Pros

I like the ease of scheduling and the ease of accessibility. My employees enjoy having their schedule at their fingertips at all times.
It utilizes all of my employees' availabilities and I love having the ability to see that my employee has acknowledged their schedules.
We loved all of the features and integrations. With the new law that was supposed to go into effect for salary overtime, this was the perfect software to choose.

Pros

From first contact to present date I have had nothing but positive experiences with RotaCloud. The sales and technical support teams are fantastic, quick to respond and very friendly.
The customer service team are super helpful and interactive, will go above and beyond to help make the system work for you.
Its been just great, the rota cloud staff are always on hand to help if I need to know anything.

Cons

I did not realize this when signing up, and find it a maddening waste of time when you have a real problem to solve (and you will have problems!).
My only bad experience is that I had to restart my phone a few times because of the GPS problems when I was trying to clock in, which was annoying and time-consuming.
If you make a mistake and accidentally alter the availability for one day you have to go back to that day and fix it before adjusting your availability.

Cons

Not having an undo or back button. At times I get interrupted during writing the staff rota and have dropped shifts on the wrong staff or deleted a shift by mistake.
Not being able to have a banked hours additional leave allocation area. Not being able to stop staff being able to request leave if they are near the red allocation as we use hourly leave.
For example the uploading of recruitment documents. The budgeting add-on is confusing to use and not very clear to view.

That I can continually change the rota and staff are notified instantly

Cons

I don't think there is anything I don't like aobut Rota Cloud. I use it the way I want. There are so many more features that I simply don't need. But It's good to see they are there.

Its a really good system for our venue (performing arts) that is popular with all our users. The support is quick, helpful and friendly.

Pros

Very easy to use and is popular with our full-time staff and our freelance and casual staff. Easy to see who is called and when and what work they are going to be doing.

Cons

The desktop interface could do with a bit of updating to show a bit more information and some different options (views) for how the information is displayed.

i get my sanity back and a situation where staff cannot fail to know their shifts

Pros

simple to use once you have got to grips with it, great customer support, creates a situation where staff become solely responsible for knowing when they are meant to be at work, saves me huge amounts of time and stress

Cons

the holiday booking side of things could be improved by adding a calendar that shows what dates are not available/prebooked, to stop requests that are for unavailable dates. still a lot easier than the old system though!

Time saving and can see everything in one location

Pros

Using Rota Cloud has saved me a huge amount of time, not only that, I can see my staff costs at each location and department with ease.

Cons

The holiday entitlement doesn't always work as I would like i too, but overall very good.Would like to see public holidays on the calendar.

Pros

I love the fact that it is easy to access and everyone can see shifts that need covering, who’s where and also that you can leave notes for the staff on duty at the next shift. Trying to work out best place to record things when there’s a lot of part time shift workers is always a problem and RotaCloud has fixed this! Couldn’t do without it now.

Cons

The only downside is having to scroll through weekly to get to the rota a few weeks/months in advance. This is time consuming and hopefully they will develop a drop down calendar soon..? Thank you in advance!

Very handy app. Love having all the information I need all in one place and super easy to use

Having all the information all in one place makes everything so easy. It has completely cut the time it take to do a rota, the lay out makes it all so straight forward. I use the staff more efficiently, instead of having 6 staff on in one day where they are not needed or not having enough staff for a day. I have been able to move them around to times when they are needed because the layout makes it very clear who is on and who you need.

Pros

Whenever I need help or have a question one of the lads will reply more or less straight away, they talk me through what I need to do. Its great not having to go through diaries or spreadsheets trying to figure out when people are on holidays , with one click I have all the employee holidays in front of me. I never go over my hours limit, it adds it up for me itself which saves the company I work...

Its been just great, the rota cloud staff are always on hand to help if I need to know anything.

Pros

I love this programme because I can plan ahead our rotas for our cleaners and they get it on their phones. They know when they are in and the gps feature really helps.

Cons

nothing really - sometimes the cleaners cant clock in but I feel this is more of an issue with the signal on their phones.

It is much quicker and easier to get my rota organised. It's better that staff can check their shifts daily and any changes notify them on their phones. I like the financial summary it produces as well.

Pros

I like how easy it is to make a rota and see the financial side of things quickly and easily. I like the quick and very responsive feedback when I have been unsure of anything on the soft ware.

Cons

I don't like that the weekly hours doesn't include any annual leave staff have taken, as I then have to add that manually on another spread sheet, where all other rota issues are managed by the Rota Cloud soft ware.

Cannot live without this software

We have been using this software for 8 months now and I cannot recommend it enough, my business would struggle without it. It saves time and is really easy to use even without training. You can run reports that help to see many useful things such as cost of labour and hours used etc plus many more. If you ever get stuck or have a question the staff are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. What can I say but thank god for Rotacloud!!

Cons

That it doesn't remind me of patterns of clients and when I forget one!!!

Quite simply it has revolutionised my interaction with my staff and made everything so simple. I love it as I know who is where (and when) and the staff love it as they know where they need to be, when they are off, how much holiday they have, etc. from their phone at any time of the day or night

Fantastic, great team. They are so good it feels like we are part of the same company sometimes! They are fun, very helpful and well mannered! I love customer service and this team are a great example of how a company should project those skills.

Pros

I love that rotacloud has allowed me to gain time back for other responsibilities. It makes rota writing so much easier and quicker, helping my work load be more manageable.

