Overall experience has been really good, the support we have received from [sensitive content hidden] has been outstanding! I think Redzone is a great tool and a positive move forward for our team.
Redzone has provided us with a tool to help our front-line workers have a voice to communicate with their team. The use of Redzone has brought supporting departments together with our production team to work as one unit to solve problems and improve processes. Not only does Redzone provide a ton of useful data, but it has also provided a cultural shift and created a more positive, engaged environment.
We found that the install of Redzone was a little worrisome for our front-line workers. Before installing, some felt like it was a tracking tool for management to track employees, with a lot of meetings to discuss what we want to use the tool for (to give a voice to the workers and help them) the team really bought into it and became more positive. i would say that this is very important and that management at ALL levels should be engaged and supportive.

Great program with a lot of room to grow. Great team and amazing coaches who take their time to understand your processes to make sure they are adding value to your team.
The way the compliance module so easily integrates into the productivity module made it a smooth transition to a paperless state.
Some of the templates and triggers provided were less than ideal. It would be nice to see product filters available for shift triggers within the compliance module.

Very easy to implement. We found their team very flexible when we needed the program or scheduling altered to fit our needs. We had several occasions to tap into the whole community of RedZone users and we found that this was one of the great strengths.
As a well established food manufacturer (Confectionary) we had gotten comfortable in our existing habits and processes. RedZone was the perfect tool and program to allow use to leave our comfort zone and dare to be much more. Importantly, it concentrated on educating, informing and empowering the line workers and operators to make better decisions based on the real time data that is displayed to...
There wasn't too much that we had a problem with. For a medium sized operation, it is not inexpensive but when we considered our payback and value, it was well worth it.

RedZone has been a great partner and they stand behind and support their products with educated professionals. There team becomes part of your team, if your company buys into the culture.
Help to facilitate a collaborative culture within the facility driving communication between the support functions. Has great ability to incorporate picture and video to task that are needed to be accomplished. Multiple options for task generation frequency. Multiple layers of software available and they are strict in how you roll them out, so you don't take on too much at one time.
Does not completely replace a full CMMS system. Allows some copying of information between areas, but not all of them, so it requires hours of data input to get the system up and going, but this is similar across many software packages that do this.

we have been using the system for more than 1 year now so far the comment from the front line team has been nothing but great feedback. We no longer required to manually create downtime logs, worker have more time to get on with actual value added work and the level of communication within our enterprise has improved.
we like the real time data so we can act quickly to resolve any issues. we also like the fact that it has Chinese language support as well as a dedicated Chinese speaking coach. He is very professional with great level of industry knowledge and highly supportive throughout the whole journey .
As of any new technology, it would take some time for our front line team to get used to and it take strong leadership from our team to enforce and make sure they are accountable for their data integrity. Once they got used to it and it works like clockwork.

Has been a key tool in helping us continue our Manufacturing Excellence journey, a journey that has delivered significant cost benefits on our multi-line high volume site.
Redzone has allowed us to step change our operating system and fuel our Manufacturing Excellence initiatives by providing real time data which is reportable in a way that is highly visual, easy to understand and has high utility in terms of driving shop floor performance management systems (SIC, Kaizens, Employee engagement, etc)
Interrogating and customising the data in more complex ways is driven by external reporting software which is a little daunting and non-intuitive.

We have implemented the productivity and compliance module at 12 of our factories and have had improvements in performance at every plant. With the impact to results and the ability to get employees more involved in the CI process we have been very happy with our selection decision to implement Redzone
The availability to have real time data at the line and to increase the accuracy of our data capture. This has been a foundation to the identification of productivity/waste reduction opportunities. The compliance module has been critical for standardization across all our facilities and has been a foundation of our Food Safety Program. We have had several SQF auditors tell us that we are best in class because of Redzone and our application of the software. The last is the improved communication across the plants, the chat functionality was a surprise that has been critical to the improvement.
I do not have any Cons to share. The software has delivered a lot of value and we continue to learn and expand our utilization.
Thanx for the 5 out of 5 / 10 out of 10 review, John, but what I think is most compelling is the 12 out of 12 plants that have resulted in productivity improvements!

Initially, we were seeking a better way to quantify our performance in a near live manner which brought us to an MES solution. When looking at the options available what we eventually uncovered was that the level engagement Redzone was able to create at the team member level superseded any benefits we were seeking around KPI reporting. Working in an industry that is heavily regulated, the paperless quality system also helps keep you organized and makes documents easily accessible when needed.
Though Redzone gets grouped as an MES, and it certainly has all the reporting and functionality of a conventional MES, it's true value lies with it being a transformational cultural tool for the team members manufacturing products. The software doesn't simply tell them how they are doing, but rather changes their behaviors and teaches them how to perform their jobs more effectively. This is done...
The software is iOS based and there are no Windows desktop options. That being said, it is easy to work around this by leveraging iPad's and Smart TV's.

Redzone Compliance provides for more dynamic product safety. Automatically it triggers a control point check. If checks fail or are overlooked, a notification is sent as an alert. Our team is now notified of potential issues as they happen. This has resulted in increased product quality with zero product recalls. Likewise, Redzone software has improved communication and visibility with non-production...
What I like most is the ease of use. It's both intuitive and innovative. There is a shallow learning curve, and most users are up and running in no time at all.
Redzone provides plenty of support when generating reports using the Tableau software. However, I prefer self-reliance over a Redzone coach creating or altering our reports. I found a steep learning curve when learning on my own. There are classes available, but that is an additional cost.

Very positive experience implementing a system that has become part of daily life. Worth the effort.
We have implemented both an OEE and compliance module. This has allowed us to utilise the generated data to form improvement plans and improve productivity, reducing downtime and increasing efficiency. Nothing specifically to dislike about the software system, it is a fantastic tool. Improvement suggestions are relayed and appreciated; however, it does rely on other sites identifying the same in some cases to be implemented. The workload of setting up the system is labourious (but very well supported) but worth it when you get to the end result.

