pros

online base, no need to update or closing a Financial Year

Cons

the Bank account information for Supplier, it is very hard to check the information when the BSB number and Bank account fill combine together. May I suggest that, using two different BOX, one for BSB number and the other one for account number.

Easy-to-use all in one accounting software for managing my businesses. My accountant loves it!

Pros

Great intuitive User Interface! I was able to create my Xero account , connect by business bank account, and invite my accountant in less than an hour. Great alternative for startups or small businesses that don't want to pay almost double per month for Quickbooks.

Cons

I wish this software had templates for different industries that would allow me to use a standard Chart of Accounts. Without a background in accounting, it can be difficult to correctly categorize certain expenses.

Wide customizability and integrations make this one of the best accounting tools, especially for small businesses.

Pros

I'm not a heavy Xero user and have to mostly deal with it for establishing integrations for our clients who use Xero. Even with this minimal experience I see the capabilities of Xero, especially in term of integrating it with other software and services.

Cons

While the software is capable, it requires a lot of customization before you can start using it in your company. So I wish the customization process was a bit smoother and more beginner-friendly.

I used to love the bank reconciliation but they changed it and made it terrible with ugly fonts and large type it’s not functional and not user friendly and they won’t take feedback to change it back.

Cons

The bank reconciliation upgrade is terrible and the recent one to the contact manger is equally as bad.

Easy more user friendly processes with time saved as all documents can be saved in one place

Pros

From Purchase order to invoiced to billed in 3 steps. Brilliant easy payroll and upload to ATO. Reporting is a breeze even for a novice, ATO reporting and BAS is simplified.

Cons

Some of the template creation is a little rigid, but believe this is being addressed. Still building more upgrades so this hopefully will ensure some more fluent processes.

Pros

Ease of use, mobile friendly, the reporting structure, the costs, don't need a background in accounting to understand.

Cons

I wish I could bulk delete invoices rather than having to go into each one individually to void them.

Perfect for a small business

Pros

As a small business we don't need something as big as Quickbooks. Xero is perfect for us.

Cons

You sacrifice some of the features one would get with Quickbooks, but really that's not a problem for me.

Great product and service

I have used many programs over the years like MYOB, Xero, Sassu, cashflow manager and quickbooks etc but I find Reckon One easy to use, monthly fee is very affordable, flexible to what your business requires, their training is very infromative, great trainers and not over the top in price and their service is extremely good. They are constantly upgrading and introducing more add on programs, I wouldn't recommend any other program for my clients only Reckon One.
