I am able to track financials for multiple types of properties in one place and print reports for my accountant.

There is no clear way to track personal funds invested as a loan to the company, which is a major drawback.

I love that you can connect your bank account and credit card(s) to Stessa which makes accounting so much easier when you manage multiple properties.

When we do the monthly rent entry, every month we need to enter it manually, wish recurring income like rent should be filled in a column, which would make things easier, when you do this or quite a few properties

I have used QuickBooks Online my entire life and wanted to try something different for managing our single short-term rental property.

Also, do not pay annually—the subscription refund policy is terrible, and you will not receive a prorated refund.

They do not care about customer service which means they do not care about their customers.   When I complained online to them about this,  [sensitive content hidden] response was to tell me, “We are only a team of 3 people so we do what we can in terms of phone support.”

It's been a great way to manage my finances while I juggle multiple properties.

It's user-friendly and allows me to easily categorize expenses.

You pay extra to be able to speak to a human being.  

Pretty reports are useless as there is a serious bug in Stessa software, specifically how it processes transactions downloaded from your bank.  

Still adjusting to duplication of entries.

Lastly, the syncing of bank transactions can be up to a day delayed until they show up in the software.

I like that I can store data, numbers, documents etc in a one stop shop.  

Rent doesn't change by month, and many bills are the exact amount each month, like mortgage payments.  

I wish I could force the software to "name" certain vendors the way I like when their info is automatically imported.  

Its transaction base which is fine, and you can associate a transaction with a property but you can't associate a transaction with an account, so there is no way to filter by account.   If you manually add a transaction you can't associate it with an account.   

It's a bit of a pain to have to go in and constantly update them from their "DBA" name to the name that I recognize in my daily business.  

I can enter and save and categorize every income and expense.  

I have all the financial and business metric reports that I would ever need by various time periods.

Stessa would regularly remove 10-20% of the transactions, and the even worst part is it wouldn't say it did.  

I am a small business owner with a full life and Stessa has allowed me to have a more enjoyable work/life balance.

For my specific situation, there’s an issue with repeatedly having to refresh the bank connection but that’s because my bank is not as sophisticated as other mainstream banks that are better supported by the protocol that imports the transactions

Running reports is a breeze and makes tax time extremely easy to manage as well.

It had changed the way I look at accounting (a pain in the past), and I almost look forward to opening Stessa!

This is just a really well thought out application that allows you to track every and all expenses for the property.
