I love it. But Yardi has a few things better than MRI.
Easier to use than Yardi. MRI reports are prettier than Yardi.
Drop Down boxes in AP does not work. It is easier to drill down in Yardi. Stacking Plans are hard to read. Stacking Plans can not download to excel. Printing Income Statement - suppress zeros does not work for our Custom Report. Yardi downloads to excel are 100% better than MRI.

It's very user friendly, has more options than you would probably ever use and it's somewhat reasonably priced compared to Yardi.
We use it for our accounting for tenants and payables. This is the most user friendly software there is out there for property management. My favorite by far.
It is not as compatable with other systems like Yardi is that's why people tend to use Yardi more than MRI.

I would let you make your own inference but as far as mine… 1 star out of 5!
Information integrated with Yardi well but other than that 1 star
Everything about this software was wrong!! As an Assistant Manager it makes my job more difficult and harder.

easier than most other accounting software
The detailed accounting from tenant management, work orders . It made it easy to identify costly tenants and variances in my budget.
not the easiest software to train new employees on, and was extremely difficult for prospecting with new renters compared to my experience with Yardi and OneSite. Also, it would let half information process in the system (such as work order with no info or category) this should have popped up w/ error box to be able to submit.

I use MRI as a commercial real estate administrator manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. It has helped me deliver clear and accurate reports to my managers, clients and tenants and once you get used to navigating it - which can take awhile - it is one of the most important tools of my job.
MRI provides an accurate, in-depth view of financial data. It has multiple functions and there are many, many different types of reports that you can run, making it a versatile and steadfast financial tool. I like the ability to run quick rent rolls, ledgers, aged reports and variance analysis which are reports that I need everyday to do my job.
MRI is not as easy to learn as Yardi and you have to be very careful with your parameters or the report will fail to generate. This can get frustrating when you don't realize which parameter is incorrect. I have also had multiple issues with reports failing to generate through no fault of the parameters set and depending on the size of the report it sometimes can take as long as a few minutes to load.

We are only a few months into being live in Yardi Voyager, but so far the experience has been what we hoped for in making the switch from MRI. We also use the Yardi CRM platform, as well, which allows us to seamlessly switch back and forth if needed. While the difficulty in ensuring permissions across the board are correct for our users, Voyager is doing everything as we had intended at the moment, and we look forward to getting more used to all the bells and whistles we didn't have with MRI Software.
Voyager isn't flashy, but it offers an easy-to-navigate interface that we loved. We especially love the Community Manager dashboard, which has streamlined our live reporting and ability to easily access availability, resident data, make ready schedules and more! Plus, the amount of reports out of the box is astronomical.
The "roles" and "permissions" can be tricky to navigate, even with guidance from Yardi. We are going on month two of being live in Yardi Voyager, and are still running into access issues for areas that are essential to our business, though those are easily updated once we know what permission to update.

Software works really well if you spend the time to learn it. Yardi is robust and has a lot of features. Learning curve is pretty steep, and not necessarily worth it.
Software is consistent. Don't expect new updates to break the software. Software is great if you do Commercial and Retail management. Not the best for student housing.
Software is slow. Loading reports takes a long time. Learning the software is not easy for staff, especially as software is pretty counter-intuitive.

Looking for new software now.
The Automatic reporting is a helpful feature. The dashboard is nice, but very rudamentory and the none of the date due by fields work
not easy. Clunky dashboard. No automation. No app. Not Apple friendly. Unreliable. no picture. Less automatic then it should be.

Generally Yardi is great software, it is powerful and allows the user to complete a lot of tasks that other competitor software suites do not.
Yardi Voyager is a very powerful option for property management. It is very user-friendly in the sense that you can manipulate lots of data in different ways, it is organized, and can handle high volume.
The software could definitely use some optimization updates. It is designed for use with IE, and does not typically work well with other browsers. It also tends to be slow, with some tech clean-up it would definitely be more efficient.

