Pros

Great customer support, the implementation team took good care of us and answered our questions quickly and efficiently. They were patient and gave clear explanations.
Great reporting capabilities. Customer service has been amazing and our implementation specialist has been a dream to work with.
Secondly, the support we get from the team is outstanding. Rep has been available to resolve issues and any and all tweaking is possible to do with ease with him.

Pros

It is really great at helping us track our costs and meet our delivery standards. It connects natively to Shopify which is a big bonus and helps us pull for our orders more efficiently.
It's great to be able to log in on any computer without having to install software, and it's done an amazing job of keeping our inventory tidy and up-to-date.
We ran into a few hiccups at the beginning and the support team was very responsive and helpful in helping us remedy our issues.

Cons

Stock sync is a mess, keeps zeroing out our Shopify stock. Uploading from Cin7 to Shopify is impossible, we tried and lost all our store listings took 5 days to re-enter the data.
Zero compensation for lost data which was only one of the issues with bugs.
9 months on, and still no end in sight to the implimenttation process, with one team member blaming another, or a different department being the common issue.

Cons

It's still relatively young product and there are few features missing here and there.
A drawback is the inability to track shipping supplies, leaving those to be manually tracked for replenishment.
I've been working with manufacturing businesses for years, and for years I've lamented Xero's relatively weak inventory management system.

Cons

Cin7's user interface is not the most aesthetically pleasing or streamlined (somewhat cluttered and clunky compared to our previous inventory and order management software, Stitch Labs), but I'll take the superior functionality and flexibility over form.

We are extremely happy with our CIN7 experience so far (about 9 months). Previously we had found inventory management systems trying to do too much generally did nothing well. So when we decided to change we were initially looking for something simpler in the hope we could find something that would at least do the basics very well. After trialing Cin7 we were surprised but also a little hesitant...

Pros

The system is reliable, easy to use, has advanced features, has a fairly straight forward API, and the CIN7 support has also been very helpful. They actually want to set you up and get you using their system properly (whats the point of having all these features if you dont know how to use them).

Cons

No off the shelf system is without its flaws as each business is different. For us we would like the manufacturing module built out for more high volume manufacturing, at the moment its a bit boutique. 'Kitting' is also a bit underdeveloped.

Cin7 is an extremely detailed and well thought out system - and works wonders for our business compared to our previous inventory management. The onboarding process was made extremely easy and simple by the staff, who were available at a moments notice, and provided TeamView tutorials which we can look back on when there is confusion. CIN7 was easy to implement into our Techstack, When placing orders on CIN7 it was made with ease. But CIN7 only works with small to mid-level businesses. If your company continues to grow, You will grow out of CIN7.

Pros

CIN7 works excellently as a Sales Tool, CRM, and Order Management software when connecting your eCommerce platform. it is excellent for Small businesses looking to get a grip on a more enterprise-level Inventory Management system.

Cons

CIN7 works great for a company not focused on manufacturing and just distribution. Due to CIN7 not being able to Commit stock for Backorders. Also not being able to have a Barcode System is a negative aspect.

Reasonably stable back end. Good cross section of modules, Sales, Inventory, CRM, Manufacturing, Purchasing and interface into Xero. Great Wholesale pricing flexibility. Recently interfaced into Shopify to get off their B2B platform and works well.

Cons

The product is lacking development as most of the development seems to be into interfacing into other channels. POS system is very poor. B2B site has a lot of issues.

Great System with potential to take over the ERP market by storm

In general, Cin7 ticks all the boxes of ERP system requirements for my business. I have never imagined that I can find a cloud ERP to start a new business or make business process changes in literally one week. I can hardly think any circumstance that any retail business or wholesale business would not be able to switch to Cin7 from traditional costly ERP system with limited functionality. However, there are a few glitches in the system, such as decimal point issue in UOM, inconsistent retail promotion matrix between sales order & retail POS. Looking forward to the new release with those problem fixed.

Pros

End to end retail & wholesale business management. Integration to PC-EFTPOS, Xero and other more.

