Pros

The features of Jira are very useful, help track multiple projects with ease. Helps a ton in collaborating with other team members efficiently.
Jira is pretty straight forward. Once you get used to how to set up a Jira, and subscribe to notifications it works on auto-pilot helps to get track of complex issues, resolution and monitor progress.
Slack integration is super useful and the ability to write JQL and integrating with Google sheet is immensely useful.

Pros

So natural to utilize Very visual Price is correct Easy to add/eliminate individuals Search ability is superb.
The product has a good look and is easy to use. Regarding the integration of the processes, it is very good and agile with the other members.
Excellent software to maintain the progress as a team and achieve the targets as a team. Monitor the team's progress and a wonderful application full of tools helps us to do things right.

Cons

It has limited number of software integrations. Error notifications can be annoying sometimes.
If you accidentally click on the wrong name, the submitter gets a notification when it is assigned, and then another notification when you fix this by assigning it to the correct name.
Sometimes Jira does not work for some time and that makes it hard to track work. It has server problems often.

Cons

The accidental "drag/move/delete" is scary for us because you can accidentally move a card when you're just trying to scroll over on the screen and that can be problematic.
Fear of insecurity is a shortcoming of the apps. Some bad people can use this app for their ill purpose.
I HATE that i can not see the archived tasks on the calender as an option. Not being able to archive a task after you complete it and still see it on the calender is a bummer.

I don't really use Jira unless I have a client who uses it.

Pros

I just started using this software when I was working with a client who used this platform to keep its content organized. When I looked at it, I realized it is very similar to Trello. So that definitely helped to use Jira easily.

Cons

While similar to Trello, the UI seems less customizable and less "pretty" than Trello. I honestly prefer Trello over Jira.

The one tool to manage it all

I'm very pleased with Jira, use in in couple of projects, fits well in all cases

Pros

Flexibility, especially since the next-gen versions (huge improvement). From quick kanban to scrum in seconds, and you can adjust on the go as you need (awesome).

Cons

Big leap between Jira and Trello in ease of use (kanban is not so qucik and user friendly as in Trello)

In my last Job I used Jira to have all the control of workteam, We had more tools like fisheye and slack, we used to use plugin to send information from Slack to Jira and we could Close task from Slack, wonderful, may the only detail is the learning curve to make the most of the tool.

Pros

Powerful, Complete, Easy to syn with another platforms like Slack, Fisheye, etc.

Cons

Harder to use compared with Trello, Lil' expensive.

If you're a fan of workflow tools Jira is a great option. I only use it as an observer but It is super clear to me in where projects are with no issue. Pricing is per user which is great to keep costs low

I use JIRA with my company to organize tasks and projects. We used Trello before but found JIRA has more capability and we have a better experience with sprints.

Pros

JIRA is easy to use, and there are some functions we don't even touch, so it definitely offers more than we need.

Cons

It's not free, and if you're a sartup strapped for cash, Trello may be enough.

We've switched over from Trello and we couldn't be happier with Jira.

Pros

We love the integration between Jira and other Atlassian products, but most importantly its ever-expanding marketplace. We were able to integrate Jira with GitHub, Slack and Travis CI in no time.

Cons

Jira is quite expensive for large teams, so some of our clients are reluctant to using it. Also notifications are quite hard to manage.

Jira is too hectic for simple issue tracking and development

We were looking for a robust, integration friendly Kanban, Issue Tracker and Bug reporting. We knew Atlassian made great software, but Jira was a bit bloated and definitely felt sluggish compared to using something simple like Trello. Would not recommend for small teams. The software seems a bit more tailored to heavy users, those that need more finite control in issue tracking.

Pros

We did appreciate Jira's robustness in features and seems a bit more geared towards heavy users and developers that need more control in issue tracking. However, overall, I think Jira's complexity is a detriment to user adoption.

Cons

So, I trialed Jira and although I got to actually running off a few sprints on Jira, we ended up going back to Trello due to the sheer learning curve of JIra and the ease of use that Trello has over Jira.

Jira is the best tool I've tried so far. Much better than trello.

Pros

Kanban board help save time and allows me check the status of the work assigned to each individual very easily. It is really easy to introduce ticket statuses and design a flow for a type of task. In addition, it's really easy to assign and email updates also plays a great role.

Cons

It has so many features and when organisations customise JIRA to add more and more feature it gets complecated.

This is best option for IT company for multiple type of operations: Help desk, Agile software (scrum, kanban) development, project management with waterfall methodology, time sheet and project budgeting. etc.