Amazing and definitely recommend this software to manage your finances!!
I usually only use Yardi to process invoices and bills and to track the processing of invoices. It is so easy to keep a record of the accounts payable and has absolutely amazing features that allows us to pay with any payment method that is suitable to us. The record of each invoice along with exact dates, payment date, entry date is amazing to have and to align with our accounting. Love it!
I feel sometimes the features are little bit slow which could be improved

I really like the software the reports are great. hey are detailed and broken down and very easy to use software.
The only thing i dislike is the price. They charge a very high MIN price even if you only need it for a couple of units. If it was not for the price we would have kept it.

Overall I enjoy the software and would suggest it for any Property Manager!
I love being able the do all the accounting from one source. Yardi makes keeping track of leads as easy as a click of the button . I have no idea how are company lived so long without this product .
I wish that customer service was a little bit faster at getting issues resolved. It has taken sometimes two to three weeks to figure out software malfunctions.

It is the superior accounting/management software compared to others that I have tried.
It speeds up the accounting process and makes it easy to share information across organizations with multiple users interacting
The autofill feature can be problematic but that might also be a google feature that can be removed.

I am still learning something new every day. It is a very nice system to do property management but it took me over 6 months to fully understand the software & how to use it proficiently.
Doing my monthly balancing is very easy with Yardi. I am able to drill down & figure out where I am off. I like the fact you can pull reports for the G/Ls for each individual company.
How long it has taken me to know the software. Everytime I am on the phone with customer service, I learn new features about the software that I guess is common knowledge with Yardi.

I didn't seem to have any issues. I felt that it was a great software program.
It was very easy to use. Made my job easier. It was easy to keep track of the residents accounts and service requests.
Learning curve - when we switched over from a different software program it was just learning a new system.

There isn’t much that Yardi can’t do. Very detailed reporting which is customizable. Excellent costumer service
The initial set up can be tedious but really Yardi supports are very involved to make it as easy as possible

I like the wide range of features offered by Yardi software. You can perform all leasing and manager functions in one site whereas some others you must supplement additional software for those functions.
The user interface could be updated to a more modern easy to look at layout but its not a big deal overall.

The software was easy to navigate and ease of use was fine.
It still had its moments where entries did not show up and it was slow as molasses. Check Scanning also wasn't the greatest system. I hated the implementation of the PO system and the lack of ease of use (and lack of training) when the upgrade occurred.

Yardi Voyager is very customizable and robust in it's core financial platform. This software combines operational software (property management) with accounting back end software for AR, AP, GL, and core Financial reporting in one tool. There are also tons of add-on modules for many industries allowing for a single stack system (Investment Management, Construction, Facilities Management, Legal process tracking, insurance tracking...)
The learning curve for administering the system is more than some comparable systems, you will most likely need a consultant to support and train you. Custom reports will require a developer.

This is a great program for large commercial property managers with many tenants.
Made accounting functions much swifter. Being able to manage common area maintenance charges in the program is great.
Quite cost prohibited. The software is very expensive and maintaining it yearly is pretty highly priced.

Web based access from any internet connection. Dashboard give an at a glance view.
Conversion was a complete nightmare. Software has glitches & conversion corrupted data. It has been 10 months since conversion; still cannot add modules because core software has too many problems. Not as flexible as Gen1. No accounting support. No local support. Very expensive.

It was pretty much the only viable option for commercial property management because it did have so many features that the clunkiness was just a "price to pay" for everything else.
The customer service was second to none (I've never had such an awesome support team that was so responsive). The software also seemed to be pretty good for the property management side. From all the commercial property management software my client looked at this one was pretty much the only choice because of the robust functionality and the one-stop integration (accounting and client management were in the same software).
SUPER clunky, and early 90s interface. From an accounting perspective there was so much that it was lacking - including controls (like being able to lock people out of certain functionality while giving them access to the other modules they did need). It was also really frustrating because the accounting reports were quite unsightly.