Our Coach [sensitive content hidden] is extremely knowledgeable about the products, she understands manufacturing environments very well, and she is very responsive when we reach out for help. [sensitive content hidden] did a great job overall of helping us get the most out of the platform and making it fit OUR specific needs, AND she is fun and engaging when leading/training the teams.
The compliance module is a great tool to for paperless documentation of a broad variety of quality information including photos, videos, text, etc. The timing functions ensure on-time execution of quality checks and new checks are relatively easy to build. There is a great variety of structures/formats for the checks so really any task can be documented thoroughly and efficiently. The downtime communication and tracking, problem tracking, and communication tools (huddles, etc) are pretty effective.
Our environment is not a complex, highly automated, highly integrated system. It is fairly simple and therefore the OEE tracking was not very impactful and probably not worth the high cost.

the current paper work, takes extra man hours to process the data in order to analyse. with Redzone checks, they all become digital and they can be easily retrieved during an audit. the data can also be easily access and use data analysis tool like Power BI to generate trends and charts.
the productivity of the workers will improve as the quality checks are being monitored, if is a paper check, they can become lazy and only fill in the checks when they like. Redzone make this impossible as checks can be programmed so it doesn't get missed and every missed checks are recorded. the dashboard also very easy to manage, we can see checks from one page and we can easily manage by exception.
Some situations are not very practical and we have to change our working habbit to accomdate the system. For example when we count units and enter in paper, we can mark in strokes and give the final value at the end. with Redzone, we can only enter final value, this could lead to potential mistakes.

with tradtional paper checks, we are unable to keep track if the paper checks, the operators usually fill in the forms late and we do not have full visibility. the digital checks in redzone allows us to set up sechdules and we can make sure all operators are doing the correct checks at the correct time. even if the checks are missed or cancelled, the app still keeps record so we can monitor and improve.
Redzone helped us becoming paperless, saving cost on paper as well as more accurate and reliable data. we can program the check on our own preference and monitor to ensure checks are being done at the right time by the right person. The app also make it very easy to filter and search histroical data, we no longer required much admin work to fill paper data into digital forms.
we were not able to copy certain sections of the data sheets. such as triggers and the ability to mass upload option list. we are unable to set up triggers if one location has multiple SKUs running at the same time.

I have been in manufacturing for more than 35 years and the cultural transformation we experienced was amazing. The combination of hands on coaching and real time data has helped to drive improvement in every area of our operation. Hats off to Redzone!!!
Redzone was very easy to deploy throughout the factory. Users learned the software very quickly which along with the hands on coaching allowed for a seamless implementation. More importantly, the true value of the software is that helps to transform cultures. It has certainly helped to improve manufacturing performance and increase employee morale and engagement. The amount of paperwork the operators once had to complete was mind boggling. Redzone has fixed all that!!!
There isn't anything specifically wrong with this software. Very user friendly and well supported.

it's a usful tool for data collection and data analycial. it helps to engage people and gives our organisation to have a clear picture of performance. we can easily spot where our losses are. then we can track all the improvement actions with identified ownership of each task. Redzone also helping us to reduction papaer comsumption cost.
i like how redzone can set up triggers for checks. these triggers can be based on a downtime event and it can be programmed automatically and accurately. we know how much we loss with the reasons and this helps us a lot in terms of further improvement.
i really enjoy the redzone training and theres nothing we dont like. the only downside i can think of is my team found some difficulty to use both paper and redzone for recording checks this creates duplicated work for them. but this will be phased out once we fully implement.

From inital pitch Redzone were very professional and had a good understanding of what we required. They got their model across and how the software works with engaging the workforce at the frontline. The coaching element also help to introduce new concepts to the wider team of lean management, kaiszen and continual improvement. The messaging and action management functions have improved collaboration bewteen teams and departments. As we have just come out of our 90 day deployment we have a strong foundation to continue building success.
Visual management of the site OEE performance. The ability to carry out Tier meetings using real time data. Reducing the non-value added time of collating and presenting data at meetings. Support for Redzone Coaches during the deployment.
Cost of implementation was high. Installation of sensors and associated network, purchase of hardware inc. TVs, Apple devices.

The data has helped us to analyse our machine downtime and performance. we better understand the reasons for the downtime and we can make corrections faster. We are working on the compliance module and when it launches, this will help us remove many of the papers from the line. It will also make data analysis so much easier.
Redzone can help use improve line efficiency, i can now see the actual line capacity, i can better plan and improve the line by allocating the right amount of people to the line and line balancing. Redzone can help us reduce loss time.
i would like to use Redzone on Android devices or my laptop, but it's only available on IOS devices. that means we need to order more Ipads, which lead to more cost.

Overall experience is very good. The employees are paying attention to the OEE performance and the QC team is more interactive now.
We had a challenging implementation due to the nature of our business. Our production lines usually don't remain the same and the sensor configuration becomes inadequate.
There is not a good solution to integrate labor cost into the operations module. Tableau does not capture accurately all the data.

data accuracy, from both productivity of the factory. we were relying man hours to key in production data, redzone eliminated the need, in addiction, line leaders now take on full responsibility on the performance of the line. the compliance modules helping use to make sure digital checks are being conducted and the data being entered is more accurate.
we like the fact that admin app from redzone is very easy to use and highly customisable, The on site coach is coaching experience is very good and effective. The compliance module is helping us to the right direction, which is becoming paperless and the data is very easy to retrieve.
It's only limited to Apple devices and they are expensive. the initial project calls are not very detailed and we need to understand the system more in order to provide the right data to be uploaded to the system.
