We get to post journal entries with relative ease and build our books in it.
I like how easy it is to upload import files for posting entries. Also, downloading and customizing GL reports is pretty simply too, where the ability to adjust parameters are pretty flexible. The platform is over all easy to navigate.
I wish it were possible to post multiple entries at once via import file. It takes a while to post so many entries when you have to do one import file per entry.

NetSuite can be customized, is cloud-based, and gets the job done. Was a step up for us from Quick Books.
For our needs, it is overkill. The interface isn't the most intuitive and looks outdated. I wish we had stayed with Quick Books.

Since everyone in your organization is connected to the customer relationship management software, you can track each employee's workflow, task-completion ratio and progress reports. The group calendar is a great place for everyone to keep track of their to-do lists and show off their accomplishments when they are completed. There are plenty of helps and walk-throughs that each user can access for help in using the CRM software. You can create links to articles or upload documents that have an outline of company policies and procedures.
The ability to add data points to the customer and also to build a customer using project modules all while keeping the books accurately reflecting that financial relationship.
It doesn't have live chat support, nor does it have a social CRM application. Higher turnaround times for complaint resolution

NetSuite is used across the organization and is the financial system of records for us. It is an excellent cloud based solution and is well integrated across modules. It is user friendly, easy to implement and also easy to understand and train users on.
1. The ability to add data points to the customer and also to build a customer using project modules all while keeping the books accurately reflecting that financial relationship. 2. Customize using suitescript.
Multi dimensional searches are not easy so other user friendly softwares can be used for that. Bill/Print Invoice button should be added

Netsuite gave our company the same features and functionality as our largest competitors at a fraction of the cost and no large investment in servers or managing an IT Dept. Information is power, and the piece of mind knowing that all of our company's vital information in stored on mirrored off-site servers is priceless. The expandability of Netsuite allows me to propose aggressive growth ideas knowing I have the right software backing me up.
Cloud based. No servers on site. Seamless integration across the business. Inventory hits the books in real time. User roles are customizable. Online help desk is well explained to provide answers. Simple and powerful CRM.
More of a suggestion: When you go Netsuite, it's a great idea to get 2 or more internet providers. If your main line goes down due to construction, the 2nd ISP can keep you from sending staff home for the day.

Netsuite is a robust product that make searching and reporting easy. There is a way to report on anything in anyway you need.
Netsuite is fairly intuitive for being such a complex system. I also really love the Sandbox capability. I love being able to mess around and try things without actually affecting the books. It also integrates with just about every finance product I've ever been interested in.
I am sometimes disappointed with the "out of the box" product, meaning there are some things that I would think are standard, but they end up costing more. I also wish their support system was easier. You are forced to use SuiteAnswers to look for answers yourself, which can be helpful, but it seems like you have to jump through some hoops before being able to talk to a support representative. My account CSM often refers me to support for questions that I feel like he should know.

Set up team is great, and very accommodating. Overall product is great and we are looking forward to a lasting relationship.
We needed a program that was ready to use out of the box with the option to develop it from there. Netsuite passed with flying colors. Accomplishes everything Quick-books does and then loads more. Loads of integrations possible. And with some basic programming knowledge you can really take it to the next level.
Price is quite high. After the set up quality service is quite expensive. Also due to the corporate structure there is lot of getting passed around to get issues resolved.

NS has provided an excellent solution to helping manage our books and it has been customized to work with the many nuances of our company; it has a great opportunities pipeline structure that ties with our HubSpot and there are some good forecasting activities that have resulted from thisIntegration with ADP and Mosaic have also been great and we have a near 100% (never will be of course) automated financial management and budgeting systemNS helps take a lot of the wrench work out of the way to allow finance professionals to focus on strategic development
Ease of useScheduled reportingSaved and shared reportsCustomer Service and experts that work to help create and solve unique problems
Report formats and presentationMRR and ARR require a lot of customization to show correct valuesHaving to always add an authenticator code to access the software

Our implementation was incomplete leaving us having to pay new developers to fi serrarra constuling was arrogant and sloppy. And with netsuite lack of customer service we spent years in private contracts with their development partner Aminion was and still is fantastic....but not cheap: here's a real stat for ya...switching from Netsuite ecommerce to shopify we was gains of 25-30 monthly. Netsuites templates are old and ugly and if you want something done right just do it yourself because they will over charge you and deliver an ugly product mo the past delivery. I'm celebrating my last few contractual weeks on this platform the gave up on small business. Bright pearl. Zoho. Full cycle light....the list goes on and on for better solutions at half the cost.

The ability to customize just about anything your organization wants is rewarding. And if you are willing to spend, you can have your system fit your business processes like a glove. Integration apps, along with native functionality of workflows can put your business in a “semi-autopilot mode.” Practically limitless reporting capabilities. You can manage almost every aspect of the your organization while enforcing internal controls and monitoring employees with full visibility. I would recommend for enterprises with no less than 8M in sales and with at least 8 or more users to leverage the full functionality of this role-based system. Netsuite is built to fit the needs of each role within your organization, from the sales rep and warehouse manager to the A/R clerk and controller.
Nasty corporate culture. No accountability for system issues, error, or outages. Sneaky contracts that will hook you with discounts and raise fees exorbitantly after your are stuck with your data and huge conversion costs. Nightmarish implementation that Netsuite outsources to foreign “professional” services that know pretty much the same as you would do from the get go. They barely speak English—incorrect...

Netsuite was chosen by our company around 9 months ago and has been in use since January 2015. Implementation was long process and was expensive. Costs include the purchase of main licence, an expensive per-person licence, paying a consulting firm to run the implementation project and having a dedicated in-house employee as "admin" to support the other users. Netsuite has brought some great changes...
Solid back end Keeps excellent and accurate records that are easily audited Brings transparency to processes
Too difficult to use and therefore staff refrain from using it for all but the most essential tasks Requires an in-house expert to help run the system Requires months of repeated training to get staff up to speed Poor for tracking customer account history Extremely difficult to extract and graph the data that you need from it Rigid and hard to change display and parameters of any data displays Very expensive
