I wasn't aware of the existence of this application, but I really feel comfortable and used it. I will definitely take into consideration at the moment of recommend it to someone who needs it.
I still remember three months ago, when I received my first invitation to a meeting with Amazon Chime. My colleges and I were a little bit surprise about this link, we weren't aware that Amazon had a video call service. So it was a surprise. Since then we got used to it. Really easy for using, the bar for sharing screen, turning off camera and muting yourself. Something different, as zoom, google meet and Webex have them below.
One of the things I don't like of Chime is the support for Linux. There's none. You have to used the web version. But in the meantime, there's support for Mac and Windows. So not good from Amazon doing this.

Our client is required to be on this platform because they are an Amazon subsidiary. Even they wish we could meet on zoom or MS teams. This is just a buggy and difficult platform to use successfully at scale.
Not much. It comes with the territory when your client is an Amazon subsidiary.
This is always a difficult session when a client chooses chime as their platform for a meeting. People get dropped, there are sound distortions, it is difficult to call into a meeting. it feels like every Chime meeting has its challenges.

My experience has been positive. I highly recommend this software to large companies.
I love that all of our offices can connect from every location. We are able to meet face to face and share reports easily and quickly with no glitches. We can also set reminders on our phones so that we remember when the next meeting is.
There is nothing I dislike about this software.

I use it for every type of meeting I have because it not only really stable but it let me record everything in case I want to double check something said in the meeting.
I really like its really easy to use and how you can interact with other programs like google calendar. It’s super stable, you can invite participants from other institutions really fast and it let you connect using the phone when the internet is not good with a tool free number. I must say that is more complete than any other programs I have used.
I think it has everything a good program to have meetings needs. Maybe be more light while using videos or sharing screen would help.

What do you like excellent? I did just like the sidebar panel that displayed all the users gift in the call. The display and characteristic turned into beneficial. That is set the handiest aspect that I liked higher about Chime than different comparable gear.
system for video conferencing (possible Chime just 'suffered' from being the Nth one instead of the 1st or second) Also it felt like each time it routinely had people be a part of with their microphone on but without pre-warning customers of that so humans much more likely to purpose interruptions. For the primary element even though, it really works like some other video conferencing platform but...

Hangouts is an excellent way to get ahead. I would suggest this for any business
Very easy to use. I have also used Facetime with Apple but somewhat find it easier to use Hangouts. The ability to make video calls and regular calls is awesome.
The ability to chime in multiple people would be a great addition. Also being able to use it only on WIFi would also be great

I use it daily to keep in contact with family members. I love it because you can easily create different groups of family members/friends and fluidly switch from conversation to conversation. I love that I can check on it in my inbox along with my mail.
It's easy to use, great across phones and computer browsers, and it helps me keep in contact with different friends and family members.
I wish there was a way to go "invisible" - see if there are messages coming through without being visible to other users, so you wouldn't be "present" and expected to chime in if you're busy.

Overall, I would recommend Google hangouts definitely for personal use if trying to communicate with friends or family but a bit primitive for the workplace.
Almost everyone has Gmail so almost everyone is familiar with the interface and Hangouts does a good job of embracing this fact. You log in, click on a person, and start a chat/hangout. Very simple for the most basic of chats.
There is no good way to search through the history of hangouts and if there is then there is no good way to find it. It takes a lot of scrolling to find what you want. The notifications while configurable have been wildly inconsistent and seem to have a mind of their own. Sometimes it will chime, sometimes you will see a visual notification in the tab above, and then sometimes nothing at all.

I have had the chance to become closer to friends and family using the hangouts app. That is priceless. I get so excited when my aunt, a nice, a nephew or a cousin calls me and I get to see and hear their voices
I love hangouts! Nothing like hearing that chime come from your phone! It's not obnoxious like a ring... It's something you get excited about hearing! What I love is that I can talk to my kids and SEE THEIR FACE at the same time. People that you haven't seen in years will be able to see and talk to you in real time. You can also message anyone. Group chats are also great with hangouts. You can use emoji's and update your status in messages. The best part? It's free. If the person you talk to has hangouts, it won't cost you a dime. Also, because it is a google app, if you have a smart phone (especially and android) you don't even need to upload numbers, it does it right from your phone.
Sometimes the communication is a bit choppy, bit that's typically if you are in a bad area for signal. This would be the same if you were on a cell phone in a poor coverage area. It's still great though, I love using this app.

While I think it is a good solutions for smaller, collaborative meetings, I do not like it for larger meetings of 8-10 or more people because I think it lacks some functionality for that. I also wish it was compatible with Amazon Fire devices. Otherwise, it is clean, easy to use, and works great for those smaller meetings and I enjoy using it for those rather than other solutions when possible.
I have used this software for small group meetings in and out of work before and find it to be a good solution. It is easy to use and the look is clean.
It doesn't appear to be available on Amazon Fire tablet devices which is shame because we use this for my son's distance learning school meetings and he has to use a separate device just for this then return to his tablet for his assignments. On a functional level however, it can be a bit of a cluster with the camera views changing based on who is speaking and the presenter not being able to force mute people because they can still turn themselves back on.
