I've used a few different task management software apps (notably JIRA) and I've found TargetProcess to be more resistant to complexity than any of them. Most JIRA implementations grow cluttered and unusable over time; TargetProcess seems to insist on simplicity and ease of use.

Very simple drag-and-drop task management

We used JIRA for several years and it's good, but the lack of proper integrated hierarchy means organising 10,000+ items is just impossible. Even 3rd party plugins dont help much. The UI is slow and unattractive and after 6 months trying to get JIRA Porfolio to work (a cool idea!) I could never get it to and the response from Atlassian was disappointing overall.

Using this product for both personal and university project. I use Jira at work and for sure this is a strong competitor.

Great progressive system

Our company switched to TargetProcess from Jira and we have never once looked back. Immediately, the advantages of TP over Jira were apparent. Boards and commenting alone were killer features for us, as was the ability to easily see updates on followed issues. I would highly recommend TP to any company looking for software to manage their development.

The best project management software for software development teams, period

TP is one of the best tool that I used. Before I used other tools like TFS or Jira but they are not as efficient as TP is.

Coming from a hybrid of JIRA and physical whiteboards has been seamless. We have nothing but positive things to say about TargetProcess and their continuously improving product.  Now our entire organization can beat to the same drum by actually seeing an internal road map. 

Fantastic keeps getting better

It is a great organizing tool for me. I've found that it keeps me focused on tasks and allows me to decompose them easily. My company uses JIRA so I haven't put as much time in this as I could have.

Overall, I really like Target Process and would recommend it. It is easier to setup than a full-blown Jira instance, and provides the most useful tools and capabilities without too much effort. It also has decent support for custom webhooks and other more advanced needs.

Target Process 

We have introduced Targetprocess during 2017 year since we have started to really implement an Agile approach to our development process. We are also active JIRA users and from the beginning we discovered a much more clean approach with TP, and a much more powerful reporting tools.



A strong Agile and multiproject companion tool

Used TP for about 3 years. It's object design underneath make all sense from an engineer's perspective. Love all the capabilities to customize my workflow and boards, color code it with extentions etc. Support is really great! It wins JIRA and TRELLO in my opinion.

A highly customizable task management tool

I have been using TargetProcess for many years. Actually brought usage of it from my previous company to my current company based on my usage of it in the past. We were using Jira, but soon as I came in and showed what we could be doing, we quickly made the switch.

We were able to implement a complex SAFe-like process in our company bringing visibility to the long-planned work as well as kanban-like client requests. The focus of our team increased and we are able to deliver right features at right time.

TargetProcess is my daily tool

If we were going to start a business today or if I had 1-2 months for setup and on boarding, I would strongly consider Target Process to run the project management just because of the large number of options for structuring the workflow and reporting metrics. I would compare it most to Jira classic projects, but more user friendly.

Target Process is one of the strongest project management tools available

I used TP2 and TP3-beta at some very large multi-team multi-program clients and had a consistently good experience. I've got a lot of experience of Jira, Rally, PivotalTracker, Trello, Mingle and open source agile lifecycle management tools. I like TP3 better - it covers a lot more ground, the information architecture is really consistent, it's solid as a rock and fast too. Best of breed.

Does exactly what I'm looking for, then gets out of my way.

Overall it is a really good tool especially if you have the correct knowledge of SCRUM you can use Targetprocess to its maximum potential.

Best Tool For Start Ups To Manage Their Projects

When I make decision to start using some software to manage our programming tasks I have tried about 20 different solutions - Jira, Planbox, VersionOne and others. Some of them has no functionality that I want, some was to complex, some required additional plugins and tuning. When I've tried TargetProcess I immediately realized - it is IT! TP perfectly matched my idea of XP - every feature is on the right place. It's not free, but it worth it!

Manage XP workflow just like I want it

What a fabalous application, it makes my day to day testing activities easier and smarter way. I love the email notification feature which helps me to follow up the tasks/bugs without verifying indivually. When compared to other management tools like Jira and Quality centre I see ease of use in Target process and definetely Iwould recommend to my friends and colleuages.

In one word I ust wanna say its Fabulous!!

We have been using target process for several years on a rather large software project. We have roughly 30 members all using the software and it has been a delight to use. There are other solutions out there like Jira but TargetProcess has worked great for our needs. What sets TargetProcess apart from other solutions is their support. Anytime I have a question I have someone on live chat that can help me and every time their support has solved my questions.
