What is Alma?
Alma is a comprehensive management software platform designed specifically for home care agencies operating in both service provider and mandatary modes. The platform unifies agency operations, field caregivers and client families through interconnected digital interfaces and addresses operational challenges faced by organizations of varying sizes from small teams to multi-agency networks. The software handles complex requirements of the home care sector, including caregiver scheduling, remote time management compliant with departmental council regulations, multi-funder invoicing and secure family portals. Developed by Twistup SAS in Toulouse, France, Alma combines decades of business software design experience with sector expertise sourced from agency directors involved in the project since inception.
The intelligent scheduling system identifies replacement caregivers in thirty seconds through proximity and skills-based suggestions and provides weekly, daily and individual planning views. Certified remote time management includes QR code and NFC check-ins at client homes with certified timestamps, GPS geolocation and offline mode synchronization that meets departmental council compliance standards. The mobile application offers a simplified interface with large buttons designed for caregivers of all ages and technical levels and functions without network connectivity. The family portal enables real-time intervention tracking, access to liaison notebooks and invoice downloads which reduces routine inquiry calls. The invoicing module eliminates manual data entry by integrating time tracking and final invoice generation with pre-configured formats for departmental councils, CPAM and pension funds. Compliance features include integration of the BAD collective agreement rules, automatic generation of DIPC and quotes, GDPR compliance, document management with expiration alerts and HDS-certified hosting for health data protection. Alma is accessed through three user interfaces: an agency management space for centralized planning, invoicing and oversight; a mobile caregiver application for schedule access, time tracking and care notes; and a family portal for real-time service monitoring and document access.
Alma integrates natively with key regulatory bodies and funding organizations essential to home care operations. The platform connects with departmental councils for management of APA and PCH flows, care plan transmission, format-compliant invoicing and CPOM reporting. Integrations with CPAM and mutual insurance support nOva transmission, CPAM invoicing, third-party payment processing and supplementary pension fund formats. CESU and URSSAF connectivity covers paper and pre-financed CESU, immediate tax credit advances, URSSAF declarations and tax certificates. Payroll and accounting integrations include DSN export, payroll software connectors, accounting entries and integration of the BAD collective agreement rules covering time modulation. Alma’s current scope does not include SSIAD nursing care services, teleassistance or meal delivery services but potential additions are planned based on pilot agency feedback.
The software operates on HDS-certified hosting infrastructure with data encryption in transit and at rest to maintain GDPR compliance and CNIL requirements for sensitive data. Standard support is available weekdays by telephone, chat and email with guaranteed response times within two hours during business hours. Alma includes initial training, data migration and software updates as part of the subscription.
