Pros

The Maintenance Connection support team is wonderful. They help you get to the solution you need and they don't nickle and dime you with extra charges like some of their competitors.
It is one of our most comfortable applications to keep track of equipment inventories, fix maintenance, with an excellent graphic interface that allows the best management of the program.
I like the ease of use and how it helps keep track of our assets. We know when to update or maintain certain parts and what should be replaced.

Pros

After research, focused on Limble and was immediately impressed. We watched their series of videos and within a week, had created the assets and PM schedules and were up and running.
For me the ease in which we could set this up was great. I'm old school and like paper, so this was new your me to have and it was so ease to use that I can't believe it took me so long to get it.
I especially love the accessibility of having it on my phone. As a manager always on the go, it is so easy to communicate with my crew when there is a work order that needs taken care of immediately.

Cons

After a year of frustration and complaints not only by our department but, by users putting in requests, I was given the task of researching other software vendors.
There have been a couple times this program has locked up on me and lost my data on the page I was working on at the time of freeze.
Attachments can be lost or non-accessible. Archive folder not functioning, so can not refer to any history of repair or service to preventative maintenance scheduled work orders.

Cons

No more heaps of paper and losing hours looking for info from piled stationery.
There is no offline version, for it to work you have to be online - something i am sure they are working to do though.
The mobile app can be difficult to use when starting out.

Pros

This is more competitively priced than other CMMS. It has a barebones interface which does make it easier to use than others.

Cons

This was the least stand out of all the CMMSs that I tried for the company. The intereface was unattractive and didn't have many of my requirements. It's striped down for needs other than mine.

I love the Purchase Order and Asset products. I use the P.O. section everyday, and I love how easy it is to find an old P.O. or print out the backup for that P.O.

Cons

Sometimes its hard to tailor CMMS to our company's guidelines or standards. We seem to have a rounding issue, and sometimes the tax rate isn't correct.

I love the simple interface the crews use to enter data - TWC. I love the Asset Spec section - flexible and easy to expand. The ability to write rules adds even more flexibility and work automation to the software. Attaching more than one asset to a work order and the ability to use data hub is very important to us. The ability for procedures to update asset specs is another biggy

Cons

The integration with GIS...it's weak. Reporting could be improved we are now using BI to pull data from Asset Specs - Qlik Sense The process of adding more than one asset needs to be improved Enter time needs to be more flexible - more fields

Completely recommend MC as a CMMS software. Help support needs to come up the learning cureve more quickly and perhaps hire more people.

Pros

Many features which allows a diverse application across different project sites regarding our company structure. User friendly, reporting is excellent

Cons

It appears that MC is suffering from growing pains as customer support has fallen off in recent months with the addition of new inexperienced help support. The support personnel prior to 6-8 months ago still provide great support. The newest additions need more training as far as MC configuration is concerned. They need to know when to escalate a problem further up the ladder vs. trying to figure it out on their own and wastefully spending the customers time. Also, some of the follow-up on support issues seems to be taking a long time. some instances are requiring us to follow-up after 2-3 weeks only to find out that the issue has fallen off the priority list.

Steve, thank you for your feedback. You are correct that our newer staff require some time to ramp up - especially when working with customers who've been using MC for as long as you have. Appreciate your patience as we're rapidly working to expedite the training process for our new members of the support team.

Overall MC's CMMS is a great application and their team is always quick to respond to questions/requests. Keep up the good work MC!

Pros

The greatest feature of MC is their Reports and more specifically Smart Reports. Other Pros includes: MC's support is usually less than a 1 day turnaround for most issues. MC always has a solution for our requests/customizations Auto Assignment and Notification Rules Consistently Improves System with version upgrades

Cons

Weak Key Module Currently does not offer shift scheduling (they will in 6.0!)

MC ( Maintenance Connection) not good for big company because it's a cloud base CMMS software and I think this is the MC weakness because after a short time of use, the browser cash is full and the software can't work correctly, after this the value will show in MC-CMMS is not correct and finally you can't log-in in the software befor you clear the browser cash and history.

