Overall experience has been great. Mainly due to the exceptional customer service. As with any change, we did experience some growing pains but in the end the system has proven effective.
Amplifund's features encompasses all of our desired functions for research, development, performance, reporting, and different ways to pull queries of grant information.
Sometimes the system runs a little slow. The search feature is not user friendly.

Overall the training and assistance our organization received before implementation was extremely thorough. We found the Amplifund team to be committed to finding resolutions, committed to ensuring we understood the training and committed to our organization's satisfaction with the platform. Post-implementation that has not changed.
The tool's expense tracking portion was our organization's main selling point, but tracking goals has been an added benefit when writing grant reports.
In the beginning, the expense importing was a bit challenging because of the system limitations of our accounting software. Integrating that software with the grant management tool would greatly help this often time-consuming process.

Tech support was not responsive. Their initial response was to always give you the instructions in their printed material even if you indicated that you had tried this solution and it had failed. Several time we described specific issues we had encountered and were told the software couldn't be doing what we were saying--deleting information on its own, changing currency values. The only functional piece of this software that really helped our agency was the application process. We had been doing paper applications and Amplifund did allow us to make this process all online and much more streamlined. We had some issues with reviewers not having the right permissions and having to call several times to get this resolved but this was a beneficial feature.
First the proposal and the sales people assured our agency that the specific functionality the we were require the software to have--mainly being able to produce a report which would include subrecipient expenses being rolled up into the parent grant budget reports. This was never available and we were promised that we would have this 2.5 years ago. Next we were told that the application we were...

AmpliFund has made audit preparations easier and ensures that we don't miss grant reporting deadlines. It is easier to run a report of active and pending grants and track annual grants over multiple years. Without AmpliFund, we were relying on spreadsheets and paper processes which took much longer and left too much room for error. The support staff of AmpliFund has been amazing and very responsive.
AmpliFund has allowed us to create a permanent grant record that multiple users can access. We depend on the workflow and tasking features to maintain compliance. This has allowed us to manage over 100 active grants with better consistency.
AmpliFund continues to build out their platform with more features. When we were building our grant management page, we had to conform to the template and then build out added features. This is helpful but isn't always the most user friendly for our departments to complete.

It has been great. It has made things like annual audits so much easier. It has likewise helped us centralize all of our grant documents.
Amplifund is a great tool to track grant applications, due dates, expenses, and many other grant-related tasks. Our organizations Grants Department is small, and AmpliFund has helped us expand our capabilities without having to hire additional staff.
It can take a while to get used to the system, even with training.

Not good.
It works in Windows. That's the best I can say about it.
The governmental entity that is our grantor (for 2 grants) required us to adopt this product for submission of reimbursement requests and actual expense v budget tracking. We were using Excel previously to submit our data and that worked just fine. I believe Amplifund was intended to make it easier for the grantor to combine expense data from different grantees but that never proved to be the case...

Before we used this system we tracked all our grants due dates by Excel and there was no budget info tied to it. Now we can manage everything from one site. I can print budget details for grant reports, which makes it much easier to manage.
Ability to track future grants, progress reports, final reports, and the budget and expenses through one program.
Additional charge for the Log In with SSO.

AmpliFund is the only truly purpose-built solution for grant management and reporting. This means only AmpliFund is capable of managing the data elements of grant management and reporting in an individual and granular fashion, rather than assuming that those data elements must be conveyed within a document-based forms. A federal pilot program using AmpliFund demonstrated that liberating the data elements...
The main drawback of a purpose-built solution is that it will have a steeper learning curve than solutions which simply duplicate the workflow of the paperwork that they replace. Users must start thinking in terms of data elements instead of forms.

This software did not do what was promised and continues to disappoint. Every update makes it more complicated to use, and their servers are too slow. I use other Grant Management software that function much faster and have customer support to solve your problems immediately, where as amplifund will have multiple tickets open that never get resolved, or will call me for a phone consultation, see the...

This provides a full grant cycle system, from application to post award closeout out; the configuration of the application is pretty intuitive; There is a ton of flexibility in the configuration of the applications.
There are some limits to the layers of information available to some users; the data tables that collate information behind the scenes are very complicated, and have a lot overlap so when querying out information for a report it is difficult to find the fields you are looking for; the custom reports feature was an additional cost that was not clear when we first signed on with Amplifund, rather, the "ability" was there when we asked these questions.

There is nothing I like about this problematic application
These features are poor: user set up - finicky, reporting is not flexible, negotiating a draw back and forth is not possible, inefficient, troublesome product, zero intuitiveness, ZERO Support

Amplifund was used to provide us with a centralized grant repository of information and materials for our highly decentralized organization!
AmpliFund has greatly enhanced our ability to research, pursue, and track grant documentation and details as an institution. In the past audit compliance was a challenge, with key documents and information scattered across an array of spreadsheets, emails, and individual file folders. With AmpliFund’s simple interface and great organizational tools it is all now housed in one central point, our auditors loved it!
The document management component could be clunky as an interface at times.

See above - it was a very easy & constructive working relationship with the Streamlink team.
I had the pleasure of working with the Streamlink team a few years ago on a pilot program with the U.S. Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board. We needed to collect information on existing grant programs with non-profits, and Streamlink provided access to the exact audience we needed. The software was easily configurable to meet our needs, and the Streamlink team could not have been easier to work with.

Prior to Amplifund we were trying to track all of our grants via shared Excel spreadsheets. Amplifund far outweighs that antiquated method and is a great way for Sr. Leaders in our organization to check in and run reports as well as for all of us writers to be in the know on the life cycle of grants
