I have extensive experience with professional video editing, and once I switched to Mac, I started to move to Final Cut Pro. It takes time to get used to its quirks, but once you memorize crucial shortcuts (the Tilde key is your friend!), you'll be handling big projects with ease.
Final Cut Pro offers almost unparalleled speed and performance for video editing, with all the bells and whistles video editors need, inside a clean and simple interface. Plus, it's insanely cheap: $300 for life. Mac users avoid this at their peril.
Final Cut Pro's controversial features like the Magnetic Timeline take a LOT of getting used to. And there are much fewer plugins and templates than After Effects/Premiere.

As an intern at the IT department in the university, I had the opportunity to work with Final Cut Pro on various video editing projects. I found the software to be powerful and efficient, especially when working on complex projects. The software's interface was easy to navigate, and its range of tools made it easy to accomplish tasks quickly. However, it did take some time to learn the software's advanced features, and the price may be a barrier for some users.
Final Cut Pro is a robust video editing software that provides professional-grade features for video editors. With a sleek and intuitive interface, users can easily create, edit and share high-quality videos. The software allows users to work with various file formats, including 4K and 8K resolution, and has an extensive range of video and audio effects. The software also integrates well with other Apple software, making it an ideal choice for Mac users. Final Cut Pro's ability to handle complex projects and its range of powerful tools makes it a top choice for professional video editors.
While Final Cut Pro is a powerful video editing software, it is also relatively expensive compared to other video editing software. Additionally, its interface may be overwhelming for beginners, and the learning curve may be steep for those new to video editing. Finally, Final Cut Pro is only available on Mac OS, which limits its accessibility to users who use other operating systems.

I use Final Cut to edit e-course videos, YouTube videos, and sometimes even videos for Facebook and Instagram. It gets the job done well. It's easy to understand and navigate. It's great for novice video editors and full-out pros. It's a great, versatile software that's really a pleasure to work with.
I love that this software is accessible. Content creation is a rapidly growing industry and Apple was insightful enough to make a high-quality video editing product that anyone can learn to master.
The worst part about this software is the stock effects. At this point, it would be better for Apple to pay creators to utilize their custom cuts, LUTs, sounds, titles, etc than to keep pretending that the pre-installed ones are of professional quality. Using the built-in effects can make videos look cheap and low quality.

A great software at a very reasonable price that allows the user to develop progressively without pain and produce amazing results that are easily integrated into presentation software, movies, web platform etc.
So many amazing features! Relatively to use compared to beginners' tools. Very versatile Allows the user to share on different platform and media. Professional software for professional results vis a user friendly interface.
The cons are directly related to the pros : amazing features ...but this can be overwhelming at first very versatile ... you need to know what you want to do with this as it is easy to get lost

For quick projects Final Cut Pro is amazing. For very heavy editing, you need plugins and other external resources in order to get the final result you may need.
What I like the most is the ease of use, very intuitive. It can be used by beginners as well as experienced video editors. The possibility to add tons of plugins with effects, visual overhaul, text, and audio plugins is endless, making Final Cut Pro really cheap and worth the money. I love that it is version based, and you don't have to be subscribed in order to use it. The rendering is mostly extremely fast.
The out-of-the-box effects are very limited, and you need to either create your own or use third-party plugins. Also, importing HDR videos from iPhone makes the project look so bright, it takes quite some time to figure out why and how to fix it.

I learned to edit on FCPx and have very positive feelings about this software. It makes editing and creating easy and pain-free
It's a one-off fee to unlock one of the best editing suites on the planet. It's incredibly simple to use, fast and powerful, and comes with lots of tools (effects, transitions and titles) to make editing quick and simple. It doesn't crash very often and autosaves after every change, making editing a frustrating-free experience.
Sharing project files is hard as there is no way to share a project library without sharing all the files (which makes is very heavy), There should be a better focus on collaborating online editing.

Final Cut Pro stands out as a feature-rich video editing software for professionals. Its sleek interface facilitates effortless creation, editing, and sharing of high-quality videos. With extensive format compatibility, including 4K and 8K, and a wide array of video and audio effects, it caters to diverse editing needs. The captioning feature ensures compliance with accessibility regulations, while the precise audio editing capabilities eliminate imperfections. Notably, the "flow" transition adds a touch of magic to transitions. Overall, Final Cut Pro offers an intuitive and cost-effective solution for powerful professional editing.
While Final Cut Pro offers a range of editing features, it falls short in certain areas. The stock effects often lack professional quality, and the organization of raw files can be confusing. Integration with After Effects is absent, requiring reliance on third-party add-ons.