Cons

Limited payment portal integration in POS interface, glitches in the system around UOM decimal point and inconsistent promotion matrix across the 3 channels: POS, Sales Order and B2B website

The best omnichannel inventory and order management system we've found

We're very happy with Cin7 overall. We were ready to graduate from a simpler inventory and order management system that didn't support our manufacturing processes and had no integration with our accounting software. Cin7 has thankfully done the trick. If we hadn't found Cin7, we likely would've had to go with NetSuite or something like that, which is both significantly more costly and more complicated to integrate. I would highly recommend Cin7 for businesses with multiple sales channels and relatively straightforward sourcing/manufacturing processes.

Pros

- Supports B2B and B2C channels well, including integrated sales channels (Shopify, BigCommerce, multiple Amazon marketplaces, etc.), manual order entry, and EDI. - Accurate inventory management across multiple warehouses and sales channels. - FIFO inventory and manufacturing cost tracking from raw goods through processing/assembly and finished inventory. - Supportive, knowledgeable staff to help with scoping, implementation, and rollout.

Cons

- Account manager/implementation reps are attentive and helpful, but when something has to get escalated to Support, they are at times slow to respond and address issues. However, they are thankfully quick if something is urgent and business-critical. - There are a lot of details to learn how to use the software correctly, and unfortunately there is not a great way to learn these best practices. I liked the fact that the software took into account the entire retail & manufacturing environment. It's ability to integrate into any outside software package and it is a cloud based system. Soup to nuts. In addition the Cin7 understanding and support was top notch.

A solid inventory management system

Cin7 is so far great for our small retail and eCommerce business, it certainly helps with the basics of managing inventory, sales and integrates with accounting. The onboarding experience was helpful despite lots of hiccups to get it up and running fast, but overall think it does a great job at providing the capabilities it does for the price they offer.

Pros

Runs fast, integrations work clean, relatively intuitive once you understand the concepts. Once the foundations are set, then it really does a good job as an EDI at the core of the business.

Cons

Missing some advanced features that are missing for certain manufacturing processes that just aren't there. It can be clunky and there are surprisingly a lot of crashes. An update in the UI would be much needed to reach today's standards. Onboarding is pricey, so best to make the most of it.

Fantastic Support

Built in apps which are ever expanding made integration easy. 3PL and Xero apps were what made us choose this software.

Pros

Cin7 Support is second to none which made implementation and integration a breeze. Moving away from an all in one ERP system Cin7 was an easy choice that ticked all the boxes for E-Commerce, POS, 3PL and integration with Xero.

Cons

The only minor issue was a CSV upload imported some codes as scientific data/date format. Mathew Cho from Cin7 support fixed this and was a pleasure to deal with.

Expensive, comprehensive but slightly cumbersome

We had real issues with clients managing their stock levels, movement of stock, manufacturing of goods, and warehouse management. We moved several clients onto CIN7 and it does the job very well. We can have a stock figure live, online any time of the day or night.

Fully featured software. They really have thought of every eventuality and cater for it. There are so many things you can do with this software.

It's so big and bitty that it doesn't feel good or easy to use. It is stable and reliable but doesn't feel that way. It has so many features that it's really difficult to set up and not that easy to learn to use. It's not the most intuitive software.

Excellent company and product - we could not operate our business without them

We highly recommend CIN 7 for any size organization. It is critical to the back end operations of our Inventory, Warehouse, Purchase orders, accounting, Internet sites, B2B site and manufacturing facility. It saves us time and money and allows us to compete with the services and efficiencies of much larger organisations. Very affordable, reliable and great service. Spiros

Excellent Product & Stellar Customer Service

Before using Cin7, we could not accurately get the big picture look at our inventory due to our nuanced manufacturing process. Now, with the help from Cin7, we know exactly what our inventory looks like from many different angles. The setup process was complicated because our products are so customizable, and Cin7 made the setup, data migration, and launch astonishingly pain-free.

