Pros

GoTo meeting is very easy to use and the quality of video and audio is great. I love that I can save my recordings to the cloud.
It is a brilliant and super powerful tool that does not demand any training to use. It has a nice and high definition video quality thus making it best option for conferencing and screen sharing.
It is a good software for teaching purposes, very fast the installation and it is not too expensive. If you have a few students is the best solution.

Pros

It has been an amazing platform for all our educational needs. This is probably the best product that a university or school can invest in especially during this pandemic situation.
Overall MS Teams is a very good software with amazing features and amazing customer support.
Everything is extremely user friendly, with a nice graphical interface and all the other added integrated features are really a nice bonus too.

Cons

What i dislike is we can add only maximum 100 participants and after completing trial version pricing are very high. It lags while video conferencing and audio syncing problem is also there sometime.
They refused to investigate, even though PayPal reps had thoroughly investigated and had some suggestions. They simply refused to consider the possibility of a problem on their end.
One issue is that any minor interruption in internet connectivity can cause disruption in the call and getting back to the call is a bit of pain.

Cons

When video is being used and when a different background is used and when the person moves it looks very fake and weird.
It has bad connection when working remotely. With a team of 30 on one call, we were getting every other word in and it made meeting ineffective.
The most frustrating part is that teams can crash if there are too many people on at once.

Old School

Reviewed 3 years ago

GoToMeeting is a solid performer in market but with the likes of Zoom and Teams, it's not something I refer to use.

Pros

I like how it's a simple system where you can have basically a conference centre with remote calling in facilities.

Cons

Unlike zoom/teams, it's not very interface friendly at all. It needs to catch up to zoom or Microsoft teams.

Not as streamlined as other virtual meeting tools

Reviewed 4 years ago

We eventually abandoned the product and use Microsoft Teams now.

Pros

I liked that you can allow annotate on the screen and illustrate their thoughts.

Cons

The integration with my Outlook calendar was poor. I don't like that it adds the word "invitation" to the meeting title... Isn't that already obvious? If you change the meeting time in outlook, you have to make sure to also change it in GoToMeeting. I don't like the call-in feature. Too many numbers to dial.

Good Overall Meeting Platform

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall this is a great meeting platform. However, I prefer Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Pros

GoTo Meeting has done a pretty good job keeping its toolset and interface on par with its competitors. I like the ease of use.

Cons

The GoTo platform is getting a little cumbersome overall. We use Jive softphones which use the GoTo Connect app and the toolset can be kind of confusing to keep up with.

Good product for hosting meetings

Reviewed 4 years ago

Pretty good software for hosting meetings but no as easy to use as Microsoft Teams.

Pros

Allows for hosting large meetings. Able to provide a link to join via the web or provide a dial-in for phones. Allows screen-sharing.

Cons

Setting up meetings and some of the interface is not quite as intuitive as it could be. Sometimes meeting participants have been forced to download the application on their system rather than just joining via browser.

We've been using GoToMeeting successfully for nearly 10 years Now

Pros

It's easy to use once configured. We have several recurring meetings setup that we've been using for years, and for the most part, they require no support from IT. It's easy to use and just works for our team.

A good piece of software for screen sharing.

Reviewed 2 years ago

Join.me has been very effective in sharing screens with users who may not be literate using technology. Put simply, because join.me is so easy to use, novice users haven’t had an issue in using it.

Pros

I like how participants who you are sharing the screen with can join via URL, without having to install additional software. It works cross platform, meaning anyone anywhere can view the shared screen.

Cons

It’s pricey, and there could be more features. I feel as though Microsoft teams does it better, however teams does require installation and can be clunky to use on a mobile.

Cons

Great program for companies to use

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall it’s an excellent program to work on projects with my coworkers regardless of physical location. The calls are very clear and I love the share screen feature during calls.

Pros

It’s like Google docs mixed with GoTo Meeting on steroids! There is just so much that I can do with this software and with my coworkers.

Cons

I honestly cannot think of anything because the software offers so much.

Ms teams- The powerful tool in communication.

Reviewed 2 years ago

My overall experience with this software is good. I will recommend to all this software instead of goto meeting and other similar software because it is really easy to use.

Pros

The best feature of the ms teams is that we can easily share our screen to the client and if we have doubt in project we can discuss with them. Second thing, sometime we are unable to understand the accent of UK and US so we have the option to turn on the live caption through we can easily understand their thoughts.

Cons

All things are good in ms teams but the quality of audio is too bad. May be this is due to internet problem because ms teans required too much internet for the call.

