Pros

I have made a couple suggestions to improve the software and both changes have been made. Their customer support is outstanding.
I like the ability to easily communicate with staff and clients about their legal issues. The automation is very good and allows tasks to be done in half the time without automation.
Our firm uses this for EVERYTHING. I am very pleased with MyCase and will continue to recommend it to other firms.

Pros

Clio provides effective and easy invoice creation and it's quite secure. Additionally, its costumer service is just amazing.
Overall, the best time and billing software out there. I have demo'd several and Clio was the clear winner.
Functionality is nearly universal while specially and jusisdiction costomization is great. Easy law firm branding and pre sale marketing is brilliant.

Cons

The function to submit a question does not result in any feedback at all. The program is now getting glitchy and the newest update is just terrible looking and terrible functionally.
So, I always try to take the "oops, MyCase is no longer available" as a sign that I should stop working.
I am worried that quality will decline after the recent buyout.

Cons

My client started having trouble uploading her documents to me. Assignments went missing, and so deadlines were missed.
I hate when I am asked for instructions on setting up their client portal because I have no instructions to give them.
This is especially clear in light of its competition, Abacus or AbacusNext or AbacusLaw or whatever other evil derivative product they put out there which is all horrible in my experience.

I have used MyCase for about a year with a Law Firm I do some freelance work for. It is simple enough to use, but I have used others that I like better. The billing portion of the software works much better than the other 2 programs i have used in the recent past. Also I like that clients can upload documents to me through MyCase

Pros

fairly user-friendly. Billing software works better than most other case management software I have used in the last 5 years. Clients can also access it and upload documents needed for their cases.

Cons

I think the software needs to be updated to compete a little better with Clio or RocketMatter. Calendar is glitchy and there needs to be an easier way to get to specific matters

Pros

The MyCase software is easy to use and easy to integrate into an existing law practice. The software has all the features of any other major practice management suite, and there is continual improvement of existing features while new features are being developed and released at regular intervals. The support team is very responsive to questions and feature requests, and the Knowledge Base makes it easy to learn the functions of the software. The new mobile app is vastly improved as well. In my opinion, MyCase represents the best overall value out of any other practice management suite I've considered.

Cons

I would like to see the MyCase mobile app adopt more of the features & functions of the website, making it easier to perform management tasks "on the go" through your phone. Also, I would like to see MyCase provide more integrations with other software, such as RocketMatter and Clio already do, though MyCase does presently integrate with Google Apps/G Suite, Quickbooks, and Outlook.

Great software. Terrific help with migration and with tech support.

Pros

Clio works more smoothly than MyCase on many levels: the two-way integration with Microsoft 365 has been great. The mobile app works much better.

Cons

I am still getting used to the different processes in Clio vs. MyCase, but I am not concerned. The learning curve is not that steep!

The ease of use of the software is amazing. I was on MyCase and transferred over as I could not use TyMetrix on the other software. Highly recommended!!!

Cons

Nothing really. It is easy to use, and wonderful to work with. If anything, I think it's somewhat sterile, but overall, I have no issues with it at all.

Not worth the Hype

Our firm experience with Clio was frustration and amazement that other firms use this terrible software. I can not imagine the hours wasted at other firms using Clio. My paralegal had asked for the transfer to Clio based on what others use and was amazed at how difficult the transfer was, how terrible the sale team was, and how Clio does not automate documents or do decent invoicing. While the use of Grow for lead management was interesting the transfer of information between the two platforms (Grow and Manage) was marginal at best. Such a disappointment.

Pros

I was attracted to Clio because of the alleged number of users and positive reviews; my new paralegal asked for the change and I had used Lexicata before it merged with Clio so I thought the process to switch from MyCase would be easy. BOY WAS I WRONG. Although there were some Excellent customer support folks we spent hours at our firm trying to figure out the glitches before calling in. Our issues were only resolved 50% of the time. Thank goodness I didnt cancel my MyCAse subscription and promptly went back.

Cons

The sales team sells you the world. But they can not migrate documents properly or build usable forms. All of the invoicing and billing information in Mycase could not be migrated so 5 years worth of billing would have had to have been printed off or hand input into the new system. The interface between "Grow" and "manage" is clunky and unusable without repeatedly inputting information between the...

This is the fourth case management software I've used over the past year following Amicus, Time Matters, and MyCase. It is by far the best of the bunch. Easy to learn and use, great ios app and support, nicely integrated time tracking and billing, extensive third-party app integration, evolving feature offerings, and top notch customer service.

Document automation is slow and rudimentary.

Packed with features. There is just so much that can be done with this software that a firm might not have thought to do with some of the older software platforms. Cons

The only issue that we've had so far is personalizing the goals on the dashboard page. It would be nice to have a more granular and specific revenue analysis for each attorney. Granted, we are still implementing other more important features firm-wide, so this hasn't been the highest priority, and it's more of a luxury anyway.