Pros

As a robust retail business with a very complicated inventory offering, this product excels at making it easier on our team to operate on a day-to-day basis. The complex manufacturing side was challenging to figure out, but with the help of the incredible Customer On-Boarding team, we got everything figured out. Maxlight Cin7 Integration

Cin7 meets the needs of our Business, we have used this platform across 5 different businesses. Our knowledge will continue to grow on how to best operate Cin7. We signed up for premium support to assist with API integration for another part of the business group which was very successful

Pros

As a project based business we have found Cin7 simple to setup and run while providing us the tools to manage the business, it has direct integration with Xero our accounting software. We can track and import product, warehouse locally and remotely, control purchase orders, sales order and invoices. We also use Cin7 to assist with local manufacturing , production jobs are key to this, we can also buy components overseas and ship to and overseas manufacturer and control all components and roll up landed costs

Cons

Some of Cin7 warehouse functions are not as sophisticated as other software, namely cycle counting and and total location bin transfers.( only be component) Also a planning and scheduling module would be a welcome addition. We have had problems with the imbedded exchange rates on purchase orders causing stock valuation errors

Fantastic Product, Especially at its Price-Point

Cin7 has helped us streamline our business, identify shortfalls, and helped us to leap into where today's technology is operating at vs. our previous, DOS-based software.

Pros

SAAS is huge for us. It's available whenever and wherever we need it since it works offline. We're using it for purchasing, inventory management, creating orders at our customers locations, fulfilling the orders in warehouse, then delivering. Although we're hacking the POS module to function as our order taking module, we've been able to work with the support time to accomplish what we need to keep...

Cons

Given we're on the most affordable plan, the support is challenging given we don't have a dedicated rep. So the onus is on me to be dilligent in getting our issues resolved. That said, whenever I've pushed, Cin7 has been there to help us find the solution. The fact we're "hacking" the POS module to be an order taking module is a con, but again, that's us being frugal and not wanting to invest in an ERP.

Great software with a lot of potentials , terrible set up & support

I truly want to love the software but it is still a fairly-new developing software. Their built-in EDI integration is very questionable as it depends on who was assigned to do your set up. I would not recommend Cin7 to a moderated or complex business setting.

Pros

API integration with Ecommerce shopping cart such as Shopify & Esty is great and seamlessly. Customized report is a powerful tool and Cin7 came with many great functionalities for a light ERP system. My second onboarding specialist, [SENSITIVE CONTENT], is amazing, always responsive and willing to help. My 3PL integration engineer, [SENSITIVE CONTENT], is wonderful. He has been the rockstar who not only helped us with building our integrations, but also help resolve many issues that other people created and/or cannot help!

Cons

There were many hiccups started with our sale person who messed up our monthly bill and did not even get our Company Name correct! Other problems such as Cin7 does not work with multiple tracking # in one order, BOM components does not get shipped with BOM parents, etc. I had to continuously chase and escalate different work arounds with their team to get things moving. One of few inventory systems with a light manufacturing feature

Pros

It is one of few inventory management systems that actually has a light manufacturing feature. While this does still need some work we're happy to have the essentials in place now and have our system as it were 'all in one'. We had Chandni on for our testing phase after implementation and she was extremely helpful in testing and helping us find solutions and customizations that we needed. They continue to develop more features as time passes. The webinars and videos are also very useful for people just jumping on board but, as they are a new feature there aren't many yet. B2B website is useful.

Cons

Initial implementation process needs a lot of work. It is on the more expensive side. It would be useful to have a live chat for when I need a quick answer for a small question after testing and implementation.

Great ERP System for Tracking Inventory that Seems Rigid in its Customization

Build Of Materials Tracking

Pros

Cin7 is used daily at our company. The cloud based ERP system is very effective in tracking our inventory through all stages of the production cycle using a simple to use Build of Materials option. The system is able to break down raw materials into base components and then build them back again into sales orders, effectively tracking each component we sell and not just a final product, saving us a great deal of time and effort in tracking down operational costs. Great Experience with Integration. Our company uses software like Quick Books and cloud based platforms such as Shopify. Both integrate seamlessly with Cin7.

Cons

While configuration is pervasive throughout the application, customization options are limited and rarely extend beyond the original design constructs.

If XERO is "beautiful accounting software" Cin7 is "beautiful ERP software". The ability of Cin7 to manage the end to end of process of purchase, manufacture, and sales of Product is unsurpassed, especially at the price you pay for it! One of the best elements of "the implementation process" (always the tricky bit) is the accessibility and knowledge of the "onboarding" team. You get a dedicated Project Manager who patiently walks you through each step of the process. Having come from the "big end" of IT, with all its rigmarole and Professional Services costs, Cin7 is a breath of fresh air !!

A tad challenging for beginner users, to get used to all the steps if not experienced in a process driven system