My first experience with Final Cut was on the FCP7, while collaborating with a marketing agency handling promotional content for a side hustle I was launching. Seeing how seamless the guy was breezing through the creation process pushed me to give it a try myself for a subsequent project. The price was higher than I thought, but was absolutely worth it.
It handles a wide variety of input formats, and has never struggled with any of them. I also find the output file preconfigured options quite useful, meaning I don't have to manually tinker with the output settings to tailor my videos for whatever particular purpose it is intended. I only get to point and pick. Another great thing about Final Cut is the user interface, just as most other apple products, absolutely beautiful and functional.
Integration options with non-apple products is either too difficult or completely non-existent.

I was looking for a first time video editing software. Of course of trial basis. With a 90 day trial this was my choice. It was easy to navigate and the pre customized effects and designs were easy to use. i learnt to edit videos quickly. Cost wise, i feel it is better than monthly subscriptions payments
I got a bit overwhelmed with the steep learning curve required. The final cut pro third party effects seems quite expensive though readily available. the available resources such as effects and designs are easily editable. i could blame this on my inexperience with the software at the time.

I think it’s a great software and I often recommend it to my colleagues in the industry (who use Apple to edit).
I like the user interface of Final Cut Pro. It is intuitive to use and is updated frequently. It is also highly optimized to be run on Apple devices. As a result, render times are very good and the relationship between computer and software is seamless. It is also a one-time payment which is refreshing in a world where every company is switching to subscription based pricing models.
The only thing I dislike about Final Cut Pro is that it’s a little bit harder, at least to me, to use Motion (another software) when doing motion graphics. I think the Premiere Pro and After Effects was a bit easier to use for this purpose but I would still prefer to use Final Cut Pro overall.

Amazing piece of software. The sheer amount of stuff you can do on this editing software is amazing. From key-framing, to color correcting, and your regular clipping & cutting videos, it's my go-to software for video editing.
It's expensive. That's the only bad thing I have to say. I love this product.

Final Cut Pro has offered me the freedom to create great projects to upload to my youtube channel, my networks like TikTok or Instagram and sometimes has helped me to develop videos for my clients, editing in this software is simple, even in aspects such as colorization, at other times I have been limited when making bigger post-production, I recommend this software for simple projects, we can create good videos for any occasion with this program, and I think any apple user can take great advantage of it.
Final Cut Pro is a great video editor for the apple user who is only looking to make simple edits, this software can automatically trim our video to fit the dimensions of any social media. This video editor has custom overlays to adjust the design of our text and graphics. Final Cut Pro is optimized to offer better performance on the new generation of Mac computers. So if you have one of these PC's you will be able to render your projects much faster. In my opinion, if you are looking for a friendly video editor that allows you to make projects comfortably on your mac for any social network, final cut pro is a great option.
Final Cut Pro is expensive for the features it offers, it's a really simple video editor, and can offer us resources to make great videos for our social networks, but it's a very limited software when we want to create complex projects, for a lower price we can access video editors aimed at a more professional audience. Final Cut Pro bets on the creation of linear videos, leaving aside many functions to create a further elaborate work. If you're a video editing professional and you are looking for software that allows you to handle all aspects of our post-production, I would recommend you to look for another video editor, because most of the time you will be very limited by the features of Final Cut Pro.

There are tons of features within FCPX which makes it a very flexible tool for creating professional instructional videos.
I have been using Final Cut Pro for sometime mainly to create numerous instructional videos. I have always relied on its great features and abilities to produce short and concise instructional videos. With the use of the powerful trimming and cutting tools, I am able to edit and rearrange footage with ease to create a seamless, cohesive videos. Additionally, the audio editing process is simplified...
While FCPX has a great community and accessible online tutorials, I have found that the third party Video Effects/motion graphics and templates are quite expensive in comparison to Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Overall, It comes out as an expensive editing tool and can be complex with limited support for certain video and audio formats.

A very good value for the money if you're planning on investing in it for the long run, my company bought it for seniors to start using it, as they mentioned it to be more advanced, the ability to edit your shots in high res, adding that cinematic mode on it and tracking the focus with object tracking sold me, the color grading is on par with high end film software and the rendering speeds on our iMacs are solid, i do recommend it if you're planning on using it on the long run.
It's one of the best video editing tools in the market for Mac users, it has unique features that a lot of other editors don't have, the object tracking feature literally is out of this world, and the cinematic mode makes you feel like as if your video was shot straight from a cinema camera, the fast rendering, the auto HDR capabilities are top notch, ability to edit the prores from iphone is perfect, and you can use it to edit 360 videos for virtual tours. all in all #1.
The price, the price is really really high, considering it's a one time payment, however if your projects are advanced and you work at a business that values top quality it's not an issue whatsoever