I think its the worst video call software out there

Reviewed 3 years ago

It's been really bad. I woudl think that microsoft would have the best solution out there in online meeting software but its just an upgraded skype with all the problems it already had.

Pros

The most I like is that I can use it via web browser without installing anything. other platforms like goto meeting require installation of apps or downloading programs that I might not use.

Cons

I really have a lot that I dont like on this software 1. interface is like a washed down google meet 2. the connection is the worst I've had on any meeting software, if more than one user has an active camera the conference lags too much 3. to have other person present information or share screen is a nightmare because you have to modify lots of settings 4. audio quality? 4/10 The same group of people, on zoom have everyone with camera, but on teams everyone has to turn off their cameras or else we cant even talk.

Daily User of Microsoft Teams

Reviewed 4 years ago

As a project manager working remotely, I use Teams for an average of 4 to 5 meetings per day. Overall I really like this product (definitely better than GoTo Meeting or Zoom and as good as Google Meet/Hangouts).

Pros

It's easy to setup a meeting via Outlook and attach Microsoft Teams as the means to communicate. The software does a nice job highlighting who is speaking and allocates screen real estate (even on a 14" laptop) very efficiently. If you are already a user of Microsoft Office then this a good option for you. It's also very easy to quickly chat with someone or switch to giving them a phone call.

Cons

I can't figure out how to move the "features bar" out of the way when presenting. So my view of what I'm presenting or what someone else is presenting is blocked for a 1" x 6" section of the screen. Also, I'm not the one paying for this software (my company is), but it's definitely pricey - for example there is a per-user-one-time fee of $200 to enable me to give attendees the ability to attend via their phone (default is just using their laptop).

Microsoft Teams is the best collaboration app for chat, calls and all collaboration

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall this has been the best application that I have used compared to competitive products like Jabber, webex and Goto meetings

Pros

Best features that stand out is both individual and team collaboration along with meetings and Teams document and file sharing and integration with sharepoint. Screen sharing, Dial in options for meetings, Company directory integration, availability on browser and mobile apps, Integration with Outlook, etc to name a few. Transition from Jabber and Cisco Webex was easy.

Cons

There are a couple of instances where call quality could be bad or choppy. It would be nice to have a screen share option available through multiple devices when connected to a meeting using multiple devices.

Safe, secure and built for business Video Conferencing solution from Microsoft

Reviewed 4 years ago

Simple, easy and great offering from Microsoft for video or audio conferencing. It has modern features like virtual backgrounds which Google Meet lacks and it is robust too. The audio dial-in options from phone are amazing and cover a large list of countries. The downside is Microsoft is not marketing Teams enough and thus people are using other risky and may be over-hyped options like Zoom.

Pros

Teams is more secure and safe than the other new offerings like Zoom, Goto meeting, etc. It is also having more features than Google's offerings. It has background blur & ability to have virtual background. It may be familiar for people who had used skype- another Microsoft product. Meetings are easy to setup and easy to share links. The connection options are extensive especially the dial-in options from different countries.

Cons

It should have been integrated with Skype for business or should have been a part of it. Another new application from the same company is quite confusing. Further, there is low marketing from Microsoft's side, which tends to people choosing other risky solutions like Zoom.

Fair software

Reviewed 4 years ago

It is a fair software. Not used as much as some of the other meeting software platforms so people have to download.

Pros

It is scalable. The software has security features to allow privacy. Fairly easy to use and navigate.

Cons

Have had issues with video and audio on last meeting. We had to cancel that meeting and use another software to complete the meeting.

Virtual Meeting Platform

Reviewed 4 years ago

Microsoft Teams is being used for synchronous meetings and learning, and these sessions are being recorded and shared for asynchronous viewing.

Pros

I like that this platform is free for users and allows for recordings of meetings that can easily be saved and shared with others for asynchronous viewing.

Cons

When meeting invitations are sent via email I have not been able to save a Microsoft Teams meeting to my iCal on my phone from the meeting invitation.

Full featured conferencing software

Reviewed 3 years ago

MS Teams makes it very easy to quickly set up meetings with both internal and external (to your organization) attendees. Tight integration with Outlook is another very useful features and the meeting tools such as video conferencing and screen sharing leave nothing to be desired.

Pros

Integration with Outlook, smooth video conferencing, screen sharing, remote control of others screens.

Cons

Some Outlook integration issues: meeting link in body of meeting invite sometimes different from embedded link.
