Update and refresh frustrations

Reliability Administrator

Constant updates making the software not work properly.

Reviewers mention that refreshing after changes often requires restarting modules, which delays work. They report that updates sometimes introduce new bugs or cause lag, affecting productivity. Some users express frustration with having to wait for information to refresh or features to become available again after updates, impacting their ability to work efficiently.

Cost and feature limitations

36% of reviewers feel negative about Pricing. Reviewers indicate that advanced features are locked behind higher-priced plans, making it expensive for small businesses or teams with limited budgets. Users also express concerns about upfront training fees and the affordability of premium features for smaller organizations.

Operations

The platform simplifies maintenance operations by combining work order management, preventive maintenance scheduling, asset tracking, and inventory management into one system.

Digital Marketing Manager

Creating work orders, assigning tasks, tracking asset history, and scheduling preventive maintenance are all simple.

Product Manager

It has made it much easier to organize maintenance activities, schedule preventive maintenance and keep track of assets without relying on spreadsheets or paperwork.

As the IT department responsible for evaluating, implementing, and supporting UpKeep across our facilities and maintenance teams, we've been running it for over a year now.

Office Admin

We also occasionally hit minor bugs and sync issues when uploading multiple photos to a single job card.

Occasionally, the mobile app takes a few extra seconds to sync data, but it hasn't significantly affected our daily operations.

Inventory tracking and maintenance scheduling also help reduce downtime and improve organization.

Program Director

My overall experience with UpKeep has been reliable for managing maintenance operations, work orders, and asset information.

The platform is easy to use, reliable, and has helped us stay on top of preventive maintenance. Although there is room for improvement in reporting and customization, it remains a dependable solution for maintenance management.

Certain premium features also require higher-tier plans, which may increase costs for smaller organizations.

Senior Software Engineer

Its features include asset tracking, work order management, inventory control, and task scheduling.

Complex multi-site setups still require some manual configuration or Studio builder time

Backend Developer

The fast that it was incredibly ease to learn is what I like most about the app and also the amazing barcode scanning feature

Lower tiers have restricted workflows and reporting.

It is easy to learn, improves team collaboration, and helps organizations stay organized while reducing manual processes.

The pricey and also I always face some difficulties when ever I update the app, the bug is unbearable

Operations Project Manager

Again, it's simple to track, manage and control our inventories using UpKeep.

The biggest advantage is how easy it is to manage maintenance tasks from one place.

However, getting the most value from the platform requires proper setup and user adoption.

With UpKeep, it's simple to schedule preventive maintenance tasks.

Engineer

Some of the user functions are missing from the software, sometime when there are too many assets or parts listed, it gets hard to navigate.

Registered Behavior Technician

I really love that it offers great benefits for businesses, such as reduced downtime, improved efficiency, and enhanced asset management.

The mobile ease of use is definitely the standout feature for our team.

DMV Clerk

I like how I am able to streamline work, manage assess and tracks inventory all in one place.

Inventory supervisor

The system is easy to use, it has a simple layout making it very quick to learn and implement for many tasks.

Office Manager

Not all features are as customizable as they should be, and there are sometimes glitches in the app which can be frustrating when busy.

It is quick to learn, saves time and helps improve team productivity.

Buyer

We began using Upkeep prior to the preventative maintenance module roll out they use now, and right away we found that recurring work orders were not populating correctly, most notably re-using work order numbers (which should be unique), and not populating at the correct time.

Among these issues with parts and POs was the fact that vendor assignments are a secondary thought, taking a distant 6th position to “PO Title”, “Description”, and “Category” among other less important references.

The ability to update tasks on the go is very helpful as well.

I use it daily at my workplace, and it gets the job done.

This was mostly solved when the PM roll out took place in 2022, but the amount of labor time on our end to correct this recurring work order problem was excessive to say the least.

Head of Service

UpKeep has been very helpful in guiding us through adoption of the platform and providing us the tools needed to expand our capabilities and record keeping.

I like the user-friendly interface, it's easy to navigate and makes onboarding new team members much easier.
