What is Beyond Compare?
Beyond Compare is a synchronization software designed to help businesses compare files through merge view, script processor, and HTML comparison capabilities. It enables professionals to access file transfer protocol (FTP) servers, media devices, web distributed authoring and versioning (WebDAV) resources, and subversion repositories in real-time.
Beyond Compare allows users to simultaneously place and collate data in a variety of formats, such as text, tables, registry hives, images, binary files, and more. Administrators can use the application to combine changes from different versions of files into a single document, examine conflicts, accept or reject changes, and implement color codes to highlight a specific section. Using the built-in folder sync module, employees can automatically create data backups, manage websites, and synchronize data from disks, FTP servers, and zip files.
Beyond Compare facilitates integration with various version control systems via APIs to add check-in and out and undo checkout commands in the file viewer. The application also lets IT professionals automate recurring tasks using command line scripting and set up data synchronization schedules.