Cons

I would say our staff would raise issues because they are reluctant to use the excellent help section. I personally do advise to use the product on the laptop rather than the app for those who struggle with mobile tech.

The staff are always on hand to help with any issues.

Improves communication across the work place.

Pros

That the staff have apps that can let them know what days and hours they are down to work and any changes are sent to them instantly and has improved the communication within the work place.

Cons

Not having an undo or back button. At times I get interrupted during writing the staff rota and have dropped shifts on the wrong staff or deleted a shift by mistake. this is not a huge issue as I send the guys a message and they will undo this for me within 10 min.

I needed a piece of software that simply allowed me to integrate with calendars and allow my employees to select available shifts in advance to prevent me forcing people to work.

Cons

I have used this for two years now and so far I cannot fault it as it does exactly what I need it to do.

Great rota system - no more spreadsheets!

They are very quick to reply when you have a question and very helpful and friendly - nowadays that is so rare to find with customer service.

Pros

I like how it looks and how easy it is to use overall. I also like that it automatically calculates the weekly hours although I would love to have a feature that shows me the daily hour total when I am entering the staff shifts as they change everyday. I also love the reports and the availability/unavailability feature.

Cons

As mentioned above, the fact that it does not give me the day total hours, only the weekly ones.

A product u dont realise u need until u have tried it

I cannot fault the system it does work flawlessly and they are open to ideas and try developing them so I couldn't ask for more great team doing an amazing job well done guys

Pros

It seems to be one of them products that I want you have tried it you don't realize how much you needed it and then if you try stepping backwards are not using it going back to your old way you soon miss it all the information seems to be there when you need it stuff I responsible for their own clocking in and out and any issues that I have had with it I've been user errors even though I have annoyed the rotacloud team thinking it was some glitch and the fact that staff can request their holidays in advance and it stops of spotting them into them shifts

Cons

The only issue I find is when I do need some advice on their live chat it seems to be out of business hours and I think by the time most business owners get chance to do anything it is out of business hours especially smaller businesses

Attendance Module

Amazing for organising staff rota, payroll and monitoring attendance and lateness.

Pros

We have been using Rotacloud for a few years and i have reviewd the application previously , but now we have recently added on the attendance module. This has been instrumental in monitoring lateness and attendance throughout the office. You can even set it to remind employees when their next shift is and notify them if they are going to be late. The reporting system is brilliant and having just had our management meeting it was great to log on and present the issues we have and the staff that need to be addressed. Would highly recommend this.

Cons

If an employee works an extra shift it still show that there is a discrepancy when when you authorise the shift.

I think the main benefit is that the staff always know what shift they are doing.

Pros

I like that members of my team can have the app on their phone and if I need to make changes to the rota it sends them an update. Also when doing the rotas it's great that it adds the weekly hours up. This helps me to stay within budget.

Cons

I haven't found anything that I don't like. I have found it easy to use and the fact that it is a reasonable price is a bonus.

This product has saved me so much time, covering shifts and sickness at a click of the button instead of dozens of calls.

Pros

The programme is so easy to use and set up for what I required for my department. before we used this the rotas had to be printed and when there was a change they had to be printed again. sickness then required someone going through a list of employees and phoning them to see who could cover the shift. All I do now is put the shift into Rotacloud and everyone is sent an email and when someone accepts the shift I am notified. This product saves me so much time and have access to it on my phone which enables me to deal with problems straight away.

Cons

I honestly can not answer this as I am more than happy with what this has done for me.

Best Rota Tool

Happy to have found and decided to adopt this software, best decision ever. Only when you have struggled with rota and keeping track of employees' attendance, that's when you appreciate more the ease of implementation and use of such a tool.

Pros

Fresh, easy straight forward to implement and use. Keeps all in order and helps with employee attendance performance, scheduling, reporting and more.

Cons

Nothing in particular. Every business is different and has different needs.

really helped ease our rota buliding

Saves time when preparing weekly rotas. All staff receive notifications of shifts so no misunderstanding can happen.

Pros

Staff can keep track of shifts / swap with each other/book holidays and monitor how many days left they have without having to keep coming to ask therefore saving me time!

Cons

in the past the app updates have had issues on certain handsets and it can sometimes show incorrect information - However the rota cloud team soon resolve any issues...

Its a good all round system, maybe we probably dont use it to its full advantage as we only use it for seasonal staff so dont use the leave functions etc. I would query the risk to our service if the system was to go down for any reason, we do have manual plans in place but it would still cause issues to the patient led service we provide.

Pros

It is easy to use, and the service staff are friendly and always very helpful at hand to help if needed

Cons

When working off site on my laptop i dont get the full screen function on my screen to be able to see all staff on the rota

You Couldn't Possibly Want for More

Staff are informed instantaneously which I love. Leave applications, extra shifts, all the information including shift costs. Has saved me a lot of time and effort.

Pros

Believe me, if I love this product, then it's got to be good. Besides being fastidious about what I want out of a rota system, I'm one of those old school, long-in-the-tooth people who still believes manual systems are best! Yes, I know!!! However, the RotaCloud designers have covered all the bases. I can't imagine what else you would want. Easy to use, quick, everything you need at the click of a button, and more.

Cons

I've not found anything. Maybe there could be less line-spacing when I print out a hard copy for the noticeboard, but now I'm being really picky.
