Pros

Jobber is fairly easy to use once you've had it for a while. They payment integrations are fantastic and the workflow from quote to job completion is great as well.
Very easy to use and was very simple and makes time management more effective. Was great in keeping up with clients and schedules.
I like how easy it is to store all my appointments and photos and everything all in one place. It is easy for all my coworkers to share also.

Pros

My customers are also super happy because HP tells them when something is scheduled and allows them to interact with us. More engaged clients mean happy clients that may spend more.
I love this software, I cannot thank the pros at housecall enough for introducing me to this product. The fee is very affordable and it has everything that I need to run my business daily.
I just like the ease of use and the organization of it. Keeps me organized and helps me accomplish more.

Cons

They are in Canada and the delay on their phone system is frustrating. I got dropped 2x and asked the guy to call me back from his cell phone and he said he wouldn’t.
The mapping system is TERRIBLE AND IT only allows you to reset the route two times a day.
Is technology costly or something. It is MAPPING and we may need to do it more than twice.

Cons

They utilize a chat bubble on their website for support and have little to no way of escalating a problem to speak with someone. The implementation of new features comes fast and furious.
We reluctantly renewed for one more year because of the hassle of yet another transition, and I can certainly say it has proved to be a mistake and regret.
When your account ask for that information you will not be able to provide that to them. You will eat that loss on your tax filing.

Pros

It's a good software that works for me and I have to work with it. Scheduling, reminders, easy to use. Cost is on point

Cons

Mobile app can be more user friendly, Billing has many holes. Can't accept multiple invoices at once and can't take half cash and have a credit card. Ok reporting but could be better. Doesn't shows an audit on each account like housecall pro. I like to know who did what with my customer account. But housecall pro can't offer multiple property Management houses like jobber does.

It is alright and I will definitely be sticking with another company.

Pros

It is an alright software. I believe pestroutes or housecall pro would be a better option. It may be one of the cheaper ones but it doesn't mean it'll function better.

Cons

It's quality and look doesn't look very appealing. It's edgy and should upgrade from where it is at.

Jobber Customer Support Employees Deserve a Raise

Pros

Jobber definitely has a learning curve. Any time I have ever had a question, though, Jobber support has been ULTRA helpful. Now that I am comfortable with the software, I love it. The setup makes it so easy to see what needs to be done so I don't miss anything, and the step-by-step process makes quoting, scheduling, and invoicing very streamlined.I find myself going "Oh, cool, Housecall Pro wouldn't let me do that" often.

Cons

The top two main concerns are issues with multiple contacts under a profile and calendar colors. I have no way of knowing what phone number/email goes to who, and I have up to 7 numbers under some of our commercial accounts. I need to be able to custom label numbers/emails other than "Work, Mobile, Home" Calendar colors is the only thing I miss from Housecall Pro. I could enter the HTML color code which made it so much easier to tell people apart on the calendar. While I'm at it, I'd like to be able to click and drag things at 15 minute intervals instead of 30 minutes; that would save me so much time.

Pro: reasonable priced Con: doesn't fit my industry perfectly, so you have to think outside the box. But very easily adaptable to many industries. Pro; can stab updates and add ons. Con: improvements that have been made are nice, but there are a lot of improvements that can be made that are recommended by users that seem to be put on tha black burner Pro: I love the program

Rip off for the price

Customer service was great when i had the Core subscription, as soon as i downgraded, it was like i was not worthy of their time. Poor customer service overall and very expensive product.

Pros

the ONLY pro about this is during the free trial when you get all access to everything. other than that...read my cons section.

Cons

If you could batch export invoices that would be amazing but you take all these basic features away as soon as the user goes to LITE addition without even stating you lose almost all features of this software. even paying your ridiculous price for the LITE version is not worth it! Have to be a big multi million dollar corporation to afford this software. Using the Core service was great at discounted price but when it shoots to $75 CAD a month for what is still basic service, its a rip off. Lowering my service to save costs to LITE addition gives you absolutely no features of this software.

Pros

Easy to use and learn. I can get my new people singed in and using the app very quickly and within a few days they are using it like a pro

Cons

Does not handles overtime very well. Also, when we receive a partial payment it still shows the total invoice amount on reports

Trial Period not honored

Was a poor experience based on undisclosed trial periods and refusal to honor the 14 day trial.

