What is Jamroom?
Jamroom is an online base system for building social networking sites focused around a topic. The main feature that separates it from its competitors is a heavy focus on the premise that all content lives on a profile and all pages that are not profile pages are there for the purpose of helping the user locate profiles they are interested in.
Rather than focusing on content primarily and the profiles secondary, Jamroom prioritizes the profile. Profiles are mini-websites within the system.
For developers of the system, it is highly extendable via the module system. Modules allow for transfer and adjustment of data at multiple override points before any page is rendered.
For designers there is a skin system that allows the data to be manipulated in a variety of ways. Designing a skin for Jamroom is more than just changing the colors, users can change how the site works.