Pros

It,s easy to use in home page and Most feature Accessible in home page. It's fast to login and loading.

Cons

You can login with one user in multi system, but not support remote assistant. Good for small company.

Maintenance Connection is a very flexible product and can be adapted to your work processes pretty easily, unlike many other CMMS products that force you to do things their way. The support staff has been very helpful in aiding us with both complex and simple issues.

Cons

The only complaint I've had with MC has been the required use of IE as a browser, and that issue will be fixed with the upcoming release.

Maintenance Connection is just like all the rest of the CMMS Packages out there -- its just that their user interface will blow you away. They've taken the Microsoft Access looking database forms and spiffed them up into multiple screens for easy browsing, and image-based menus for quick access to all areas. If the average CMMS package gets a grade of C, we found one package that we thought was a B, and Maintenance Connection was clearly a solid A, but not as expensive because of their concurrent licensing.

Pros

User Interface: It beats anything else we saw during our initial search. Customizable: they can change almost anything for you. Components to meet most needs: people, companies, assets, vehicles, training, purchase orders, tool checkout, key tracking, meter tracking, predictive maintenance ... oh, and work orders too. Reporter: the possibilities are literally infinite with that thing.

Cons

Internet Explorer only requesters can use other browsers, but anything beyond that requires IE. Built in documentation (tool tips, help notes, etc), but they do have a full online manual, you just have to go find the info you're looking for -- this is only a problem because the program is so feature rich sometimes you dont know what clicking a checkbox will do. Sometimes their support team lacks the knowledge and know-how of complex operations or tasks, you just have to find the right person -- our implementation guy is our go to guy for all the big stuff.

I have been using MC for over 7 years. I have used several other CMMS over the years, including maxiomo, Mircomain, Info, Bigfoot, and TM2, but Maintenance Connection is by far the best i have used. It is very easy to setup and very user friendly.

I highly recommend purchasing this program for any company that needs to track their equipment. This can track your hours, parts used & stocked, purchase history, equipment history, PMs and have all your vendors and manufactures a click away.

Pros

This is a very good CMMS. I have worked with several since 1985. Maintenance Connection's gold is in the reports. No other program offers this type of option. It cannot be beet. As a super-user I can tell you the reports function gives you every possible option to track your documentation and report it to those that need it.

Cons

The MC University training program needs help. I have been very dissatisfied with it. They do not take into account actual uses of the program. The writer probably hasn't actually used the program in real world as I have for 12 years.

Work orders and procedures are great, reporting is complicated

Overall on a day to day basis, it works out very well. When it comes to Asset management, it has to be done correctly from the beginning, otherwise there's no way to fix it later. This is suppose to be useful for every employee but it seems you need specialists in your company to handle reporting and troubleshooting.

Pros

Creating work orders, both automatically and manually are very easy. Adding time and creating procedures to add to work orders are easy too.

Cons

Creating a report to show specific data always requires that i get assistance from customer support whom shows me what seems like hidden features in the software and uses terms im not familiar with. Offline version has problems with loading or not pulling a work order when it fits all the requirements, and then releasing it back to CMMS takes a long time.

Overall I think it's a wonderful CMMS Software package. The offer cloud service and have great customer service that will remote in with you and walk you through any problem you may have. I haven't worked with the back-end, but as far as creating assets, work orders and reports it doesn't get much easier.

Pros

The reports module is a beast! If you have ever had to create a report using Crystal Reports before you understand how complex reporting can get. Maintenance Connection makes creating reports simple to do. You do not have to be a wiz at SQL to create very sophisticated reports. I also like that I can copy or clone just about anything in the database. This makes asset creation and pm schedule creation very easy.

Cons

We are not using the most current version, so the issues we experience are likely resolved. That being said, trying to export reports to pdf was buggy at first but seems to have cleared up. I also wish there was a way to create a bulletin (and there may be) that would alert you to whenever a new rule was created, changed etc... because sometimes new rules can cause work order generation issues and it's often the last thing looked at.