Pros

- We keep multiple operations (support, SW development, project management) in one place - very robust, stable, enterprise grade software - lot of plug ins that extend the functionality (service desk for SLA, tempo for time sheets, big picture for waterfall project management.

Cons

- a bit complex in some cases comparing to Asana, Trello. - high user price, cant extend for all company

Better Alternative to Trello

Prior to migrating to JIRA, our company used Trello - I believe they're owned by the same company. I would argue that when you have a team of more than 10 individuals then JIRA far excels. JIRA offers a great solution to streamlining a work space for remote workers.

Pros

- The ability to divide tasks into groups named 'sprints' which can be worked on by a whole team week by week - Emails you with relevant updates if you are 'watching' a task - The ability to easily assign a task to other individuals, who are notified accordingly

Cons

- I thought learning how to navigate JIRA at the beginning was a little more difficult when compared to Trello -

Jira is great PM tool for medium to large game development projects

Pros

Overall, I really like the flexibility that Jira provides. The one feature that I most appreciate when I use another PM tool is built-in support for Fix Versions. Being able to assign a fix version for a sprint and for each build, makes it easy to see all the tasks and bugs that are in a given full release or an individual build.

Cons

A lot of folks, especially artists, have a general disdain for the Jira UX. It is not as ergonomic, clean, and tactile as Trello or Basecamp. I would love it if there were a way for Boards in Jira to be as simple and powerful as boards in Trello.

Cons

Maybe the design can still be improved, in comparison with trello which is also an Atlassian's software, Jira looks old.

Jira offers a huge array of features for tracking and reporting, pipeline and roadmap planning, and has plenty of customisation capabilities.

Cons

It is quite a bit more complex than alternatives like Trello or Monday which could be burdensome for small teams.

One of the best Help Desk software

We started the tests with Jira in order to better manage and organize the tickets reported by users to our help desk. With a large number of users, email was an unfeasible tool that generated more problems than solutions. Now, we can work in an orderly way and keep track of each and every ticket.

Pros

One of the best features of Jira Service Desk is mainly its clear, simple and clean user interface. Everything can be found without problems and is visible. Then of course its price, since it is possible to buy the version for very affordable prices by agent without this greatly influencing the IT budget. The truth is that we are very satisfied so far with the tool.

Cons

Perhaps integration with Trello should be a little cheaper, since with respect to Jira prices, integration is much more expensive.

Industry Leader for Project Management.

Overall, experience has been very positive and so far I have no complaints. However, like mentioned above, the learning curve is quite steep.

Pros

I love that it provides dynamic features especially if you are an IT agency or IT company with digital projects and for teams that are based remotely. Especially in times like now. It's highly customizable and it provides features that will help optimize and facilitate project management and delivery.

Cons

I love almost everything about the software expect the steep learning curve in the beginning. Having woked with Trello and Asana in my last jobs, moving to Jira gave me a hard time in the beginning however I learned fast and Jira is nothing but Asana and Trello on steriods!

JIRA is a Good, But Overly Complicated, Project Management Software

Jira is a full-featured project and task management software that has a lot of useful features and is highly customizable. However, there is also a bit of a learning curve when starting out on Jira. It may be too complex for those with who simply want to track the projects they are working on, outside of any strict project management framework.

Pros

- Ability to toggle between different views, including Gantt chart and Kanban board - Easy to use for progress tracking on various projections - Lots of options for customization

Cons

- Overly complex, especially for new users - Not as easy to learn as a more simple project management software like Trello

It's a great tool. We switched from Trello which was overly simple and not as secure.

Pros

- great ticket/epic organization with built-in alerting and issue tracking - connects to the rest of the tools that our product and engineering team uses - scales extremely well

Cons

- it can be difficult to train new team members on without the right materials

Pros

Trello is really appreciated for its UX. Easy interface, easy-to-use, you can add many informations into a card in few clicks. I can prioritize daily tasks just with grabbing a card into a new stage or new order. Keep going!

Cons

No complex boards, can not replace JIRA for sure. Less secure than JIRA too.

Very happy with both free and paid. It's Jira-lite. (love Jira too)

Pros

I like how easy it is to schedule and manage projects. Tagging people is intuitive and efficient. Reminders are super helpful. Even the free option is great, but paid just gives you more flexibility to customize some of the options.

Cons

I didn't really have an cons. At least none that I can remember. I'm so used to it now.
