I have a rough business plan but the process of building has been tedious. I tend to let it sit for a long time (which I know I shouldn't do) because I feel unmotivated to tackle the areas I struggle with aka SWOT. (I like that it helps me organize my objectives and key milestones into a digestable map I feel confident with. It also inspires more structured thinking around my vision and mission.

I can't say it's been super intuitive to use. When I started I was a bit unclear how it was using the information to support my need for a business plan. It felt like it was just asking me to write down my ideas, mission, etc and then not produce anything with it beyond that. For me, I already know the frame of my company; I'm looking for platform to help me refine areas that need more attention. I didn't get that.

Comprehensive tool that is great for fleshing out new business ideas and for writing detailed businesses plans.

Slight learning curve mostly regarding functionality of each section of the system.

I liked that he helped me figure out how much money I could potentially make.

.That the free trial only came witha couple things unlocked I did everything and got to the last step and couldn’t see the actual projections just a few things.

I loved that he didn't bother me with unnecessary details. I'm working on my budget plan and I have a lot to think about. In IdeaBuddy I only enter the necessary data and save time. Working with percentage in budget planning+++

There are too many blocked sections while in the trial version. I cannot act as freely as I would like regarding the date when entering expenses in the budget section. I didn't understand what the restriction was based on.

I love the way it structures together all the needed pieces for a non-professional to produce a respectable business plan.

I absolutely love IdeaBuddy because it's like having a one-stop-shop for all my business planning needs. The thing that stands out the most is how it simplifies everything, from strategic analysis to financial modeling. With its user-friendly interface, I can easily create budgets, forecast future earnings, and even customize reports to fit exactly what I need. It's like having a personal business advisor right at my fingertips, helping me make informed decisions and stay on track for success.

While IdeaBuddy is undoubtedly a powerful tool, there are a few areas where it could improve. One aspect is its market research capabilities. While it provides valuable insights into financial planning and business strategy, it could benefit from more robust features for gathering competitor details and market trends. Additionally, enhancing its integration with external data sources could further enrich its analysis capabilities and provide a more comprehensive picture for decision-making.

It helps to summarise the idea of a person without experience. It's easier to fill out the forms and to think about the idea.

Trial is quite short. It would be great to be able to share the idea with friends.

As co-director of a small business, most of our time is spent bringing in the business and doing the doing. With the best intentions in the world, planning rapidly and regularly moves down the priority list. However, whilst we're still not perfect, IdeaBuddy has made the whole process incredibly simple and easy for us.

What's not to like? If I could change one thing, it would be to include collaborators in the free version.

Easy to set up, really understand plan. I like that you can copy plans, share plans. So many great intuitive features including syncing with business model canvas.

Non functioning formulas on excel export. This is not investor facing.

Very useful for start-ups and new projects in existing companies. Very friendly as well for SMB consultants. I'd just recommend multilingual UI for the platform.

Not multilingual. Spanish is critical for our customers.

The ease of use and the ability to create multiple ideas with premade templates. It even has an idea score to rate your ideas.

I am big on the Blue Ocean Strategy as it is at least the bridge from strategy to brand implementation for me. It just goes hand to hand.

Everything is given to you in manner that you don’t have break your head it’s really that simple.

The design of the canvass is more informative than the regular canvasses on the market. This canvas leads you through all the necessary information to get you going and to keep coming back to be sure you are staying focused.

At this time I feel the product is feature rich and doesn't need much more. Less is more and feature creep can be the downfall of a good basic product. Perhaps there could be access to more resources to help with each of the categories!

I started with the free trial and continued on with a subscription. This has been a valuable tool in building my business plan and outlining and organizing my ideas for the company. I like that the business plan is thought-provoking in the items it captures. I also like that it will synthesize this into a complete and shareable document.

The web-based platform needs to be optimized for tablets and smartphones. Some of the features are not ideal in these settings. Currently I do not own a laptop/desktop so this is sometimes an inconvenience.

The Financial Plan tool is what I appreciate most about the software. It has the ability to create multiple-year financial projections and make adjustments by year. I also love the design style. It's user-friendly and even cute! I look forward to logging on and noodling around on IdeaBuddy because every time, I discover new possibilities for my business. Previously, I was using book-keeping software for financial projections, a business planning software for my strategy and pitching to investors, and a project management tool for my ideations. Now I can integrate them all in one place and even run different specs on multiple project ideas!

On the Founder plan, the limit is 3 ideas, which is a challenge for an entrepreneur/artist like myself. Yet doubling my monthly fee to upgrade to 30 projects doesn't make sense for me either. I have various arms to my business and would like to be able to create more projects without having to delete projects or upgrade.

I have not encountered any issues. So far so good

User-friendly and sleek design. Makes want to work on my projects. I find useful to have different ways to see the information since I like visual formats and my teammates like more descriptive documents.

I am waiting for the validation area of this product. I think this is something very useful for starups to follow up on their experiments and have all outcomes in one place.

Product is very user-friendly and easy to use and I like it that it gives you two options to develop your idea - one standard in the form of a BMC and second through the story mode. While I find business model set-up necessary to write all the parameters down, I found Story Mode even more useful as my business idea is client-orientated so this option helped me imagine through which possible steps clients will go.

I wouldn't say I found any cons, rather it is something that confuses me - When creating a new idea you can either choose from pre-configured Business set-ups or create your own and when choosing between these two option I would wish to have a bit more explanation what each one of these two options will give me.

I love how this tool guides you through the entire business plan journey, rather than making me create endless google docs with convoluted sections. It's simple, pushes you along in a very supportive way and asks you the questions that really stress test an idea to ensure it's a good one. Literally everything is covered, from market research and competitor analysis to SWOT and PEST, with many other sections in between. Once you complete one, it's off to the next one, in a really fun and simple way. The overall report is great for internal company use, but also fantastic to give investors.

Nothing so far, as it delivers what it says it does. Future ideas could include a 'resource centre' that shows all the tools entrepreneurs use to bring their ideas to life, as this would help newbies making their plans.

I have business ideas all the time and I write most of them down but rarely take action beyond that. With IdeaBuddy I can quickly explore my idea and evaluate it. I keep working on those that look promising and discard bad ideas. I am impressed with the level of detail and depth of guidance of this product. I used different business planning software before but this is different- combines cutting edge latest frameworks (business model canvas) with essential business planning tools (financials). So awesome!

If is a comprehensive tool and it takes a bit more time to fully develop the idea then I would want to invest sometimes. But that’s also a good filter for ideas - tests how passionate you really are about an idea.
