VETbuddy is a web-based veterinary practice management solution which allows veterinary clinics to manage their records and workflows from one central, paperless system. The online system can be used on desktop or mobile devices to manage and access electronic medical records (EMR), appointments, certificates, bills, equipment, inventory, and more. VETbuddy also offers tools for communicating with clients, gaining insight through business intelligence, allowing client self service through a portal, invoicing customers, and more.

Veterinary practices can manage the day-to-day running of individual or multiple locations with VETbuddy’s clinic management features which include EMRs (electronic medical records), appointment scheduling, billing and invoicing, inventory tracking, patient admissions, treatment plans, membership packages, referral management, and more. Electronic medical records can be created for each patient with pre-defined fields for information such as animal species, lab reports, history forms, assessment lists, exam forms, and medicine dosages. Medical records also store data on a patient's vitals over time, dental, eye, and body charts, lab reports, treatment plans, and more, and reports can be emailed to clients with attached documents.

With VETbuddy users are able to manage their appointments and view upcoming appointments in the calendar tool. Clients are also able to register as a member and login to the self service client portal to make appointments, update their information, view their pet’s medical records, communicate with the clinic, and receive notifications and reminders for upcoming appointments. Clients can be billed within the VETbuddy system, with tools for creating estimates or long-term treatment plans, and invoicing patients directly. The cloud-based system also integrates with third party payment gateways and accounting tools to manage payments and track finances.
