ZipRecruiter vs Indeed Comparison

I like that all the companies can post their job listing in one stop go. Also, its easy for employers to talk to employees and schedule meeting and recruit staff.

There are not many features as such the advertisement can not be sponsored and employees can not know about the company on their listing page

Ability to post to mulitple sites through them.

Need more assessment tools similar to Indeed.

This website is useful. And, this would be for you if you want to apply for many similar jobs at once. I used this website while I used Indeed and LinkedIn for finding a job.

I like their intuitive website and clear interface over Indeed. They have many positions and opportunities available but little less than Indeed.

ZipRecruiter is easy to use and since it pulls jobs from over one hundred job boards it saves me time.

It is missing the jobs posted on the other large job boards like Indeed. It used to connect with Indeed and now they don’t.

The addition of job postings were easy enough but the overall experience with Zip Recruiter was not to my liking.

PRICE. The price compared to Indeed is much higher. I opted to not use Zip Recruiter and stick with Indeed 100% of the time

I think this gets better quality applicants than Indeed. That's just my personal opinion. I tend to use it far more than Indeed

No cons really. I enjoy Zip recruiter a lot.

You can find good quality candidates for the jobs you are looking for. Seem to be more qualified than most.

My company was paying indeed 29,000 a month! And indeed is a total joke. We had more applicant candidate flow than we did with indeed for much less cost. It was easy to use and intuitive. The sales lady took the time to schedule several meetings with us. Indeed never did that and could care less about our concerns. We were happy to take business away from indeed and give it to ZipRecruiter.

Nothing, it is great. It is a much better option than most.

Jobs posted to Zip Recruiter are automatically distributed across a variety of other job boards. Plus, Zip Recruiter can pull postings directly from our company's XML feeds, so there is no need to manually post a single job.

The cost is still pretty on-par with Indeed

I like how zip recruiter is well known amoungst many companies

I dont find the dependability there like in indeed

Easy to upload resume, easy to contact companies and easy to get job quicker.

I feel pretty heavier than other application like indeed.

This had some different jobs in my area not on other employment software.

Not as many job listings as others like Indeed

I think it would be a good service if there was a true free version of it that lasted.

Have to pay for applicants. I like indeed better.

I liked this software and that it helps with finding a job. Very good software and I like that you can post jobs for free

Personally I prefer Indeed because I like that I can apply for jobs within the Indeed website as opposed to zip recruiter where I was unable to

You pay monthly and get unlimited candidates , thats good! Another great option is to search for candidates and invite them. It is working for us.

Quality of candidates is not the best sometime you get people from very different fields

It has better layout that other job boards. Easy to use and straight forward.

Zip recruiter got me in contact with many different companies in my field.

Zip recruiter is popular but not as popular as Indeed.

Zip recruiter is simple enough to use when looking for employees.

It lacks some of the more advanced functionality of something like indeed.

Im a college student that is finding jobs during the pandemic. Obviously difficult, but ZipRecruiter made it an easier process. The UI/UX appeared intuitive to me and it did not take me very long to get used to the system. I appreciate this toolkit as it helped me view some job postings

I felt like the number of job posting lacks in comparison to Indeed. When i use ziprecruiter, i use it alongside indeed. They're more complementary instead of substitutes though

Indeed is great at returning relative job searches

The application is a little too 'busy' meaning it's a search results page can be a little tough to focus on at first

They're continuing to improve their website with added features that help organize who has/hasn't been contacted, along with private notes for yourself. Indeed also delivers the most qualified candidates in almost every situation of hiring, along with a greater number of applicants than any other job board.

Indeed is basic compared to ZipRecruiter and visually less appealing.

How it reaches out to a wide variety of job applicants and filters them out based on qualifications and past job experience.

Sometimes it can be a little expensive compared to other competitors like ZipRecruiter and CareerBuilder.

Compared to other employment search engines the GUI is very straight forward and no-nonsense. As well the ease of concise searches through the use of search filters that are pertinent to job seekers.

This could be viewed as an alternate version of other employment search engines such as Monster, and ZipRecruiter, etc.

It was easy to post new roles, edit current ones, as well as search through their resume databases!

Customer service was a little lacking, I did feel like I was on my own most of the time, but it was easy enough so not a big worry.

Indeed is the most popular platform to find a job and also to post a job. And Indeed portal makes it easy for users to create a profile, upload their resumes, CVs, and also for recruiters to access those information, and also for company to post the job with the desired qualifications!

Since Indeed is too popular, it's hard for people to actually find a job since for every listing there are a lot of people who apply for that position. And also it makes companies go through a lot of unqualified resumes.

This site is a life-saver. I have received so many interviews from this site and I have access to the latest jobs that I never heard about.

I don't like the plain background and I feel like it can be colorful like Ziprecruiter. Maybe add a chat service or recruiting coordinator.

While job posters might be interested in posting to multiple boards, job seekers should look to ziprecruiter or glassdoor first for better results

Results aren't as good as some of the other job boards

Very easy to hire people on here. Pay by the day and I got way more applicants on here than elsewhere like ZipRecruiter.

Sometimes a little glitchy and will require me to click something twice before it really registers. Also, I would notice that for $50/day, we'd get maybe 200 applicants in a month but for $15 we'd get 194. My company wasted a lot of money before I took over because they just put $50 for everything to get "the most" without there being much benefit.

I love indeed. I just so nice to easy I had a lot of offers with indeed and had good jobs with indeed. I love it. It's visually pleasurable, fast, and convenient.

I wish they had a one tap apply like ziprecruiter. But either than that I love it. It's the best job search site for me

It is intuitive to use. I've been using it now for 8+ years for Job posts in various search firms I worked at and now as the CEO of my own Retained Executive Search Firm. Primarily for our Engineer Searches.

Keeping up with their growth/changes with their platform. I liked when you could do a search for someone and their resume would come up with their name on it and contact information.

Indeed is one of the best and easiest ways to find a quality job quickly. I generally find that there is the most offers on Indeed, this is also where I found my current job! We use it all the time to find new candidates.

The design of their website is a bit outdated, but it is still very intuitive so there isn't much to complain about. All in all, Indeed is a great tool.

When looking to source resumes for job openings, I enjoy searching Indeed's vast database of resumes. This is a very helpful tool for finding people in my area with a specific set of skills.

If you have a job opening to post, Indeed will not get you anywhere near the amount of resumes you could generate had you used ZipRecruiter.

Much more flexible than other recruitment websites to customize job search criteria such as industry, field, key words, and pay.

Very similar to ZipRecruiter and other recruitment websites there is a lot of cross posting and sometimes it feels very spam like and not an actual job posting.

I've used Indeed to post job listings and check company reviews, for which it's very easy to use (although the UI could be better).

Personally, I used Indeed to find a couple of jobs. It's not as easy to submit applications through this as it is through ZipRecruiter (although in many cases that can be good).

We are able to find qualified candidates that match the job description of what we are looking for. The assessments allow us to further screen applicants to make sure we are finding the right fit for our company.

You have to pay to promote your posting and when you search for candidates, you are not always able to get a phone number to contact them and a lot of applicants don't check the indeed created email address they get.

It was really helpful with finding jobs. I felt like I actually got more callbacks and hits on my resume through Indeed than Ziprecruiter. However, some of the applications take a lot of time.

I had scammers that would contact me through Indeed. Don't know how safe my information was on Indeed.
