The online booking and client app have made it easier for pet owners to stay connected and engaged in their pet’s care, and we’ve been able to provide clear estimates and communication without adding extra steps to our workflow.

I loved the Shepherd software interface and invoice/flow task board/medical record combining but ultimately I chose Digitail because of the client facing app, telemedicine - virtual lobby and mapping for mobile house calls.

Refunds, every step requiring multiple steps. When filling meds that are not in stock it would be nice to me able to choose dispense now on the medication tab or dispense later so that when the meds arrive we can print the label without having to disable the old rx and make a new one or else the cost is 0 dollars.

We have several serious issues i.e., cannot add or change client addresses, none of our client's open balances transferred over from our old HIPPO software which means $1000's of lost revenue.

My overall experience with Digitail has been positive—it’s easy to use, streamlines daily workflows, and improves client communication, though it has a few limitations in advanced customization.

I love Digitail's accessibility via tablet and phone, which is what I use the most o house calls.

The inventory module could be improved has far adding reorder points and reorder amounts.

As a referral service, it is very important that our records are thorough and professional.

Right now, new entries only appear at the bottom and can not be moved and the whole plan needs to be re-created.

Online Booking: Now they have an embeddable widget to add to our website.

I do also wish we could create our own visit types to work with what we are used to.  

I have a love/hate relationship for Digitail.  

The inventory feature can sometimes be confusing in regard to entering and changing a product.

There is a library of helpful guides and videos.

I've noticed after we have manually entered a client and patient into the system, if they then go enter themselves into the app it will create a duplicate and I do not have the power to merge them.

Quality UX: This is a veterinary software that feels modern. And that matters when onboarding and training new staff.

They fired our implementation person along with about a quarter of their staff the day before we went live.  

Clients seem to like the ease of use from their end.  

The service has been reliable and our records look very nice.

We also really like how the treatments are so easily approved and declined within a SOAP note and then anything approved will automatically pull into the invoice.

Flowboard: Quick and easy way to "bounce" between SOAPs.

Their tech support team does not respond to problems.  

It has made our record keeping very easy!

Using Digitail we managed to completely give up paper sheets, we improved our communication with customers by sending them the files every time by email or giving them access from the mobile application to the information in the consultation sheets.

Still working on some functions with inventory pricing and tracking but likely a learning curve to fully utilize the system

The software is not user friendly at all and is very hard to search for and look up medical and test results,  unable to delete patients when there are duplicates, not easy to enter a new breed or characteristic of patients,  updating patients weight requires lots of unnecessary steps and linking records from other hospitals can be extremely time consuming.  

Searches are simply too complex for the technology that exists today, filtering should be possible within the system but it is sorely lacking (not many or none).

When running inventory reports, I once was running different reports on 7 computers because it was taking about 15-30 minutes for each report. If I had only been using one computer, I would have never gotten what I needed to do done.
