With Equitrac Express, student print quotas can be set and automatically enforced. All documents throughout a district or campus printed are captured, reported, and costs are allocated. Payment for print jobs can be taken through cash, local network print accounts, campus card systems, and stored-value cards. PayPal capability and terminal data collection enable the tracking and recovery of print costs when network connections are unavailable. Secure document release aims to reduce unclaimed print jobs and materials waste, and protect confidential documents by requiring users to authenticate their identity at the printer to release print jobs. Equitrac Express also supports mobile release of print jobs through the mobile web function.

Equitrac Express's reporting capabilities include more than 100 activity, summary, and detail reports which provide insight into how multi-function printers are being used, allowing users to make informed decisions on equipment acquisition and deployment. Multiple printing rates can be created to charge for grayscale or color output, and duplex printing, and color printing can be limited to specific users or purposes.
