What is Instagram?

Instagram is a social media app which lets users share photos and videos from their smartphones, as well as like and comment on other users’ posts, send private messages, search for relevant content, and more. Users can view their feed from any web browser, but can only upload photos and videos through the native apps for iOS and Android.

Instagram includes a range of filters and editing tools which users can apply to their photos and videos before posting. The exposure, brightness, contrast, saturation, warmth, fade, and other aspects of photos can be adjusted, and users can also add text and drawings on top of their photos and videos. Up to 10 photos and videos can be published in a single post, and filters can be applied in bulk across a whole post, or to individual images. Videos can be shared with or without audio, and users can control which frame of a video is presented as the cover image. Captions, hashtags, and locations can be added to posts, enabling users to search for relevant content.

The Stories feature allows users to post photos and videos which are displayed at the top of their followers’ feeds, and disappear after 24 hours. Users can send direct messages to each other, containing their own photos or videos, text, posts from their feed, other users’ profiles, hashtags, and locations. Disappearing photos and videos can also be sent directly to other users, which can be viewed twice before they disappear.

    I use Facebook Business Suite and Instagram together mainly to streamline managing both platforms. I schedule posts, check insights, and reply to messages from one place, which saves time and keeps things consistent across both.

    FB Business Suite didn't work too good at first and was losing draft posts we would make. One day it just was fixed and worked better but still left us confused. Meta changes too much too often.

    By integrating with Facebook Business Suite, it allows creators and social media managers to manage postings of posts and IG stories easily with the power of scheduling posts.

    Fast communication and good integration between Facebook and Instagram, with a key point being the agility of creating ads for both on a single platform.

    We can make dual posts easily and quickly and get twice as much "bang for our buck" in terms of time spent.

    Some audience are best on Instagram's content platform only so it can seem like an uphill battle build community on Twitter.
