Pros

GoTo meeting is very easy to use and the quality of video and audio is great. I love that I can save my recordings to the cloud.
It is a brilliant and super powerful tool that does not demand any training to use. It has a nice and high definition video quality thus making it best option for conferencing and screen sharing.
It is a good software for teaching purposes, very fast the installation and it is not too expensive. If you have a few students is the best solution.

Pros

What I enjoy most about Zoom is its ease of use, ability to record meetings, and its affordable price point.
The cost benefit is very good and ease of connection, I can share the screen during meetings, and excellent for my work.
The fact that it is easy to learn, as well as the quit and helpful response from customer service. I am glad it was recommended to me and I will continue to help others by doing the same.

Cons

What i dislike is we can add only maximum 100 participants and after completing trial version pricing are very high. It lags while video conferencing and audio syncing problem is also there sometime.
They refused to investigate, even though PayPal reps had thoroughly investigated and had some suggestions. They simply refused to consider the possibility of a problem on their end.
One issue is that any minor interruption in internet connectivity can cause disruption in the call and getting back to the call is a bit of pain.

Cons

I think we were so overwhelmed by the zoom at this bad time that there is nothing to worry about.
If I do have problems sharing my screen, etc. then I have to typically leave zoom and re-enter the meeting. It always solves the problem but is an annoyance.
There has been a few times where Zoom doesn't work well with my internet and I'll randomly be dropped from calls with no warning.

As a team member, we use GoToMeeting weekly for at home working. GotoMeeting will work with your phone or laptop. Easy to use. Easy to add to calendar and email out to the whole office on up coming times.

Pros

GoToMeeting is very easy to use. Calendar update are send out to your team, saves on your calendar. Easy to view meeting times.

Cons

I compared this to zoom, I didn't have any issue with GoToMeeting like I did with Zoom. With Zoom, I had a hard time loading.

Does what you would expect an online meeting software to do.

Pros

Was easier to setup than Zoom. Spent several days with four people and Zoom tech support trying to make Zoom work for us. Switched to Gotomeeting and was up in 30 minutes.

Cons

Would prefer per user virtual background integration like zoom has. Zoom has a great feature where you can replace your background and appear to be somewhere else. No green screen required.

the software is a good alternative to zoom (even better than microsoft teams) but still not as good as zoom. Sometimes the connection is lost or has some lag on video

I like that it has stability for connections and big group support. Has good quality overall in the online meetings

Cons

The industry norm right now is zoom which has better connection and service. This one is more expensive than zoom

We're happy with the cost, happy with the basic features, and we'll likely be switching from zoom.

Pros

The pricing go GTM is much more economical than Zoom. My team Is comparing this along with zoom. So far, zoom delivers more features and has more integrations, but at a substantially higher cost.

Cons

Lacking key breakout room/session features that zoom has. In a remote world, there needs to be large-scale meetings which can be dissemnated into smaller conversations.

GoToMeeting is a solid performer in market but with the likes of Zoom and Teams, it's not something I refer to use.

Pros

I like how it's a simple system where you can have basically a conference centre with remote calling in facilities.

Cons

Unlike zoom/teams, it's not very interface friendly at all. It needs to catch up to zoom or Microsoft teams.

For the trial, I felt I got a good look at GoToMeeting and if we weren't already using Zoom we most likely would have used.

Pros

It seems very similar to Zoom and easy enough to navigate. Interface is different, and GoToMeeting is less used universally but it does seem very secure.

Cons

Compared to Zoom, I felt this had less features and learning how to use it compared to Zoom seemed more difficult.

We were using GoToMeeting quite a bit until the pandemic started and Zoom became the primary meeting software we are using.

Pros

I have found it quite similar to Zoom in functionality. Simple to create a quick meeting on the fly.

Cons

The folks we tend to work with expect Zoom or Webex which ultimately pushed most of my staff to use Zoom.

Cons

It does not have the same functionality and ease of use compared to other options, like Zoom. Also, since Zoom has become more popular, colleagues and collaborators are more likely to be comfortable with Zoom compared to GoTo Meeting.

I use both Zoom and GoToMeeting, GoToMeeting is a great alternative to Zoom and is easy to use and install.

Pros

The functions are easy to find and use in the system. Webinars and meetings are easy to run and I personally have not experienced any technical issues.

Cons

Some of the user interface options if you are presenting a webinar can be difficult to use and are not very intuitive your first time using the program.

