Polarr overview
What is Polarr?
Polarr is a free online photo editor which allows users to create diverse photo effects by applying layers, filters and masks to their images, and later use these images in graphic design projects. The software works online, and through native apps on Windows, Mac, iOS and Android devices.
Polarr’s free version supports all the standard photo editing tools including cropping and resizing, color adjustment and automatic enhancements. It offers vignette and lens distortion filters in addition to masks that can be blended or stacked. Functionality also includes expendable 3 band histograms and watermarking. The paid version comes with additional filters and layers as well as batch processing capabilities and Apple Photos extensions.
Polarr allows users to customize their workspace with different themes and custom tool arrangements in up to two workspaces. All historical changes are tracked and accessible within the system. Both the free and paid version are also enhanced by twelve interactive walkthrough tutorials that familiarize users with Polarr’s capabilities.
