What is Netsmart Helper?

Netsmart Helper is a Windows-based medical practice management software designed to help psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors, and other therapy providers manage scheduling, billing, prescribing, cashflow, and more. The platform includes an appointment management tool, which enables users to plan one-time or recurring appointments with single or multiple therapists using color-coded time blocks.

Netsmart Helper allows administrators to securely store patient information in a database and provide role-based access to staff members, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. The audit trail feature lets organizations monitor logins and addition, update or deletion of patient records. The solution’s electronic remittance advice (ERA) feature allows managers to electronically receive the explanation of benefits (EOBs) information and apply insurance payments to consultation sessions, add adjustment codes, and create secondary claims to handle insurance compensation.

Netsmart Helper allows organizations to gain insights into cash flow, referral sources, patient activities, bills, and more via analytics and export the reports into Microsoft Excel. It supports integration with various in-house applications such as ClaimsConnect for processing claims, EMRX for e-prescribing, and myLearningPointe for online learning.
