Q. What is Knit used for?
Knit is a Canadian full-service payroll and modern HR Solutions that offers tools for managing employee payroll, time off requests, employee records, and more. The cloud-based platform automates tasks such as payroll and time tracking in order to save time for HR teams. Designed specifically for small to medium sized businesses, Knit offers employee self-onboarding, tax calculations, direct deposits, electronic signature capture, and more, so that users can digitize their workflows and ensure compliance. Knit’s payroll features allow businesses and accounting firms to setup different pay groups, add custom deduction and income types, view historical payrolls, and run current payrolls. The entire payroll process can also be fully automated, and the Knit system is able to calculate source deductions, issue direct deposits, and generate and send pay-slip documents to employees. In order to facilitate HR workflows, Knit offers tools such as a searchable employee database, a team calendar, and employee profiles. Employees can make time off requests using the self service portal, and approval process and vacation policies can be defined within the system by management. Other features of the platform include employee onboarding, benefits management, communications management, and compliance management.