I have been using Final Cut Pro for more than 10 years. It was way above Adobe Premier and second to Avid. However, the company decide not to continue to develop this beautiful tool, it fall from grace. However, it's an editing tool that you don't have to pay for subscription fee and it's sophisticated enough to win other non-professional editing tools. It offers a sound and graphic library that doesn't cost you extra dollars. Its editing technique is similar to adobe premiere, except some shortcut. So, for beginners, this is a great tool.
1. No subscription fee 2. Still a professional editing tool, although it can not be used for professional editing 3. The basic sound and graphic library is better than the free adobe premiere library 4. Output is still practical for social media.
1. The output is no longer compatible with ProTool, it needs the third party software to bridge, but that software has so many problem, it doesn't work well. That's the end of the professional editing software life. it's very sad that the company not invest into such a wonderful editing tools and let it die slowly over time. 2. Sound and colour correction are two weakness of this software. It's impossible for the online editing. So, it becomes the amateur editor's toy.

It is a piece of software that is visually pleasing and has a user-friendly interface and all the pro features. We have been using it for years in our group. It has never failed me down. As an e-learning firm, we consistently generate a ton of flexible video material, which always delivers.
It fulfills every need a skilled video editor might have. It includes everything, from simple data import to advanced effects. Most of our video content is produced using green screens, and the results are consistently stunning. Numerous collaborative tools are available since this program is so widely used. It is simple to use, making it ideal for novices.
I honestly don't see any flaws with it. The cost is the only drawback in my opinion. But as I've already stated, it is unquestionably worth the investment.

This tool makes my work easy. The duration of the video is never a problem now. Just drag and drop, add and cut, use effects and transitions. Done! The video is ready for uploading . This is far the best option for editing videos. 2 words to describe it: Fast and Easy!
This software interface is very user friendly. Dragging and dropping the video on the timeline directly saves a lot of time. The effects and transitions can easily be applied to one part or the full project which makes the process very fast and smooth. The exporting options like directly uploading videos to a youtube channel directly is very helpful.
As this software is premium the best tools and plugins costs a lot of money. So the only downside is the pricing. Because of the price range a lot of my team members can not afford it. If more free tools and plugins were available then undoubtedly the users would be benefited.

Its been wonderful. I enjoy getting an idea and figuring it out on final cut pro. If you think it, you can do it. Most likely with some help from those on youtube that are better at it.
I have been using Final Cut for a long time. When I was a student in highschool this was a really hard tool to use. We used it because it was a great product but it was very difficult. I remember seeing a library of manuals for it in our lab. However, years ago they came out with FCPX and it is very user friendly now for the basics, yet still has the depth to do anything.
Wish their was more transitions, effects, etc. You can find tons of this online for a cost or even free sometimes but I wish the program itself had more to start with.

If you are coming from iMovie, Final Cut Pro feels a bit more familiar and not as intimidating. Final Cut Pro is very friendly and take a lot less time to get used to compared to other pro level video editing software.

As a content creator, this program fully satisfies my needs. Final Cut Pro lets me easily YouTube videos.
When I transitioned from Windows to macOS, Final Cut Pro was one of the first programs I installed. Being a beginner, I found it intuitive and got the hang of it in no time. With lots of tutorials available on the Internet on how to get specific things done with the software, I was never stuck, even as a beginner. When compared with the main competition, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro is a lot cheaper, and the one-off purchase price saves one a lot of money in the long run.
Apart from the limited number of effects you get by default, there isn't much to complain about.

Final Cut Pro was the reason I purchased my first Mac. It was much more expensive back then but came with a complete suite of tools for color grading and exporting. While the price dropping is much appreciated, I wish they kept color and further developed it. Overall, I am still happy with Final Cut as I feel it is easier to use than Premiere Pro and Avid has always been too expensive.
- Pricing, it used to be 3 times more when it was offered as part of a suite, since Apple switched to pro-sumer, they made Final Cut very affordable. - Simple to use for beginners. - A wide variety of plugins available
- Not available on Windows, I do not understand why they keep some softwares Mac only. - Lack of integration with other softwares. I use After Effect and Cinema 4D a lot and the integration with Motion is not really interesting to most Video Editors in my circle.

A pleasant software to use, that puts you at ease and is slowly discovered as you use it. The interface is well thought out, just to avoid being scared and overwhelmed by buttons and various options. The limitation of not being able to share with Windows users is definitely worth considering if you work in a team.
This software is really intuitive and easy to use. The buttons are well placed and the rendering is handled flawlessly, making the workflow nice and smooth.
Compared to other software, you might consider the price challenging ($300 or so). I would like it if there was an internal search engine for transitions, also external and paid.