Pros

I will say that when I reviewed this software, it appeared to be easy and have some of the scheduling functions we were looking for. I believe that House Call Pro has better scheduling than them.

Cons

My complaint with this company is that when I enrolled I told them that I was looking at multiple companies because of the features that we needed. They say that they offer a 14 day free trial, however when I went to cancel on my 13th day, they said that they would not refund my payment because the sales rep provided a discount (even though) the rep said that they were providing the discount because I was referred to them from another contractor. They said my trial period was waived because of that discount. He explained that he sent the terms of conditions AFTER I enrolled. The software did seem simple but the the experience was misleading. I never used the software once.

BUYER BEWARE - the customizations for the Jobs and Client Form are lacking. I signed up for a yearly subscription encouraged by the videos BUT Between the spring rush of mulch jobs and starting off the season, I was at 21 days before realizing this issue and Jobber IS HOLDING MY MONEY HOSTAGE and will make over $2k off of me as a customer who has not and cannot use their solution. We have not run...

Pros

The structure is there is you do not need customizations, but the ability to tune the nobs behind the curtain is lacking.

Cons

They are not pro small-business. When I realized the customizations I needed did not exist or would have to be jerry-rigged together I let them know we could not proceed and they have held my money captive over it.

Cons

This team is VERY unresponsive to feature requests. Basically, if you have a feature need they'll all but let you know that they are not interested in hearing about it. Simple things like being able to mark all tasks as complete are not available and when I requested it I was brushed off. I have been asking, for years, for a way to link Jobber to external "form builder" software so that when a user requests a quote from my website it shows up in Jobber. Hasn't happened. Also having to move an employee to "Pro" jsut so they can use the timesheet feature is just stupid.

The Best Software for Running a Service Company

I've used other Software and Apps, such as Jobber, and found that this one is the best overall for our company. And most of all, their customer service & support is by far the best - always available and helpful.

Pros

The combination of feautures and integrations is what is most valuable to me. QB integration, Scheduling, Reports, Online Booking, Phone App, Customers can sign to approve estimates through an email link, Invoices sent directly to Customer from the software and are paid by Credit Card...to name a few.

Cons

The Calendar can be tough to use if you have multiple visits per day. I'm forced to use the "week" view to manage it. Whereas I prefer to see the entire month and manage it from there.

Pros

It's relatively easy to use. I can schedule an estimate, then convert it to a job once approved, send the invoice and even take payments through the website/app

Cons

The online scheduling option seems like it could be a good feature, but our company doesn't use it much and the times we have used it, the emails just got lost or customers selected the wrong responses which led to confusion. Scheduling a job that takes multiple days is also a bit of a nuisance. We switched from Jobber, and they were so easy to schedule a multiple day job.

Good product but somethings are counter intuitive.

Pros

I like the user interface the most. I haven't really had the chance to use most of the features yet because I have not hit my season yet. I own a holiday lighting company. Currently I am just sending estimates and invoices for deposits.

Cons

The thing I like least is that it is a crazy process to collect deposits. I have to create a new job segment, then discount the original invoice, and then because I created a new job segment, I have useless item on my schedule. Which is annoying. Jobber has a very simple deposit system where you click a box that says "required deposit" you put a percentage and it automatically creates separate invoice and updates the job.

Awesome and so pleased with HouseCall. I switched from Jobber about 8 months ago or so and am so pleased with HouseCall. All of the features are amazing and are very user friendly. Very easy to use and navigate. I love the SMS and email notifications, the mobile APP, and how the customer is notified of who (by name and picture) is coming to the property. The Marketing options with email and automatic postcards are awesome as well. I would say the biggest feature though is the Customer service....these guys are spot on!

Drastically falling apart for long term user!

6 years ago it was good and slowly it has become more of a pathetic program based on the value for your dollar as a small business owner. The customer support is the worst in any company that I have ever seen. The longer your with them the worse you will be treated. If you do not upgrade with the growing cost of the company. You will be left behind on there older model app. Small business owners do...

Overall I use to like it 6 years ago and now it is crap.

Cons

Customer support is by far the worst. Price point is horrible too.
