Salesforce user review

2019-01-15

Overall experience is neutral. It was good for reviewing information and leads but difficult when needing to use it with other systems.

Pros

I liked all of the options provided in salesforce used to organize leads.

Cons

For example, I was unable to use it with Mailchimp.

Impactful in driving sales and turning leads into customers.

2018-02-26

Pros

You can integrate it with gmail, calendar, mailchimp, and many other useful tools.

Cons

Price is not competitive for small business users. However, they offer a smaller plan for new users and they offer a free trial period as well.

Nice and Most fundamentally sound and customizable

2018-02-27

It is easy to use as an introduction to social media analysis and computational research.

Pros

We can integrate gmail, calendar, mailchimp, and many other useful tools.

Cons

The cost to integrate the application and redesigning is expensive, should give some free training to do or webinar.

The functionality is insane!

2019-03-07

I'm able to do a lot more A/B testing and receive analytical data through customer pathways and UTMs. Definitely a game-changer from what I was used to.

Pros

Going from Mailchimp to Salesforce was like going from a tricycle to the bicycle.

Cons

It takes a long time to set-up the functionality but once you do, oh the possibilities!

Good way to keep track of contents

2018-08-02

I use Salesforce to track marketing contacts. It is a good way to keep track of all correspondence. Running reports isn't easy, though.

Pros

I like that if you send a mailing in MailChimp, that you can have the product track the mailing here.

Cons

It is really hard to run reports easily.

We have a nonprofit account and use Saleforce to manage donor and sponsor contacts.

2018-02-28

A system to manage contacts and donations that syncs with the other administrative tools that we use.

Pros

The ability to sync with MailChimp. The ability to manage users with custom roles.

Cons

The ability to send mass emails is cumbersome. We have some users who are not tech savvy and they are intimidated with the user interface.

Integrates with so many useful applications

2018-06-10

Pros

It also integrates with applications like Slack and MailChimp making it easy to share information with your team and track contacts with the customer or client.

Cons

I don't have any complaints with the software. The only thing I don't like is the layout of some pages. Some look busy and other could use more information at a glance.

Powerful, but cumbersome

2018-11-02

It's an excellent software platform, but may be too much for smaller businesses.

Pros

The latest release of Salesforce has a very nice interface and is customizable to our workflow of sales.

Cons

The data pipes between SalesForce and many other tools (we use Cirrus Insights, ZoomInfo, MailChimp, and our web data capture) don't work as seamlessly as desired.

Great platform

2018-03-09

It's great that I can implement it with other platforms (such as Mailchimp) as well as our website so that everything is seamless and consistent.

Pros

Salesforce has the ability to customize a lot for each of our departments, making it so that no department has access to things that are unnecessary for them which reduces clutter. It's been a great platform that we have been able to use for many things internally to help with keeping our customer info organized and secure.

Cons

I do not have anything I do not like about Salesforce from my perspective and daily use. I am able to generate reports and successfully use it daily with my team. The only feedback I might have is that there is A LOT on the dashboard which can be quite intimidating to maneuver and use for some.

New to Salesforce

2017-02-17

We just added Mailchimp so that will be another program to learn too.

Pros

We had a problem and emailed for an answer which came right away. Lots of ways to do each task. Very forgiving when I want to change data.

Cons

Looks and feels very complicated because of the size of the program. Wish it had the lingo of a nonprofit.

Very powerful tool for marketing, when you can setup correctly

2015-04-27

Pros

Other thing that I like very much is the integration with MailChimp. I can get subscription forms in the website that can impact both Mailchimp and Salesforce and have SF and MC sync'ed every hour or so.

Cons

I prefere to use the marketing automation of MailChimp than SF, but both can be integrated and sync'ed.

Run a good assessment on what are your needs. I consider Salesforce to be a huge system and I wouldn't recommend it to smaller companies.

Pardot Review

2018-08-30

Hate pardot.

Pros

Salesforce is made to be a "one stop shop" for everything related to customer management. That's good.

Cons

My company switched from Mailchimp to Pardot in order to keep everything within one service.

Salesforce is great for mass marketing

2018-10-26

Overall my experience with Salesforce has been positive. As a Freelancer it's great because multiple companies use it so no matter where I work, I am always ahead of the game because I know Salesforce.

Pros

It works similarly to MailChimp. I like that it allows you to email people from different markets and give different markets different preferences.

Cons

The software is a little glitchy sometimes. That can use work. But it seems like it's a work in progress and they're always making improvements.

Powerful CRM Offers Lots of Functionality

2015-02-18

Pros

I teach childbirth education courses, and I like that I can link my childbirth education couples (and their babies) with their care providers, and the individual care providers with their company. MailChimp has also created a tool to integrate with my Salesforce database, which makes it easy to communicate with my contacts in Salesforce.

Cons

There is so much functionality that I don't yet understand. It feels like a huge, powerful program, and I've only scratched the surface. Sometimes I feel a little bit intimidated and overwhelmed by Salesforce's capabilities. I'm still new to Salesforce (and to CRMs in general), and while having a CRM has been crucial to helping me organize my contact information, there's a steep learning curve.

Recommendations to others considering Salesforce Sales Cloud

For me, it was really important to be able to integrate my CRM with my email program and my website. They all have to work seamlessly together to alleviate the administrative burden that I was starting to experience prior to purchasing Salesforce. I looked at a lot of smaller CRMs, but they didn't integrate with MailChimp or WordPress, which are the two programs that I was using. There was one other CRM product that looked really good to me, but the price was 10X that of Salesforce.

Hard software

2016-12-08

The cost was high when 1/2 of what this software can do you can do tracking on an excel sheet and also a free mail server like mailchimp.

Pros

Tracks lots of information

Cons

Too many options, too much tracking, not intuitive

A robust CRM that helps you manage your customers, track your performance and grow your business.

2018-07-31

A hub for organizing our customers and tracking our performance.

Pros

Outside of the native Salesforce capabilities is a massive app store called the appexchange that allows you to connect your environment with services such as MailChimp for marketing emails, DocuSign for executing contracts and more.

Cons

The customer service is bad. Unless you are looking to upgrade your account somehow or purchase a new product you wont be able to contact anyone. You can purchase the customer service package but it is an additional amount. The package allows you to contact customer support via phone - without it you will need to submit a ticket which sometimes takes over a week to resolve. In my opinion no one should have to pay extra to receive quality service for a product they own. Additionally, Salesforce offers customers the opportunity to request fixes/updates to the service and vote on top priority items. I've seen these items often times sit in the queue for 3-5 years. When it's a change that the majority of your customers are demanding there needs to be some priority to that! I think some advice I'd give to Salesforce is to do a better job at not only pushing out new products but ensuring that after they are pushed out they are continuously being monitored and improved , not abandoned. We purchased Pardot three years ago and found that to be a huge mistake because it seemed to be abandoned by Salesforce as the moved onto Marketing Cloud and other ventures. There have been no improvements to Pardot (a Salesforce product) in the last 3 years - it has remained exactly the same even with all of the suggestions provided by customers. We also tried Quip (a Salesforce product) and found it to be similarly undone so decided not to go down that road again.
