ProSeries Tax FAQs
Intuit ProSeries Tax is a cloud-based tax management software designed to help accounting firms prepare returns, file e-forms, and track tax filing errors through diagnostic tools. Features include multi-user access, e-signature, status tracking, multi-year e-filing, encrypted PDF files, and data import. Intuit ProSeries Tax includes a line-sensitive help feature, which enables accountants to trace the source of field data and determine the information to be included in particular fields. Tax professionals can view the status of an e-file, monitor missing data in clients' return files, and send email notifications to update clients about them. The data input assistance functionality lets users search forms to add uncommon or unusual data in a return. The application provides a library of forms such as 1040, 1041, and 1120 and allows transfer of data to individual returns using K-1 data import. It also integrates with SmartVault, letting users manage documents and import returns via the client portal. With the Intuit Link module, accountants can collect and organize client’s confidential data including file uploads and images via a secure online portal. Intuit ProSeries Tax enables professionals to create checklists of required client items, set-up custom billing options, and depict client’s net income, deduction, and comparisons through graphs and charts. It also helps users handle tax payments, withholding, income, and expenditures using a tax planner.