GoToMeeting is a great tool for video meetings

It's great for virtual meetings. Most of my team works remotely and it's easy to have a quick meeting or have client meetings.

Pros

The platform is easy to use and set up and it integrates well with my Google calendar.

Cons

Most people tend to use Zoom. We also use Zoom and find that most people know more about Zoom are are more comfortable using that. That being said, some people do prefer to use GoToMeeting to set up meetings.

It's like Kleenex and Jello. It is a Zoom Meeting no matter the provider, so use the name brand

It's awesome. I use them all with my work. Goto Meeting, WebEx, Google Meet, Zoom.

Pros

Really can't exist with out Zoom since our office went remote in 2020 and now is hybrid. Our clients are all over the world, so not sure how we lived without before.

Cons

I just havent learned all the features and feel like am not using it to its fullest potential.

After having tested several other products (goto meeting, join.me and Webex) , Zoom ticked all the boxes .

Pros

Ease of use from a host and invitee perspective. Price point. Bolt on options such as rooms.

Cons

Limited storage of recorded meetings. Onboarding new users could be easier.

Best Conference Call/Virtual Meeting Software Available

Again, the issues I am highlighting are fairly nit picky as Zoom is vastly superior to the previous product we were using (Goto Meeting)

Pros

So lets start by acknowledging that every single professional conference call/virtual meeting software or product has some flaws. None of them offer everything you want without some glitches or issues. That said, I've used countless other products/vendors and can I attest that Zoom is easily the best of its class available on the market. I love that there is a simple Zoom add-on you can download into your personal Outlook to make scheduling meetings incredibly easy. Love that all employees get their own accounts/unique login ID's. I think the mobile app is also a big plus, as I have joined meetings and viewed what others are sharing directly on my phone. The customization options are outstanding.

Cons

Couple of areas for improvement: - It doesn't need to blast super loud "this call is being recorded." That can freak some interviewees out. Consider changing to a visual cue that the call is being recorded (or a more subtle audio cue) - Really wish there was a feature that warned you when you've accidentally scheduled two zoom meetings that overlap (with the same user/login). Zoom is Doing it Right

I've used this software several times with clients and it has performed beautifully. I will be using this software as my choice for client meetings.

Pros

Phenomenal software. Better than Skype. Better than join.me. Better then GoTo Meeting. Has all the features you need . For most people, you can just get by on the free version. Great for video conferencing. No annoying download everytime you do a meeting.

Cons

Had some difficulties find the mute button right off, but once found it wasn't an issue.

Zoom is just another Solution for video conferencing, but not that different from others

It is well suited for quick conferencing needs, but needs more work on integration with other productivity suites. It may not be so well-known, but it gets the job done!

Pros

The interface seems more clean than most of the other options - Goto meeting, Hangouts, etc. The response time is also good- quick loading and connections. It could be due to the light weight nature of the Zoom meeting webapp/application. Screensharing works fine. We mostly use for external conferencing.

Cons

Integration with Google Suite or Microsoft is bit rough. Scheduling calls thus requires more effort. The sound quality can improve with more emphasis on Human voice. Quickly adding any member also is not as smooth as other solutions like Hangouts, skype, etc.

Pros

Great audio and video quality. What like most about it is that pretty much everyone uses it and you don’t have to worry when sending links to others. (Compared to Teams, Goto Meeting, WebEx, etc.)

Cons

While it does have some integrations with Outlook, I prefer using Microsoft Teams because it’s better integrated with Office 355 and easier to have impromptu meetings.

The easiest virtual meeting tool

Overall, zoom meetings have been close to perfect, consuming way less bandwidths than fellow competitors. The real time screen sharing feature, and communication management makes it a goto app for a quick meeting

Pros

With zoom anyone can setup a virtual meeting with little to zero configuration required, a few clicks from the website would have your meeting setup in real time with various sharing options

Cons

There's a 40 minutes call limitation when you create a meet for the first time. When this time is up, the call ends abruptly without any form of warning. Due to th high usage across board, I believe this should be addressed by the team.

Simple to Use Web Conferencing

My employer recently switched from GoTo Meeting to Zoom. The transition was relatively painless. It works on the same principle as GoTo, but with a different layout and locations for the various features. I do like the ability to draw/markup the screen, very handy. Overall I like it and don't feel like I am missing out. Call quality in general is good, although occasionally will get some sound outages.