I recommend this program to any company that need a flexible, versatile and highly reliable CMMS to schedule PMs, allow requesters to enter their work request and to track the complete maintenance history. With this program you can see all levels of the maintenance operation which includes, maintenance history, WO status, work history, asset history, purchasing and fall other aspects of maintenance.

Pros

MC is a very powerful tool and we are using most of its functions. I am, overall, very pleased with the technical support that I have received from MC. We have been using this CMMS for 5 years and have not lost any data or had any crashes. The report function is defiantly icing in the cake. It allows me to customize reports for all levels in the company. I also use it as an aid to help track and correct documentation errors as they occur. That helps maintain the accuracy that is needed.

All software needs some sort of improvement. MC does work at continually improving their software. Some fixes take longer than others but they usually are addressed at some point. The upgrades take time and that can seem to long. I wish they could perform some quick fixes for some of the smaller problems.

I thought that Maintenance Connection has the best software solution I've seen for my application.

Data and cost tracking for assets. Preventive Maintenance Scheduling. Never implemented so was not able to see benefits as a result.

Pros

I like the Mobile solution application and the ability to minimize work order data capture for my technicians.

Cons

I still believe that there is more room to simplify a CMMS. At the moment, I'm still frightened by the amount of administrative work of one of these systems. I actually chose not to invest in this at this time due to the cost and administrative burden, given our relatively small maintenance requirements. I would not necessarily benefit from any labor optimization and really need the documentation portion. I chose to stick with my good old spreadsheets.

Pros

I was first introduced to Maintenance Connection in 2007. In the world of software development, that was a lifetime ago. It was a solid package back then, but I have since watched it bloom into the most highly rated CMMS software on Gartner's Magic Quadrant. What happened? In my opinion, the key to that success was rapid deployment of a mobile solution as well as well-executed integrations with other systems (especially ERPs). The power of Maintenance Connection (MC) is only effective if you can take it on the road with you and incorporate it with your other software solutions. TCO is also a huge factor with software implementation/ongoing maintenance and I believe MC is a decent value.

Cons

We often had issues with using different browsers as well as browser updates. I have moved onto another company and no longer use MC, so I'm not sure if they have put additional resources on that to ensure those bugs are kept to a minimum. Be sure to ask about that if you are considering this software.

Excellent! Each release shows MC is listening to it's customer base.

Pros

Mike Reiff has been both knowledgeable and innovative with our ongoing installation/systems integration. Without his ability to look outside the box and come up with solutions we would not have achieved the success' we have today. MC's TS Staff have been key in the integration of the project. Brad Squires has lent a hand when needed and assisted with his vast comprehensive knowledge of the MC...

Cons

GIS viewer needs to be improved. History is inconsistent.

My experience with Limble CMMS

Limble CMMS have changed our maintenance department from reactive to preventative maintenance.

Pros

I started a new work position and faced a lot of challenges, I needed something that would give me the tools and support that would help me make a success of what was expected of me. Limble CMMS was so easy to apply and get my preventative maintenance schedules done, I managed to setup all our machines within a couple of days. The software is very flexible and you have the ability to design and redesign effortlessly.

Cons

Having to setup the preventative maintenance templates from start to finish I would have wanted an option to copy and paste between templates and not just between instructions while constructing a template.

This is really good feedback! We like your idea of being able to pull in instructions from other templates. Our development team has put that feature on the list of features we will create.

Limble has been an excellent way to keep track of downtime, costs, and what's being done/used.

Limble has simplified the process of fulfilling work orders while simultaneously keeping a detailed history of any maintenance performed as well as costs associated with said maintenance.

Pros

Easy to use and easy to understand. User-friendly layout with detailed tracking of costs, maintenance, etc.

Cons

It would be nice to be able to list and/or request parts for each asset, but from what I understand this is something that will be soon added to the software programming. I honestly can't think of anything I dislike about Limble.
