MDToolbox offers an integrated as well as standalone solution, allowing users to integrate the e-prescribing module with other health IT software systems. A free mobile version is included with every license, enabling prescribers to manage prescriptions wherever and whenever they need. MDToolbox offers a range of features designed to help users manage prescriptions easily online, including electronic refills, electronic prior authorizations, prescription history lookups, formulary and copay information, links to PMPs and direct messaging. E-prescribing tools allow users to send and receive prescription orders to 99% of retail and mail order pharmacies nationwide, while electronic refill capabilities enable users to respond to refill requests from pharmacies efficiently online. MDToolbox supports electronic prescribing of both controlled substances (EPCS) and non-controlled substances. A comprehensive library gives users quick and central access to drug references, decision support, patient education, and interaction and formulary checking information. Users can create customizable prescription and pharmacy favorites lists, which enable users to write and send e-prescription quickly and easily. Pending lists ensure no prescription is ever forgotten or misplaced, while a built-in dosing calculator gives users the recommended per weight dosing values for reference automatically. Other MDToolbox features include PDMP integrations, 1-click prescribing from favorite lists, real time prescription benefit eligibility checking and formulary coverage, and real-time interaction checking with user customizable alert levels. MDToolbox also ensures data protection with full HIPAA compliance.
