Pros

This is greatly used as this is a great place to save all the passwords and it will autofill. And also recommends when a new website is trying to create a password.
Keeper is an excellent tool for keeping your accounts (and all the data contained in them) secure, and it helps you create secure passwords without having to remember them.
Protection, ease of use, ability to share records with my account managers in the business and the price was good.

Pros

Keepass is a lifesaver for me, i have many many pswd on my work and thanks to this software i can manege it really good.
Their password keeping system is really good and their site interface was amazing. I really like there working way.
Secure, easy to use, run on different platforms. Nice place to secure you favorite links with your credentials.

Cons

If those users go on to leave the company, you will be permanently unable to edit those records.
My client sometimes create loads of entries without folders and they are heavy users then get lost.
The only downside for this is - even logging from the same computer after 30 days it needs a code to log in.

Cons

I have been hacked several times and losing my e-mail address as many times and it's so frustrating. With Keepass, I can use several passwords that are so complicated that I can't remember them.
The interface is terrible, the user experience is terrible. It took me weeks to learn how to use it, and I found myself avoiding it at every turn.
The lack of cloud based hosting and sync proved to be a barrier to long term use.

Decent password tool for business

Reviewed 4 years ago

Needed a password manager and I looked at Keeper to solve that issue for us. In the end we went with someone else.

Pros

Keeper is easy to use making their interface very user friendly is probably one of the main pros. Keeper helps keep passwords hard to guess and easy to manage across all websites.

Cons

It's a bit pricey. If keeper maybe had other options for less features for a cheaper price it would make this solution better than KeePass.

Manages passwords well

Reviewed 3 years ago

Keepass has been a reliable keeper of my passwords for years. The manual password management fits my operating style just fine, but I do sometimes run into frustrations with its lack of integration with other software.

Pros

Organizes and manages passwords well and keeps them in an encrypted format. With a plugin addition, can also sync your passwords to a cloud storage provider and share them across multiple devices.

Cons

It doesn't integrate with web browsers or applications to automatically enter or record the passwords, so all management is manual.

Great free option for securely storing your passwords

Reviewed 5 years ago

Information security is becoming an increasingly intense thing to be diligent about. Knowing that I learned about KeePass with high recommendations from an information security professional keeps me feeling it's a top choice.

Pros

-Free -Fairly user friendly -Level of security seems trustworthy -Came highly recommended from a conference presenter who is a professional in the field of information security

Cons

-I feel a bit like I have to re-figure things out each time I log in - perhaps if I used it very frequently it would come to feel more intuitive. -I made some changes to my phone to free up space and it seemed I had lost everything in KeePass. Luckily I realized I had the app on another device as well so I was able to recover things there, but the experience made me question whether to keep using it.

Pros

I like that Keepass is very secure and runs off of a database model (using blockchain technology). We keep our keepass not integrated to any web apps, which is more secure. Most other password managers are linked to the web, which poses some security threatss

Cons

Not connected to web apps. We see this as a plus for security

Touted as Free But Not So

I was looking for reliable, safe, easy to use password keeper. This was reported to be reliable, good, and free. However, to get the free demo, you must go thru sales rep pitch and demo. For a busy busy owner, this is sometimes difficult to schedule vs download free trial and try it out.

Pros

Keeping passwords safe and easy to access.

Cons

Hard to find pricing when shopping without going to hassle of full demo and sales pitch.

Great Free Open Source Password Vault

Reviewed 3 years ago

Have used for many years. It was my first password keeper. I used a long, complex password to encrypt the database so if the file is stolen it might take years to crack. I am migrating off this solution in favor of a more secure solution that is easy to use on multiple devices.

Pros

Open source solution that provides good protection for all of your passwords and other sensitive information.

Cons

Hard to use on multiple devices. Possibility of offline cracking if file is stolen.

Really great password utility

I use KeePass to keep my passwords straight - and with today's security requirements, that can be a real issue.

Pros

I love that you're not beholden to the cloud for your password storage - you're able to keep your password database local, encrypted, and safe.

Cons

It can be difficult to transfer the database between computers if you're not tech-savvy, but that's not too much of an issue.

A superb password manager

Reviewed 6 years ago

A free password manager that I can keep out of the cloud.

Pros

If you'd like to manage your passwords locally without any interference from the cloud, it'll be difficult to find a better solution than KeePass (that's also free!). Cloud password storage is all about convenience, not security. This isn't to say that cloud-based password managers aren't secure, but keeping them out of the cloud all together is simply more secure. KeePass is simple enough to use, and there's really no reason in today's security breachathon age that EVERYONE shouldn't be using a password manager like KeePass.

Cons

The UI could be better, but I will take focus on features, functionality and security over form any day.

KeePass- Keeping passwords in a safe

Overall it have been great experience and all the passwords are safe and centralized at single vault instead of writing and saving them at different locations.

Pros

It allows to manage and organize the credentials. The best advantage of this software over other similar ones is that it allows to create customize password with various constraints instead of generating random one, so one can generate according to different scenarios.

Cons

I don't found any disadvantage in this software, but it lacks that two-factor authentication should be implemented to enhance security.

I am not a fan of KeePass

Reviewed 5 years ago

My overall experience using KeePass has been average. I was not excited about using this software and it the worst part is that you can't use it on any device. Once I found an online alternative I haven't looked back since.

Pros

KeePass is good for users who are not security aware and are not heavy computer and mobile device users.

Cons

I don't like KeePass because you would have to constantly back up your passwords in order to make sure you have a copy of them. This is also not good in case the computer crashes.

If security is a top concern for you (and it should be!) use KeePass!

Reviewed 5 years ago

It has made our company a lot more secure by providing a way whereby we can insist on using strong unique passwords for anywhere we need to log into.

Pros

It is finally a very secure way to secure login information by creating and storing long unique passwords. I love the fact that it is open source, not cloud based, and I don't need to worry about the company behind it being tempted to make money off of my data.

Cons

It is a tad clumsy for beginners, but I realize that features and security come before UX in a product like this.
