I almost decided on Basecamp but decided to find a tool with more automation tools. 

I liked the product but ultimately found more robust tools

Dependent On Your Team

I have used Basecamp for many projects at my college and it is by far one of the most simple tools for users to adopt. Its features serve the needs of most projects and serve as a great hub of communication and progress.

It's a good way to interact with a large group of contributors but I'll be interested to see how it stacks up against the likes of Monday.com

I have left basecamp and went to Teamwork.com, after a while, returned to basecamp. I have left basecamp and went to Monday.com, after a while returned to basecamp. That shouls tell you something. 

Basecamp is the best tool for simple to do list. 

Basecamp has helped me carry out projects for my company and, at the same time, communicate with my team. That said, I would rather use another tool out there, such as Monday.com or Asana.

Basecamp is basic but easy to use

Collaboration with colleagues in different offices / countries. I actually enjoyed Basecamp more than Trello, Slack, etc. but ultimately my exec team decided to move everyone to one tool instead of multiple and we rested on Monday.com.

Basecamp is not a bad PM tool at all. They just need to rethink pricing.

Basecamp is ok but pricey

I used Basecamp for almost 6 months as I had a couple of freelance clients request that I use it for project management. We used Basecamp for all work and communication and it worked flawlessly and eliminated the need for any emails. Everything was all in one place, and updates happened in real-time. I'd recommend Basecamp for larger size businesses, but for freelancers or small businesses, there are better options available.

Once I switched over from Basecamp, I was immediately hooked and could not wait to start using monday.com. It is so easy to use, very easy to navigate around.

I use Monday.com daily and couldn't be happier with how much it does! I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of the name but I am a huge fan of how flexible and powerful the software is! And I know it does MUCH MORE than what we use. We love it and couldn't be happier with our purchase! 

Monday.com is our universal software! 

Right now I log in to make sure I'm not missing anything but haven't found any part of it to be terribly helpful other than documenting action items.

I just don't understand how it's useful

We are able to track all of our projects in one place, no need to have Google Docs and we moved from Basecamp to Monday.com because it was easier to use along with how the conversations were saved made it easier for the team to collaborate.

Super Efficient

I am at mid-level management in my current career, and I have used many platforms to keep track of projects and assignments. This by far is the best. It's easy to use, figure out, and edit. I really think it's simple and makes me want to blow up BaseCamp. 

Great Platform

All-in-all, it does what I need it to do. It keeps track of my tasks, allows me to assign projects/tasks to other people and stay up to date on the progress of those items. My other colleagues use it for more in-depth reasons, and from what I can tell, they really like the software. 

Great tool for project management

I have tried so many different project and time management software in the past few years - including Asana, Trello, and Basecamp. Monday.com is the most modern, and best. It has the best visual interface and makes planning and organizing actually enjoyable. It offers a fully custom solution that I can tailor to my exact needs as a freelance writer. Although a warning - there are so many features, you can end up spending hours tweaking them instead of being productive!

Monday.com makes working on a Monday better!

I've been a long time user of Basecamp and it took me a long time to choose to make the switch but when I did, it changed the way I manage teams and projects almost immediately. monday.com is super fast, intuitive and always there - I know where projects and tasks are at any time or anywhere. The biggest bonus is that the support is really good and quick, even in completely opposite time zones (New Zealand is almost exactly opposite from their headquarters). 

Greatest project management I've used to date

I have a team of remote people and we were looking for a way to collaborate together. We were looking for the right combination of organization, planning, assignment and collaboration.

I've tried tons of other tools.. for a long time, we were using Basecamp, then Trello and then TeamWeek.. and for some reason or another, we would never keep up with it. But ever since we got on Monday, we haven't looked back.

 I think it's flexibility is its strongest point. You can adapt it to use whichever way fits your team the best.

It is the best project management platform I have seen on the market. Free trial, very reasonable pricing. A very flexible user interface that satisfies every professional need regardless of your field. 

Best project management tool on the market

As a mid-sized company and having offices in two different states, with employees from both offices working on the same projects, we needed a simple-to-use project management tool.  We've tried other companies software, such as Basecamp, and even tried to build one in-house, but it just didn't fit our needs.  Primarily because it was hard to use and difficult to stay on task.  When we found monday.com it helped us accomplish two significant objectives.  First, senior management could very quickly and easily see which projects are falling behind and which ones are on track, without having to "get in weeds" on the project. The high-level reporting is perfect for senior management.   Second, all of the people working on the projects can dig deep and keep in contact as the project moves along.  Along with the ease of use, the customer service has been out-of-this-world.  For a company located half-a-globe away, they provide outstanding service to the U.S. market and have highly trained and skilled support and sales personnel.  We couldn't be more pleased with both the software and the service we receive, and it's extremely affordable too, which is great on the corporate budget.

You know how you have to have check your email and phone regularly. You can just add Basecamp to the list, but it's worse, because at least you get notified of emails.

It's one, managing projects, two, meeting deliverables and timelines, and then three, communication with clients. Both products work well for all three of these areas and more. Basecamp is best for its ease of use. You can share a link with a client and there's relatively zero, if any, learning curve for them to get up to speed. So really enjoy Basecamp's ease of use. Monday.com is best for the manager of the project because they get to see all the projects, all the timelines, all the deliverables from one dashboard.
                                                       Both products were super easy to get started. Both are a web based. In other words, they run in the browser. So you download the instance and you up and running. Both products are really easy. The top considerations when looking at a monday.com, a Basecamp or project management software is ease of use and also the adaptability for the client to respond and view project deliverables on the other end.
