I can't even pull accurate reports, I informed the company of the issue over a year ago and they still haven't corrected it, so I can't pull accurate income or billable reports.

I am putting all the billing info in MyCase, including past and closed cases. But sometimes the client paid a late fee or something and it is super hard to add this info, because the payments must match the flat fee rate.

The biggest issue is the file size limitation that can be uploaded to a file (capped at 1GB).Another issue that I ran into was that if I logged into MyCase on another tab or browser, I would be logged out of the first tab/browser (meaning I couldn't have two open at the same time), which was frustrating when it came to doing some data entry.

Also, they are not responsive to client feedback, and when you try to leave they will not allow you to download your documents with their file numbers in bulk, but make you download one document at a time unless you pay them an additional fee.

It allows me to efficiently organize client files, track deadlines, and manage documents without having to switch between multiple systems.

It also makes sending bills and getting paid easy with LawPay integration, which allows the firm to collect and deposit funds into my Trust Account or Operating Account.  

I don't like their split billing process.   If I generate an invoice and split it between two people, and one person pays on the invoice and the other does not, I am not able to forward that invoice to the new invoice, and only bill the prior invoice to the one person who didn't pay.

Billing is also robust allowing for time tracking, invoice generting, direct billing, etc.

The best feature of MyCase is what drew me to this case management software initially: it gives users a brilliant way to record time entries and expenses.

They require accounting “onboarding” which is two steps, not the one step they promise, and each appointment takes a week to schedule (they only do those on Tuesdays and Thursdays, according to their calendar system).

MCase has helped me grow my smaller law firm and manage my client's cases more effectively -- merging timekeeping, billing and document management.  

It allows me to maintain a robust paperless practice, manage 200+ files at any given time, has a reporting scheme that (when admins are trained to use custom fields properly) can yield valuable conclusions, and allows me to make data-driven decisions for acquiring new cases.

Overall, MyCase has been a helpful tool for managing client information, tracking deadlines, and organizing case documents. While there are occasional glitches, the platform generally improves efficiency and keeps our workflow organized.

It has all of the features that I want to be able to keep track of client documents, communication, and billing.  

I like the option to bill clients with the built-in share option and that clients can make payments directly through the link in their invoice.

It helps me generate clear invoices that our clients can understand, and allows easy payments online, or by other means.

Collecting money from client is also pretty easy as LawPay integrates with the software and you can do things like setting up payment plans.

Sometimes small firms like myself have short term employees or turnover, so having to pay thousands of dollars up front and its non-refundable is really hard to manage.
